Outdoor seating with two tables and four chairs each, one by the pool and one at the end of the second floor catwalk. Six colorful chaise lounges, five by the pool and one on the catwalk. Four Adirondack chairs, three on the second floor rear deck overlooking the pool and one on the top floor rear walkway looking towards Jockey's Ridge and the hang gliders. Extensive hardwood flooring on second and third floors and all stairs. The public beach access is to the south at Small Street offering easy beach access and public parking. Beach access is 700 yards from home.

We made so many amazing memories but the home itself was dirty, dusty and with sand in the beds! This is not our first rental in OBX but by far the dirtiest! The floors were not washed and the fans caked with dust and cobwebs. I understand many families are in and out of these homes but is totally not acceptable to be that dirty when each family has in a cleaning charge. The kitchen pots were also not clean and counters sticky!

Towels/linens didn’t arrive until called in. Beds were supposed to be made upon arrival, were not.Trash & coffee cup with old cigars on deck. Wi-fi did not work. Washer on top floor didn’t have cold water, only hot. Beach access way too far away and falsely noted as close by.

The property is located in an area where you can walk to some restaurants. Beach access wasnt to bad as long as you are able to walk well. They do need to attend to some minor issues with appliances. Skillets stick terribley so you might want to bring 2 if you plan on cooking. But this was a minor thing that did not impact our stay in the least bit. The house is beautiful and we are already in the process of renting next year.

Pros: This was my first time renting a house in OBX, we were able to get in the house a bit early which was nice. The house was clean and tidy and had all the appliance we would need. The beach access wasn't too far of a drive. Ample driveway space, and trash cans.Cons: However, there was several issues with the house not being well maintained. 1. Description/photos of the pool and hot tube was a bit off in the way they made it look bigger than it was. 2. The Air Intake vent was absolutely disgusting full of dirt and cobwebs, 3. had to call Maintenace for a wobbly celling fan, door lock that was broken and the ground floor had a very bad smell to it. {Maintenace did come next day to fix 2 out of the 3 problems} nothing they could do with basement smell. 4. Outside grill was so dirty we opted not to use it ;( 5. Pool lights were nonfunctional, hot tube cover was broken, several broken screens. Volleyball court grass was not cut. All in all, the rental property was ok, and served its purpose. Not sure I would recommend this property to anyone. Hopefully they will fix and maintain this property better for future guest. Especially for the amount of money one is paying to rent it for a week.

Not at all what I expected. Broken furniture that was not replaced, limited to one set or bath towels for the week, pool lounge chairs stained and digesting, finding dirty wash clothes in pool area, grill was dirty discussing never used. The game room a total disappointment. Pool sticks were broken but couldn’t shoot a game of pool without caution of the windows. Looked bigger in pictures online but so did the place in general. Definitely NOT worth a$12,000.00 for six nights.

Our first trip to OBX was great, we will definitely be returning in the years to come. This house had everything you need for a large family. One call out is that the public beach access is NOT close even though you can see the beach from the house - you will want to get a golf cart or be prepared to drive to the beach, the closest access is about a half mile away. Overall the property was great and I would recommend it for a large family gathering!

Very nice trip. Can only complain about tiny ants in mug cupboard. Not bad enough to call realtor. Rooms made all happy. No easy access to beach. Love 2 fridges, 2 dishwasher, 2 laundry rooms. Would recommend. Loved hot tub and pool. Ice makers didn’t work at first but you have to switch on, Duh. Loved all those porches.

the house was great for our multi-generational family! the highlight is the pool area with grilling station, good sized pool and hot tub. Only issue is the distance from beach access but it'a a nice walk for those in shape and the beach access with parking is not far. Lots to see and do in the area and the beach is not too crowded. the balconies were a hit after a day on the beach or a kayak float. the owner responded quickly for the 1 item we called on (smoke detector beeping) and the staff at Beach Realty were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend for a large group.

While we enjoyed our vacation, we were slightly dissappointed with the house. There were several things that were broken... The refrigerator on the floor level didn't work and esmelled terrible. One of the dishwashers were broken and it hurt my aunt's foot when she tried to open it. We also couldn't use the gameroom because it was very musty, which was a problem for the guests who were sleeping on that level. While the size of the home and the view of the ocean were nice, there was no convenient beach access which is not well advertised. We will not be renting this property again.

Overall very nice week at the beach, however we experienced several concerns that we simply overlooked during our stay and figured we would report after the week was over. Things we did report AC top level broke the day we arrived (Very responsive on the fix) The Pool area umbrella broke the day we arrived (Simply rusted end of life) A significant ding in one of the bedroom walls ( I reported 1st day) Things I didn't report Ants (mainly Kitchen area) / Broke toilet part (We bought part and fixed) / Dryer on second floor doesn't heat well (run dry cycle twice on heavy duty to get closed to dry) / Noticed some blinds we broke (not a big deal to us just an observation) / Also had one of the folks in our group tell me they had a door handle come off in their hand on one of Bedroom door (not sure where didn't care after the list of things I had been exposed too) / Serious grass growth around pool area on concrete deck (we deweeded by hand some of this) / also noted the grass wasn't cut and kinda tall and the property next door was cut Identical building seemed to be same owner but not sure.Overall the home was nice just has some small issues that should be corrected to help future renters experience be a more positive stay. I am asked if I would recommend this property to a friend right now I'd say no only because it's a steep price to pay for the level of maintenance needed at this property.

The house was not clean upon arrival- our sheets were not delivered, I had to call and request them, playstation did not have any conrollers- we did not get them until wednesday- the pool sticks had no tips- we did not get them until wednesday. the property has a huge ant problem- we ended up buing out own ant spray for the pool area....which caused the ants to move to the kitchen of the home.- it needs a really good cleaning..cupboards inside and out are sticky and had food residue and under furniture was dirty and had lots of food particles.

It was a great time with friends in a great house. The issues we had were minor. The sand burs need to be dealt with. Everyone got them attached regardless of the area around the house they walked. The hot tub was fixed in a timely manor as well. The game room could use some updated pool sticks as well. Regardless of what other people do we befriended the family across the street and walked through their property to the beach. If you are an introvert, you have quite a walk to beach access.

We had a mini family reunion/vacation where family was going in from 6 different states. The house was prefect for our size family. The kitchen is a little small for the size of the house. It's only big enough for 2 people working/cooking. The kids really enjoyed the game room & pool, while the adults enjoyed the hot tub. There were not many walks on the beach due to the distance of the public access area and the age of the children.The pictures were exactly what the house looked like, with the exception of the porch swing, which was not there.We would rent from beachrealtync again, wonderful staff.

This was the 2nd time staying in this house. Love the house and the location. However, we were disappointed this time to find that the house was not cleaned very well. When we arrived, there was garbage on the upper deck, there were things left under the beds, one bed was broken, and there were ants all over the kitchen counters. The handyman did come quickly to fix the bed and pest control came for the any problem but it persisted throughout our stay.

we had called to have a few things taken care of that were concerns and was never followed up with. one complaint was that there were dirty boxers laying on the deck and the rental agent made it seem like it was our fault and asked if it was ours, there was about 2 inches of dust on the fans practically falling off we had to clean because the house was so hot at times we needed the fan on, the hot tub wasn't working properly the pool area was filthy, there was no power in the one bunk room the shower curtain liners were practically falling off. also there were ant traps in the kitchen and ants everywhere including our babies formula and food we had bought and were forced to throw away.

There was a live crab in our pool that we fished out and released on the beach, it was a fun experience but should have been caught by the pool person. Who was there after our arrival to take the hose out of the pool. The hot tub was low on water, filters had a lot of hair clung around them and chlorine holder was empty. 8 members out of our family ended up with uti’s and ear infections from the chemicals not maintained properly. Beds were full of sand, which meant not freshly put on prior to our arrival. Floors were clean but we found piles of dirt behind doors. Sinks and showers were clogged. Many light bulbs burned out in bathrooms. Most of the games are missing pieces, we organized them all to make sure. After 9 trips to OBX we are Just disappointed with our experience at this rental.

Beautiful, spacious home! Ocean view but a bit of a walk or short drive to access the beach. The only issue we had was with the cleanliness of the kitchen and dishes. Overall a great trip!

The location is amazing! However the house was not clean when we got there! There was a broken screen door in the downstairs there was no lights on top deck ( repair man confirmed that) we had to clean are property when we got there. We cleaned the house while we made all the family wait outside it looked like the only thing that was done was the beds where made. The top deck screen is coming out we fixed it many times but as soon as the wind blows it comes back out. I personally watched the cleaners clean a rental beside us they went in at noon at 12:23pm they left so how much are they really cleaning especially with the Covid going around. Other then the shape of the house we had an amazing vacation!

In general, we had a satisfying stay and the location was good. Our greatest disappointment was with the overall maintenance of the house, which in some areas seems to have been deferred. For example, the skirting around the hot tub was in poor condition and falling off in several areas. One of the two dishwashers was newly installed, but was not properly affixed to the inside cabinet. This resulted in the dishwasher tilting forward when opening the drawers with dishes in it (I contacted the real estate maintenance company and they came to check it. They said they would order the part and install it, but that had not happened prior to our departure.) The intake vent and filter for the air conditioner near the kitchen was filthy, and it appeared that the filter wasn't likely changed recently. One doorknob for a back door fell off in our hand. We managed to screw that back on ourselves. Overall, the house itself was reasonably clean when we arrived, however, we were met with ashtrays on the back deck area and the pool area that were filled with cigar buts and water, despite this being a non-smoking house. Access to the beach was a plus, as it was relatively simple to drive a block or two and park at the public access area and walk onto the beach. Comparatively, the house we rented from Beach Realty last year was much cleaner, and far better maintained, so this let to our reasonable level of disappointment with this year's rental. I would only recommend this property to a friend if I made them aware of the maintenance issues first.

Amazing vacation home for multiple families
Overall, the place was amazing! There’s a grumpy homeowner across the street who won’t tolerate any shenanigans. Steer clear of his property, his beach & his ocean!
The walk to the beach is represented accurately- it’s slightly less than 1/2 mile to the first public access, where there is no place to park. There are other accesses where you can park, though. If you’re hoping for a quick walk to the beach with a bunch of gear, this is not it.
About the house, overall it was terrific. There are a few things that could be improved upon to make it better, but nothing critical. Mainly:
*there are 2 dishwashers side by side - one doesn’t work, the other is so mildewey and gross, we didn’t want to use it.
*there is no garbage disposal. Kind of a pain when everyone is putting dishes in the sink and you have to keep fishing things out of the water.
*most of the entrance locks don’t work.
*most of the bedroom locks don’t work.
*the left front burner on the stove doesn’t work.
*there is a screen broken on a window at the entrance.
*some of the toilets continue to run
*two things the maintenance crew should probably be attending to regularly are, making sure the dryer lint traps are clear & the grease trap on the grill should be checked.
I only mention these things to make the owner aware, not to complain.
Wonderfully, every bedroom has its own bathroom. The living space is huge. Keep in mind that the main living space is on the third floor, so it’s a challenge for older folks with walkers.
The pool & hot tub were a huge hit. The grill was great. Tons of pans, utensils & dishes. No spices, so bring your own. Super comfy beds. A TV in every bedroom (not that we used them). Clean sheets & towels provided.

Took a long weekend to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday and this home was perfect. Well equipped, kitchen well stocked and organized, masters in all bedroooms, beautiful views, close to everything. Only gross thing was the green, slimy pool when we used the hot tub and grill was very off putting. Just put a cover on it! Would definitely rent this house again!!

We arrived to celebrate my husband's 50th and to get away over the Christmas holiday. The house was spacious, a little outdated, but overall a great experience.
Pros - each bedroom has a bathroom, king beds were very comfortable, 2 refrigerators, hardwood floors in most of the rooms, dog friendly, nice gas grill, and two coffee pots (Keurig and a drip coffee maker)..
Cons - not enough silverware for all the guests (had to keep washing forks) and ended up buying plasticware, had to walk a ways to get to the beach access,(my husband has meniscus surgery, which made it very difficult to walk in a knee brace), we would never stay here in the dead of the summer months, even though each bedroom had their own bathroom, some of the bathrooms were very small, volleyball court was just an overgrown sand and grass pit, outdated and saggy couch, and no beach chairs.
Overall, it was a great place to stay with the group we had. With that being said, would not rent this house in the summer months, as it would take too long to lug everything to the beach.

The walk to the beach is a bit far if you have young kids and lots of stuff to take to the beach. The place was a bit rundown. The tile in one of the bathrooms was broken and the shower/tub floor had a big white spot where they tried to repair it. It felt like you could fall through the shower floor. There were ants in the kitchen (we bought ant traps). It needs updating.
