Everything was wonderful. Great view. Big bath tub. Very deep. Need grab bars and bath mat inside tub. Took a little to figure out how to use hot plates. Need some instructions for TV for technologically challenged like us. Griill was great. Bed and towels first rate. Everything matched. Stephanie . was wonderful host. Had everything we needed in kitchen. Thank you.

Wonderful little house. Everything we needed for our stay. The view was great!

Great cabin! Quiet, beautiful view! Comfy bed! On the other side of the island from Friday Harbor, so plan your meals ahead of time. Restaurants are mostly in Friday Harbor, so bring your breakfast foods with you!

We had the most relaxing stay here and soaked up every bit of that beautiful view. The deck was perfect - I’d wake up early and read while just reveling in the ocean and mountains. The house was so cozy and all we needed - a great location and it was so easy to get to everything. Stephanie was an excellent host - so responsive and helpful. The house was perfectly clean and well stocked - and decorated so well too! We can’t wait to come back!

The house has a cabin like feel to it. It is very well equipped for cooking. In the quiet summer
evenings we ate outside on the porch feasting on the view of the Straight of Juan de Fuca watching the ships heading in and out of Vancouver Harbor.
Close to shopping in Friday Harbor and great hikes such as the breathtaking view from Young Hill near the English Camp.

Wonder! Whale watch

Everything was great, and exactly as described! The only drawback is the steep access road. Cell service is minimal except through Canadian roaming. The Internet works OK but is pretty slow. The big draw is the spectacular view of Haro Strait.

This property is the perfect place to get away and recharge. I loved the always changing views of the ocean and mountains. Every time you looked up the view was completely different. The location of this home was about 15 minutes from everything we wanted to do. We loved cooking breakfasts and dinners as they had everything you could possibly need to make a full meal. I was hesitant with them only having induction plates to cook on but man I feel like they worked better then our stove at home! I do have to throw in that my main reason for coming out to the islands was to see orcas in the wild and they did not disappoint. We went out on Western Prince Whale Watching and they took us over 50 miles and saw all 3 resident pods, a few humpbacks and a minke whale. It was a birthday wish come true :) Thank you again to Stephanie for the beautiful and relaxing trip. It was exactly what we needed! We can’t wait to come back and visit the San Juan Island again

Perfect, little getaway house with beautiful view of Haro Strait on quiet, west side of San Juan Island. We never tried of the changing view of clouds over the Olympic Mountains and Vancouver Island from the deck. Just up the road is Lime Kiln State Park with best spot to see orcas or other whales from shore. Lots of nice hikes on the island with our favorite being Mt. Finlayson/Jakle Lagoon and Young's Hill. Only minor downside was spotty WiFi access. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

The rental was so cozy, quiet and clean. It had everything we needed and the view was amazing. It was only a couple minutes from the lookouts that had amazing views. It was also only a couple minutes away from the state park. It was the best vacation I ever had!! I cried when I left! I wanted to stay! We will be back :)

My wife and I booked this home for our 13th anniversary together, and overall, it was a wonderful stay. The place was very clean and organized. It was also incredibly quiet and serene, so a good night of sleep was guaranteed. You also get spoiled with vibrant sunsets from the deck, and though it's further from Friday Harbor, you're two minutes away from whale watching at Lime Kiln Point.
My only complaint is the WIFI. The signal was spotty every day—any time of day—so it was a chore whenever we needed to book a reservation or check an email. With that said, we'd happily stay here again, as it was a tranquil base for us during this trip.

We absolutely loved our time here! Check in was easy, finding the property went well (used a combination of Google Maps and Maps.Me since places on the islands didn't have good service and needed GPS sometimes). The home was perfect for us, very comfortable, the views were spectacular. While we were staying there, we saw a raccoon, a fox and some other small animals in the yard. We watched a sunset from Westside Preserve our last night and saw orcas! Also visited nearby Lime Kiln Point State Park with the lighthouse, and enjoyed walking down the trail to Deadman Cove. Bakery San Juan was amazing for breakfast and Westcott Bay Shellfish served super fresh and tasty oysters! Highly recommend and would love to come back for another visit!

Property was just right for hisband and I. Beautiful place with everything we needed. Location was great, away from the busyness of Friday Harbor but close enough to get things we needed.
Not on the host at all, but we did think we would see more wildlife from land. After 2 days of trying we gave up and took a whale watch tour with Maya's. It was amazing, highly recommend them. We saw humpback, orcas, sea lions, seals, eagles and some other things on that trip. Also saw plenty of deer on the island and a fox (Cattle Point).
If you go to Lime Kiln stop at The Blowhole and talk to Paul and his pup Frankie. Great guy and we recommend the hot dog (get all the fixins). It's amazing!

The guest house was the perfect place for two of us. Spectacular views in a peaceful, relaxing setting. Not a full kitchen, but well-equipped to make a meal. Enjoyed hikes at lime kiln park, young hill, and Mt Finlayson. Don’t miss having a meal at Westcott oyster farm and baked goods at San Juan bakery. Even enjoyed playing the games provided — Catan and Yahtzee! We will definitely be back!

It was the perfect place for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary. Many cooking options, super clean, quiet and close to the town.

I came up by myself to the San Juans for a bit of quiet time between jobs and landed at this lovely property. The view is wonderful with a great view of the Sound and the Olympics in the background. Saw deer, heard bald eagles. House itself was just right for one or two people. Very warm and cozy. Kitchen doesn't have a full size range but the convention oven and induction hot plates work surprisingly well. Bed was very comfortable, hot water was plentiful. Internet was a little spotty and slow so I wouldn't plan on doing Zoom calls here but the TV had Dish and I could watch my hearts desire of Law & Order. Communication with Stephanie was great -- she's an excellent host! Hope to stay here again sometime.

The cottage was perfect. I would not change one thing about our entire stay (except adding another week). The cottage was spotless and Deb, the owner, had the fire going and music playing upon our arrival. Everything was spot on. We will be back for sure!

Perfect Getaway
My husband and I came here for our anniversary trip. We chose it for the size, modern updates, views and cost. It did not disappoint. The views are awesome. The king bed was really comfortable, everything was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. It is a perfect getaway for 1 or 2 people. We sat on the deck, read, and soaked in the January sunshine. Stephanie was quick to respond to our questions. I would highly recommend this house!

Much needed relaxation
The property was beautiful, relaxing, and very peaceful. The location was perfect. Great view of the water and away from any noise but just a 10 min drive from town. The house was very beautiful and self sufficient with everything you need for a relaxing stay. One thing to improve is better directions on how to get there exactly. I did not have an address, there was no name on the property/ driveway and the web site never showed how the front of the house looked so I couldn’t even try to recognize the house. The only land mark that was given was to “take a left at the barn”- the “barn” was more like a shed.
Seem like a minor point, but everything else was perfect.

Beautiful water view cottage
The cottage was exactly how it was advertised - charming, clean and a view, as they say, to die for. Very comfortable and serene. Loved the deck with a beautiful view of the water. Our host, Stephanie, was very attentive and responded to our request immediately. Otherwise, we were left to enjoy the peaceful setting. Stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed every minute.

Peaceful stay
After a busy summer with our kids, we enjoyed 4 nights here and it was just what we needed to rest and reset. The place is extremely clean with a well appointed kitchen which we appreciated as we like to cook. The deck was perfect for morning coffee, afternoon reading, and evening wine. Stephanie was a terrific hostess, very organized, and quick to answer questions.
We would stay here again in a second! Highly recommend.
