People have claimed that this home has the most amazing view of the ocean (160 degrees of unobstructed views) in Ocean Sands. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at Milo’s Waves. The house quickly felt like home as it is comfortable and roomy enough for our group of nine and absolutely beautiful as well. There seemed to be nothing that was missing as we found anything and everything we ever looked for or needed!We had ages 7 months to 83 years old with us and everyone was comfortable. There are lots of stairs as one would expect with a three story house but fortunately all of us were up to the task!We spent most of our time on the top floor and around the pool......what a spectacular view from the top floor!The home was conveniently located to easily visit many wonderful shops and restaurants and the owners suggestions for places to visit were spot on!We would definitely consider revisiting Milo’s Waves. The owners obviously take great pride in their property and are dedicated to making other family’s stays fantastic!

It ended up just being the two of us enjoying the entire house. We ate out the entire week, so we didn’t get to enjoy the big kitchen. We didn’t use the hot tub because the weather was just too cold for me. We enjoyed walking the beach every morning which was the highlight of our trip! I put up a little prelit Christmas tree and I left it in the top floor bedroom closet and hope that others will enjoy using it anytime they want. We celebrate Christmas anytime our family is able to be together. We loved staying at Milo’s Wave and my Service Dog loved going with us everywhere. I’ve already recommended your rental services to friends and family, and I plan to book Milo’s Wave just as soon as I know our family dates! This was our second stay in this house and Wow!!! The improvements were amazing! The first floor was opened up with a sitting area, separate laundry, half bath and door to the pool area.(all new) The second floor has 3 bedrooms and a second full bath was added(perfect). The main floor was beautifully opened up to add space to the kitchen and it was amazing! So much function. The pool and hot tub were well used and the location to the beach was why we decided to come back but the renovations made this a no brainer. We felt like the owners really cared about their guests needs and it showed throughout the home. I would recommend the home and Beach Realty.

The house was in a good location and we appreciated the recent upgrades. The kitchen was especially well stocked with cooking and storage supplies and the dining table was probably big enough for 10 people. The neighborhood is very dark at night, bring a flashlight to walk your dog. The rental company gives you a little one but with no batteries. The beach is a 5 minute walk and wasn’t crowded. The house had beach chairs but they were broken so bring your own. They had functioning umbrellas though, and boogie boards I think. I’m mentioning that because it’s the one thing I wanted info on beforehand and the rental company didn’t know. We would definitely recommend this house and hope to come back, I probably wouldn’t even look at other houses next time if Milo’s Waves is open.

This is a very nice home that sits up high, which gives you great views of the ocean over the high dunes. The renovations are well done. The home is comfortable, clean and well maintained. Nice pool area. Short walk to the beach. Located close to Harris Teeter grocery store, as well as many nearby restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay. Highly recommend!

The upgrades to this home were amazing! The fresh new kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms made the house feel as if it was brand new. The rental process was seamless, everything went as planned from arrival to departure. The walk to the ocean was actually shorter then we originally anticipated and the location was in reach of shopping, dining, and fun for children.

The kitchen was well stocked with everything one would need for preparing a meal. Besides the refrigerator, there was absolutely no place to store food. All the cupboards were full of equipment. Otherwise, the rental was spacious and comfortable.

We loved Milo’s Waves! Our family and dogs had a great time. We loved how close it was to the beach and all the updates were great! Wish there was some grass around the house for the dogs to go to the bathroom. Neither of the sinks on the top level had a stopper for someone who wears contacts and needs to plug the sink so we don’t lose them. The kitchen had everything we needed but housekeeping could have left some hand towels for the half baths. We had a wonderful week except for the neighbor across the street who would glare at us every time she saw us. She complained about lights we left on at night but some are automatic that we couldn’t turn off. We tried to turn all the others off but she was not happy with us. Idk if we were the first guests to stay there since the update but she has a long summer to deal with renters. We would definitely stay again! Thanks for the beach chairs, toys and bikes. Unfortunately we never got to use the bikes because the weather wasn’t the best but it’s awesome they were provided. We loved the quick path from the garage to the pool thru the outdoor shower!

In all of my 20+ years of coming down to OBX, this has been THE WORST experience I have ever had with this house and rental company!! We have rented through Twiddy and Brindley Beach Reality and have had such success with both realtors. We came across this property last October, and went out on a limb, and gave this reality company a try.
From the start in October, I have had poor communication- I had asked questions about the property prior to going down, so we could be prepared with amenities, and they went unanswered.
On our way driving to the house, we get a call that there was a pipe that burst, “but it shouldn’t affect our stay.”
Once we got into the house- after they texted and said the house was ready, it was absolutely FILTHY. And no- I did not report the issues with a call in within 24 hrs, because I was so disgusted with everything, and I did not want to delay our vacation any further due to the incompetencies of the cleaning staff. After driving for over 12 hours, I had to then clean a house that was supposed to be ready for us. There was sand ALL over the floors in the house. Coffee grounds left in the brewer, grounds all over the hot plate, and stale coffee in the coffee pot. Dirty dishes were left in the dishwasher, and some were just FLAT OUT placed back in the cabinets! Sand was still in the bottom of the pool and hot tub- the hot tub was that dirty and smelly that we couldn’t use it all week. LAYERS of dust everywhere- on top of dressers, cabinets, and huge dust bunnies under the beds and couches. There weren’t even enough pots and pans for me to cook for our family if 7. Not ONE large frying pan!!
The most disturbing things we found was a DEAD cockroach in the bunk bed room- the room where OUR CHILDREN SLEPT and mice feces around the house!!! Never, NEVER- in a rental property have I found such conditions, let alone a place that we’re paying 5k for the week for.
Even after coming home (after we left EARLY bc we couldn’t take the filth) and contacting the realty company, they refused to do anything about our stay- EVEN WHEN I INCLUDED PICTURES AS PROOF!! They had the nerve to say because I did not contact them at the time of arrival, they can’t do anything about it. I’m sorry for wanting to clean a home so my children can enjoy it after being stuck in a car for 12 hrs- not have to wait while you “clean” again.
Bottom line- DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS HOME OR REALTY COMPANY!!

We had a wonderful time at this well appointed, perfect size beach home. The kitchen was fabulous, the view of the ocean from 2nd & 3rd floors was spectacular. It was very comfortable and felt like home away from home. The owners take great pride in their property. The pool was large and salt water, which was great. We didn't need to rent beach umbrellas or chairs because they were available at the house. All in all, it was one of the very best beach homes we have ever rented in 34 years in Ocean Sands.

This property is one street back from the ocean but higher than other properties on the street so you get a surprisingly good view of the ocean. The pool is larger than expected for a house of this size and the decking around it is spacious. House is very well equipped for TV and internet. The pictures are pretty accurate. Electronic check in was very convenient but rental company did not answer their phone or go to voice mail when we called to say we were checking out. Otherwise would have given the rental company 5 stars because they were good to work with throughout the entire process until check out. During our stay the garbage disposal died and the rental company promptly replaced it. We also had issues with the hot tub after a severe storm. Although the repairman came promptly and diagnosed the problem a replacement part was not immediately available so for our last two days the hot tub was only partially functional. I did not down rate the property or the company because of this. Things break from time to time in my own home and sometimes it takes a few days to locate the replacement parts--and I do not live on a barrier island. Overall, a very good experience.

We arrived to a VERY dirty home-dog hair covering the floors and dirty bathrooms, clearly it was NOT cleaned like it was suppose to be. After contacting the company about returning to clean, they arrived to re-clean HOURS late from what we agreed upon. They never touched the bathrooms and just vacuumed again. The freezer broke during our stay and we stayed half the week without a working freezer. It was then removed and replaced during the day we left which was very annoying to have them there all day blocking our ONLY entrance and exit to the home. We left a message to call us and we never received a phone call regarding issues at hand. We will not be returning.Communication was poor and minimal and too many issues for the price that was paid. Shame because the home was a great location for our needs.

We had stayed here for three years prior and very happy. This year unfortunately the home was not clean, has a roach problem and many items were in disrepair. We did not receive prompt responses from Beach Realty. Due to the many issues we had to cut our vacation short. We would no longer recommend this home to anyone.

Midewed because there was no plastic liner.also master on floor 2 plastic liner in shower had mold and mildew which meant had not been replaced on a while. Someone dropped off plastic liners and left tgem.on the steps 2 second level which I just happened to see because I used the grill on Ypn Thurs.Gaf plugs in both master bathrooms did not work...until they were replaced later in the week. Lastly bugs in the place. Our stay was not enjoyable and far from being what your listing of the property stated.

This home desperately needs a good cleaning. We killed a couple of **** roaches and learned to quickly laundry all wet towels and swimming suits. We also witnessed the paint swell on the living room wall during a torrential downpour/tornado watch. House location was good and pool/hot tub functioned great.

Great dining table/couch area for our big group, convenient location to beach and groceries, short drive to quality restaurants, quiet street, beautiful beach, had a full crib on site which is worth it’s weight in gold to this mama of a 1.5 year old!!

Kitchen lights did not work. Ceiling fans didn’t work and exposed wires hanging out of ceiling. 4. Low rating on house keeping due to trash from previous guest under furniture and broken pool and beach equipment and toys. 5. Pool was full of sand and after reporting it they still did not come clean the pool. Location was great and it would be a wonderful house with a little TLC.

No Integrity
The entire vacation was ruined by the Realtor. We left a suitcase behind and cleaning crew "didn't find it" There was no question were it was left. The Realtor has shown no empathy or made any effort to help out. Nice house but the treatment on this issue is disturbing and unacceptable.

The house is located in an ideal setting. Not far from the beach access and the beach. The house was not cleaned very well. The cleaning company was only there less than 30 minutes and did a quick clean of the property. The cleaners only finished with less than 5 minutes left on our 6 pm check in time. We found empty vape or e-cigarette cartirdges in a bedroom as well as an empty can of an alcoholic beverage behind the bunk beds.
The Property management company was less than desirable to get ahold of via phone and their customer service was not very good. i called for a replacement gas propane tank on Sunday after we used it once. It took the property company - 4 days to respond back to me and have it replaced on the last night of our stay.
Overall the house was found as described in the online description. Amenities were as described and the pool and hot tub were a great added bonus.
We loved the location of this house near the Harris teeter grocery store and other. Things within bike riding distance.

We have been coming to Ocean Sands Section D for over 30 years. The house is in a great location and has amazing ocean views. The living room furniture is up to date, however, the beds and bathrooms need some serious TLC. The mattresses were all spring coils and very uncomfortable to sleep on in every room of the house. The sheets felt like sand paper and were of very cheap quality.
The house also didn’t have a broom so we had to go to the store and buy one to keep the sand off the kitchen floors. One of our BIGGEST complaints was the condition of the decks and the dry rot that has started to take place especially toddlers like we did. The decks need to be replaced for safety concerns.
If the owners would put some TLC into this property it would be one of the best in the section. The owners did send us a nice welcome basket filled with goodies and we did appreciate that!
