We had a blast during the long weekend and we really enjoyed this property.

Rented this property for a family reunion, and we all enjoyed the property so much that we never left to do any activities, we played pool, cards, hiked etc. To not hear a car or traffic for 3 days was so absolutely refreshing.

Our visit was everything we hoped for. The house and grounds are beautiful. It was quiet and restful and the space was clean and thoughtfully set up. We had everything needed to cook and play. We are return visitors and every time has been consistently great.

Fantastic property. Owner amazing to work with. Zero complaints. Hopefully can find time to stay there again.

We had a wonderful time here with our whole family.

This property is amazing. We were made so welcome on arrival and Rob made sure we had everything we needed. We had a family reunion and had more than enough space for our 19 guests. The added bonus for us was the trails leading straight from the property and we were joined each day on our walks by Dylan and. Bobbie Ron's wonderful family friendly dogs. If we are fortunate enough to visit Canada again this would be the first property we would try and book.

We did a large family reunion here. I don't even know where to begin.
1. The grounds and location were amazing. There were so many places to hang out in the house, and in the grounds.
2. This property includes the use of a small mountain behind the property. There's a nice trail leading right from the property up to the logging road and trail system. There are so many windy trails, we didn't manager to get through them or even make it to the top of the mountain.
3. VACATION DOGS! So, I'm sure that dogs are not guaranteed, but when we arrived we were greeted by two incredibly friendly dogs. The kids spent so much time playing with the dogs. We'd get back from an adventure, and they'd hop out of the car and start looking for the dogs to play with. Every time we went for a hike up the mountain, the dogs accompanied us.
4. Rob was incredibly helpful about every little thing.
5. The kitchen was well appointed. There is a degree of confusion because of all the weddings that have been through there mixing things up. There were quite a few partially disassembled coffee makers, but we ended up with our coffee brewing. The kitchen was big, and we prepared many great meals.
6. The whole area was beautiful, with so many places to see and things to do.
I'd highly recommend this place. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer.

The Artisan Log Lodge is stunning, it was perfect for our wedding. Rob was available for any of our questions or need. The place was clean, quiet and equipped. We highly recommend it for family events.

The Artisan Lodge is a spectacular, beautiful and peaceful home nestled in a forest like setting. This log home was the perfect place for a family and friends celebration. With so many bedrooms/bathrooms and the amazing bar/party room, we were able to have a memorable gathering. Rob, the owner, was so accommodating, helpful and kind. We couldn’t have asked for a better location and we sincerely thank Rob for all his help and for allowing us to have our party at the lodge. I highly recommend this place and hope to stay there again.

The property is excellent as you really feel that you are away from the city. We hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner and everyone enjoyed the atmosphere.

Our family had a wonderful time during our reunion over the Canada Day long weekend. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and fully equipt with everything we needed. Rob was also a great host and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back! I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

We loved our stay here! For a girls weekend away it was perfect! The bar downstairs, pool table, amazing outdoor space, hot tub and the fire pit were so much fun. Would gladly stay here again, no complaints!

A great venue and the second time I'd been to the property for a weekend. Rob's a great host.

Recently had a weekend fishing trip in the mission area and stayed at Robs lodge, wow to say the least from when we showed up he gave us a quick run down of the place then we did not see him again until home day! Everyone had their phones out to take picture of this beautiful place from the grounds to the house itself! If you're looking for a peaceful getaway that is close to amenities but feels like you're in the bush then this is your spot. Will definitely be planning a return trip! Thanks Rob!!

This property is absolutely breathtaking; the pictures do not do it justice. The house is warm and inviting, and it is fully stocked with everything you need. Outside, you a row surrounded by a natural paradise. From the waterfall and pond, to the forest surrounding you, to the birds chirping in the trees, you will love the scenery! Rob was very accommodating and easy to work with when making the arrangements for our weekend. I strongly recommend this property.

Despite hosting an event on the property in January, the account is still not settled, and the owner is unresponsive and grossly overcharging for the duration of the stay, despite agreeing before hand to only charge us for the extra people on the nights they actually stayed (one). Definitely not worth the hassle.

A beautiful setting that feels away from the hustle and bustle but still conveniently close to the city. We enjoyed the campfire, hot tub, and all being together for our family reunion.

Ten of us stayed at this beautiful log home over a snowy February weekend to celebrate an upcoming wedding with extended family. Rob was welcoming and informative upon arrival, but the property is very private and we didn't see him after that unless we called him. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful park-like setting, the beautiful house, the comfortable indoor spaces and the hot tub big enough for at least 8! The master bedroom suite is large, beautifully appointed and very comfortable. With 7 bedrooms in all, it was easy for everyone to find a comfortable sleeping space. Several can work in the well-equipped kitchen at once. The large dining room table fit us all comfortably.
There are two things it would be helpful to know. First, the upstairs "sitting room" is not set up to seat more than about six people at once. Downstairs there is lots of space and many bar stools, but similarly, the sitting area isn't large enough to seat more than about 8, if you bring over the card table chairs. There would be plenty of space outside during the warm summer months, but during winter, large groups can only sit together in the dining room. However, our single biggest concern was the lack of internet access, which took us a little by surprise. There is cellular service, but no wired nor wireless internet. Rob was helpful and responsive trying to resolve our concerns, but it was an unexpected discovery. (Although that might be a bonus for people who really want to "get away from it all"!)

We stayed at the Mission Log Home from December 23rd to the 27th and had a fantastic time. For Chritmas eve there was 18 of us and there was plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing or gather as one group - even for meals. The cabin was equipped with all the necessities including the kitchen with plenty of dishes, glasses and cooking instruments. Rob gave us a full orientation so we felt comfortable and made himself available to help if anything came up. It snowed quite a bit during our stay turning the cabin grounds into a winter wonderland. The snow caused two brief power outages but the cabin is equipped with a generator and loads of candles so we hardly noticed. We'd definitely recommend the log cabin for any family (or extended family) looking to get away and enjoy the tranquility of the woods without being to far from amenities.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the Artisan Log Lodge with our large family get together - what a perfect ending to our hectic holiday. Rob’s beautiful log home is very spacious, well kept and has everything you could possibly need. We loved all the wood and craftsmanship and that setting … it was absolutely stunning! Rob met us and toured us through the home and was available nearby should we need him. We loved our stay at the Lodge and can’t wait to visit again soon- maybe next time in the summer!

My co-workers and I rented this place for a retreat and to host professional development sessions during the days we stayed there. The reason we chose this place was because it was close to Vancouver. I had friends staying in this place as well who recommended it to me. The cabin is good looking, but its not the best one I have rented. Here was the issues:
- we understand that having more than 10 person over would cost us $30, but it is unfair to charge for the whole stay if we have guests over the very last night. I had to negotiate with the owner to explain the unfairness
- relevant to the people being in the house, we caught some people taking picture of the place and our guests "randomly" during the day times. I think it is a bit unprofessional and made our crew uncomfortable as we felt like being watched, even though we did not sneak people in nor committed any illegal activity
- We were charged full amount for the cleaning fee, we cleaned the place as much as we possible and even the owner mentioned it. Yet we got nothing waved, not even a simple thank you
- The owner charged us an unfair amount for replacing the hot tub water because it got cloudy. nothing around "cloudiness" was mentioned to us. We followed the rule of not bringing any glass near that area, so that was unfair charge.
- on the check out day, we told the owner if it is okay to stay a bit longer since a crew was awaiting a ride. He said its okay. We were willing to pay the extra charge if it was mentioned, which wasn't. two hours into our waiting time, we got hungry and started BBQing the left over food. He came over yelling at us, using profanity at our faces. Very calmly we told him that we would pay any extra charge and we would love to tell our friends and other co-workers about the place. Here is the owner words:" I don't want your kind at my place". It is a bit rude since we had the place cleaned and we made absolutely no trouble for the whole 4 days staying there. After he heard he is getting more money, he calmed down, but we left like people being kicked out of somewhere.
I don't recommend this place to anyone but a very calm family or group of retired people. The owner is disrespectful toward young people and he has no problem expressing it.

Great place. Clean. Everything works and there's lots of it. Enough dishes, utensils, wine glasses, special beer mugs in freeezer, cloths, towels, plastic glasses for hottub. Great BBQ. Wood burning furnace keeps the temperature perfect, friendly dogs, playing pinpong and pool. Huge dining room table. Lots of room to find solitude if needed. I spent a good hour in the soaker tub in the master suite. Beautiful hike up the hill behind - incredible ferns, moss and trees - rich greens. Great place for family reunion, yoga retreat, guys, girls or couples weekend. Living in the Vancouver lower mainland, it was only 35 minute drive from home so we got to spend all the time having fun and hardly any driving. HIGHLY recommended.

We had such a great time at the log house, it had such a cozy feel although it's a very big place, there were10-12 adults (depending on the night) and four kids, including two babies and we found that there was more than enough room for everyone, if you needed space there was always somewhere to go. We loved it and hope that we can stay there again!

Rob helped with our accommodation for 20 guests, who many spent the full week with us in 2013. Absolutely fabulous time with meals and entertaining over four full days. Pictures do not do this spot justice, as the setting is right out of a book. Will recommend to all guests to visit this LOG MANSION in the future, and it will not be the last time we spend a week here. Thanks Rob Gwen & Doug Stickley

We found this place when we decided to bring a group to the Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival! Looked at pictures and read reviews. Fell in love with the place. We spoke with Rob (owner) a couple times and decided this was the place for our group. We are a bunch of bird watching, nature lovers. We used all the amenities. Hot tub, pool table, just to name a few! Incredibly beautiful property in the midst of the BC Rainforest. I would definitely recommend having a car as you are a bit out of the city. It was peaceful and enough space for everyone that you could hang out together or do your own thing. Everyone in the group loved the home and the property! Before we left, we had already booked for next year! Rob was fabulous in explaining anything we had to ask and very helpful!

First class. Rob was awesome and so was his home. See ya next year!!

Absolute joy to stay here! Wonderful location which feels like cabin life but offers the the city and many amenities within 15 mins. Thanks again Rob!!

We had 15 adults and 5 kids in our group and there were ample beds/space for all of us. the master suite was particularly beautiful and luxurious! we enjoyed the fish pond and recreational activities available such as ping pong, pool table, baseball gloves, etc.
The log home is situated in the midst of a forested area and so it was extremely quiet.
Thanks Rob for responding quickly when we found out we had run out of water!

What an absolutely wonderful place to hold our family reunion and memorial for Mom. Guests came from Quebec, Ontario, Alberta and of course BC. Everyone was amazed at the beautiful home and setting. The host was absolutely marvelous! I highly recommend the Artisan Log Lodge to anyone.

Six of us were joined by family in the area for our one week stay in the Fraser Valley.
The house was everything that the photos show. The cleanliness was bang on, and Rob the owner was extremely helpful during our stay. He started with a full detailed orientation of the house.
Our family enjoyed the badminton, pool, and games supplied. The pond full of koi were a fun adventure for the kids. We even spotted a black bear the first day there.
My favourite part was just chilling on the massive patio deck overlooking the pond, and the tranquility of the trees and landscaping. We lucked out with great weather which didn't hurt.
Our day trips included Cultus Lake, horseback riding at Mustang Ranch in Mission, a jetboat tour of the Fraser Valley, and Harrison Hot Springs.
We bbq'd every night and there were lots of utensils, plates, etc. for 12 of us.
Here a few recommendations for Robert:
you have to get wifi
you have to get two t.v. boxes so one can watch upstairs and another downstairs.
you need a couple more fans for the house
some portable lounge chairs would be a nice addition and perhaps a cooler as well.
We're planning on rebooking next summer as well so that kind of says it all.
highly recommended and good value too.
