About this villa rental
Please come and enjoy an ideal summer holiday at Villa Solaria at a fantastic price! We would like to welcome family groups or friends to apply where the majority of the group must be over 30 years of age.
PLEASE NOTE WE ONLY TAKE SATURDAY TO SATURDAY BOOKINGS!!
Villa Solaria is a fantastic place for families of all ages. Being located in the mountains and within walking distance to the beach, you have the best of both worlds! Imagine waking up every morning to the wonderful scenery.
Villa Solaria is set in large private grounds and only a seven-minute walk to a lovely beach. A three-minute drive in the other direction up the mountains and you will find Benalmadena Pueblo. What is not to love about this authentic Andalusian town, with a beautiful outlook over the mountains and to the sea. Walk to the White Church where you can take photos of glorious vistas. Visit La Perla, La Perlita, El Higueron for five-star quality food, La Taperia for traditional Tapas, and La Cupula Lounge or El Muro for the most amazing views!
A five-minute stroll takes you to the main road that runs along the coast. There, you can catch a bus going to Fuengirola in one direction, and to Puerto Marina and Torremolinos in the other. Bus fares are inexpensive.
If you enjoy yachts, great bars, and restaurants, or you just want to relax and people-watch, then Puerto Marina is the place for you. A walk along its promenade will take you to La Carihuela. Here, you will discover lots of lovely lively bars and beach restaurants. Where you can enjoy the great taste of Spain for a spot of lunch.
A two-three minute taxi ride from the villa takes you to Torremuelle train station. From there, it’s a short journey onwards to Fuengirola or Malaga City Centre. Malaga is a must-see - the harbour, sights, shops, bars, restaurants, and of course, the nightlife. If you are into seafood and fish, then you will love the fish market. Here, you can sit outside and have freshly cooked food with a delightfully cold beverage. El Pimpi is a famous restaurant set in an 18th-century mansion in the old town. There is so much to see, experience, and enjoy, whether it be in the winter or summer months. On the way to the restaurant, you can take in some of the beautiful sights of Malaga.
If, like me, you enjoy getting out and about, but don’t fancy travelling too far, you can still visit a different town every day or night.
Back at the villa, there is a large private swimming pool, completely enclosed and not overlooked by other properties. There are also outside entertaining areas where you will find a BBQ next to a lovely large, covered eating area where you can enjoy dining alfresco.
In the villa, you are greeted by two reception rooms, which is ideal when you need your own space. There are seven double bedrooms, six with ensuite bathrooms, a large brand new kitchen with an American fridge upon entry, with a further kitchenette close to the pool - very handy when your drinks need topping up. On the entrance level to the villa, there is a beautiful balcony, overlooking the pool and great views of the coast and mountains. A lovely place to chill and relax at any time of the day. By the pool, are two outdoor breakfast/dining areas, and another adjacent to the main kitchen.
There are two shower rooms with accessible facilities. The main bedroom on the ground floor has a fully accessible ensuite. The one on the lower ground floor is accessible to the swimming pool and garden. Whilst the ground floor is wheelchair friendly, assistance is required to access the lower ground level.
The villa is equipped with fast broadband, a landline to call local numbers, and a full tv package offering all the popular UK tv channels, films, and much more. Both the living room and the downstairs TVs also have Netflix login access. The villa is protected by a 24-hour security alarm, and in the case of an emergency, the security company will contact the emergency services on your behalf. There is also ample space for parking if you wished to hire a car. There is enough space for five cars!
There is a handover booklet with convenient contact numbers for myself and your meeter-and-greeter, Babs. As well as emergency numbers, the local taxi firm, home food delivery, take away services, and recommendations from ourselves and previous holidaymakers.
Now all you need to do is unpack, unwind and enjoy your stay!

This is undoubtedly a gorgeous Villa. Very well cared for and the owners were communicative and attentive right from the booking process and throughout our stay. As per all the other reviews, cleanliness was suburb and it was wonderful to have ample cooking equipment, utensils, plates, glasses etc. There is a cupboard full of beach towels (which was a god send!) Sometimes it really is the small things that make your stay!. We enjoyed the complimentary fizz on the first night and this was a really thoughtful touch. The pool area is fab and for little ones, having the lockable gate is a plus and the pool shower is great for getting in and out. Loads of sunbeds, separate eating areas, and space to eat all together ❤️. The kids loved finding the lizards on the patio and the ping pong table was used loads.
Location wise, its in the middle of everything. I would say that a car is needed, if only for
grocery shopping as there's no small supermarkets in easy, walkable distance. The beach and the pueblo are walkable but only if able and wouldnt recommend in the obvious heat we had in August.
All-in-all, we had a lovely stay in a beautiful villa and I honestly couldn’t fault the facilities and communication from the hosts.

Great hosts, Babbs went above and beyond before and during our holiday. The villa was just amazing. Close walk down to the front where you can walk either way. Benalmadena harbour is a 6 mile walk, but easily doable. Brilliant time was had by all.

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful villa. It really is like a small hotel! 7 double rooms all with en suites. Immaculately presented and so very clean. Wonderfully stocked with plenty of pots, pans, cutlery and plastic and glass glasses. Close to all amenities and not forgetting the fabulous swimming pool, which kept us cool from the heat of the sun. Plenty of sun beds for 14 people and very importantly - plenty of shade! Suits everyone!
Both the owner, Sara and Babs, the person who did the meet and greet were lovely and communicated effectively with us from the moment of booking. I would truly recommend this villa - we all had a wonderful stay and would love to return next year! Thank you Sara and Babs!

What a beautiful and well looked after villa this is. The hosts were amazing from start to finish with excellent communication. We stayed as a party of 12 family members aged 14 months to 73 years and all had a great time. The location is on a steep hill with some interesting roads but once you get used to them its fine. You can walk up ir down the hill to some fantastic restaurants. It is a steep climb but taxis are easy to book and cheap. The facilities in the villa are great and the pool is a really good size.

Villa Solaria is a great family holiday villa with lots of space for privacy too. It is well equipped and well maintained. We had age range from 73 to 4 and the villa was perfect except for the hill which meant cars were absolutely essential.

Great villa in the sun
Our group of 15 (9 adults, 6 kids) enjoyed a great week at Villa Solaria. It was perfect for a group our size, and very well maintained. Maria was easy to liaise with before our stay, and provided plenty of information. Out in Spain her rep Barbara efficiently dealt with the checkin / checkout process and kindly allowed us to leave our bags at the villa for a few extra hours on checkout day. It's worth noting that there are not many bars /restaurants immediately walkable from the villa, but a short (6 euro) taxi ride up the hill is the Pueblo, which is a lovely whitewashed town with plenty of choice. I'd happily be back there now!

Superb large and luxurious villa in a beautiful part of the world
I thoroughly recommend this villa for large families. My wife and I have just returned from a weeks stay along with our four grown up children and their partners together with elderly parents and young grandchildren (14 of us in total). The villa is luxurious, every bedroom is special and the communal areas are huge. The size of the pool exceeded our expectations and is protected with a safe fence so that young children are safe around it. We also loved the table tennis and outdoor barbecue. We met the owner Angelines as well as the local Manager - Barbara, they are both lovely and couldn’t do enough to help us. Their recommendation for El Muro restaurant for our last night was spot on! I would say that a car is essential for food shopping but that the local taxis are very good for evenings out. The whole holiday was a superb experience. Thank you Angelines.

Perfect Villa
We have just stayed at this fabulous villa as a family of 10 aged from 9 to 65. Plenty of space for us all to be together or have quiet time. The children all loved the pool, table tennis and basketball. Great location but would recommend a car. We would not hesitate to come back again.

Great family villa
We wanted to have a holiday with our family 7 adults and 4 children including a baby. This Villa was perfect, plenty of space and plenty of areas to sit or sunbathe. The Villa has lovely large kitchen with all the things you need to self cater. The bonus of having dishwashers and washing machines was great having messy kids with us. The pool is a really generous size and kept very clean, it was cleaned twice in our one week stay.

Ideal house for a family holiday
We were a large family group of 8 adults and 5 young children, but there was lots of room for all. The house and pool are lovely, and the house itself was very clean, well equipped and maintained. The immediate surroundings are quiet, being residential but not that interesting and the sea is about 15 minutes walk away. The local trains run nearby and the main coastal road is only 2 minutes drive away. There are numerous bars, restaurants and supermarkets within a short drive. The owner was a joy to deal with and there is very helpful lady who lives locally who is on hand to deal with any problems or questions.

Lovely holiday villa with space for your friends and family
Absolutely lovely villa. Just like we expected it. Very nice manager Barbara. All the people around the house.. The gartner.... Cleaner were very pleasant people. We were 15 people and there was enough space and terrasses for everyone. We loved it! Only minus perhaps was that The closest well stocked supermarket was a bit far away up in the Pueblo Village... A 10 minutes drive away up a steep Hill. Though the Village was absolutely gorgeous.

Fantastic villa for large family
Villa was spacious, well maintained, clean, perfect for an extended family of 15, including 10 adults and five children (two of which were babies).
Nothing was too much trouble for Angelines, everything requested was catered for without any trouble, would definitely recommend villa to friends and relatives

What a beautiful villa.........
From the moment we booked to the moment we left we have been looked after without any problems. Maria is very helpful and keeps intouch with all the information and details that you need, Barbara is amazing with the info and even got us in a little bit early on arrival day which made a huge difference. Her knowledge of the area is brilliant and the little tips of where to go makes a difference in a strange town. The villa was better that we could have dreamed with a big pool and loads of space even tho there were 14 of us, the two kitchens helped so we had a food fridge and a drinks fridge so there were always cold. The supermarket Mercado isn't too far away and the taxi is cheap so worth doing big shops as the smaller ones are more expensive. We used the bus to Benalmedena and Fuengirola which was really easy but I must say the hill you have to walk is steep and not pleasant during the very hot days so I would definetly use a taxi. Our favourite dinner was in the Pueblo at the top of the hill, you MUST see this place its beautiful a real treat on your doorstep. All in all we had a fab holiday in a fab villa with fab weather. See you again soon.....x

Villa Solaria - perfect accommodation!
Our family group of 7 adults and 4 children (aged 10 months to 9 years) arrived late in the evening. We were met by Babbs who showed us round and immediately made us welcome. Everything was ready for us and we were all very impressed with the villa - its space, furnishings and facilities.
The week flew by as we enjoyed the pool, table tennis, Benalmadena Pueblo, the beach and the harbour. The villa's design is excellent with plenty of room for communal living but also space to escape if necessary!
Babbs was extremely helpful and supportive throughout the week, but never intrusive. She even arranged our transport back to the airport. (Malagaminibus.com - excellent!)
This was a special holiday for our family and was thoroughly enjoyed by us all. We couldn't have chosen better accommodation. Thank you Angelina!

My family of 10 and I stayed in the villa for 1 week, wish we had booked 2 weeks. The villa exceeds expectations, it's absolutely beautiful. The views and the location are spot on.
All the family had the time of their life's and we are all very happy customers. Hopefully be returning next year for 2 weeks.
Thank you so much Angelina.

Fab Villa
We spent a week in this lovely villa with extended family ages ranging from 62 yrs to 21 months . The villa lived up to all the descriptions and photographs and was very clean and well cared for . The children loved the pool and used it every day even though it was only April and there are enough sunbeds for everyone .Small children will need arm bands as the pool is quite deep . The Pueblo up the hill is well worth a visit though it is a long walk when it is hot. Angelina answered any queries we had before our holiday promptly, and our contact in Spain was only a phone call away . Our deposit was returned soon after our return home . We would recommend this villa to friends and family and hope to return some time in the future .

Birthday Family Holiday
We spent a wonderful weeks holiday in the villa for my birthday. The villa had every amenity (and more), required to make it a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
It was very well equipped and extremely clean, tidy and well maintained.
We visited all the restaurants in the Pueblo Plaza Espania and found the food delightful and the service second to none.
I would recommend the villa to any large group or family wishing to have the space and comfort of a wonderful home from home.
The customer service was exceptional as we had to deal with the booking with two separate arrivals and nothing was too much trouble for the owner.
