Me and my family were very satisfied with our stay in Het Gecroonde Swaeet. The apartment is clean, big and nicely decorated with a lot of thought through details like fresh bouquet of flowers every day. Breakfast is delicious with a big choice of different foods. Location is good with a lot of beautiful places nearby and the neighbourhood is, as the entire town, very calm and quiet. The owners are very polite, friendly and prepared to help.

We spend a weekend there, the breakfast package was with great quality. We loved it. Also the owner shared with us their philosophy of donate the rest food to cherity that wad a great thought and initiation. We appreciated how thoughtful they are.
It was really good and highly recommend to a weekend Or extended wkend Stay.

The breakfast was exceptional. There was so much food, and I appreciated that they provided little lunch baggies so that we could make extra sandwiches to eat throughout the day. There was a lot of thought and care that went into the details and presentation of breakfast; you won't go hungry, that's for sure. We also loved the option of having two beds, even though we only utilized one. I loved the upstairs loft area (where we slept). The room and space was more than enough room for two people traveling for the weekend. The bathroom was also large, which I always appreciate. The view was great. Also, I enjoyed chatting with the hosts. They were super kind and knowledgeable and very clearly in love with what they do.
The shower could have drained better, but it eventually did. So not a massive complaint.

The hosts were very friendly and fulfilled our wishes e.g. for a vegetarian breakfast which was by the way fantastic! We were able to put our bicycles in front of the house. Although we locked the bicycles our host locked them again during night and opened the lock in the morning ;-)
Be aware that it is a historical old building so one is definitely hearing light footsteps etc.
The whole accomodation was clean and we slept like "babies" in the bed - it was wonderful!
We can definitely recommend this B&B!

Fantastic B&B in the heart of Middelburg. The owners but a lot of love and effort into the renovation of this charming old house.
The hosts are amazingly nice and very, very helpful.
Our room was spotlessly clean and we had very comfortable beds.
Breakfast was brought to the room and prepared freshly with lots of variety.
Thank you very much for the nice stay.

This place is a hidden gem in Middelburg..The Netherlands..The location in this historical old town , could not be more central!. It was an absolute treasure cove, to have stayed at this beautiful home, owned by the delightful couple Olger and Luana. Their passion, charm and hospitality were unmatched.... and the delicious, sumptuous breakfast every morning was the icing on the cake!( we won't share the contents so it doesn't spoil the surprise.. you have to experience it)
Olger's cheerful "good morning.. breakfast" was an energized start to our day, accompanied by Luana's joyful and personality, honestly, they made our experience in Middelburg, one that is going to draw us back sooner than later.. and many many more times. To speak more about the room, they were clean, cozy , comfortable, and spacious rooms, with an attic that our daughter loved...she could see "long john" from her window! It had all the amenities of a 5 star hotel and more...., including chocolates,, filter coffee, fruits and fresh flowers replenished every 3 days.... what more can you ask for... We are continuous travelers and It was indeed an awesome abode, that we would recommend over and over again to anyone who would like a tranquil home away from home,...one that we will treasure in our hearts.... . thank you, dear Olger and Luana, we will be back soon! We wish you all the best, and know your genuine care for your guests will reap its rewards!
That we have to leave this idyllic place so soon... even though we were there for 5 nights.. it was not enough.. we would have stayed longer if there were rooms available.

The owners Olger and Luana are extremely friendly and take care of their guests needs. Every room has its own beautiful style and cleaned up every day.
The breakfast is rich and prepared with love.
The apartment is well located in the city center of Middelburg, all is in walking distance.
We definitely come back.

The perfect location for anybody visiting downtown Middelburg: In the heart of the old town, next to the main museum, and a mere 5 minute walk from University College Roosevelt. There is limited paid public parking in the street (we could find parking both days of our stay). The rooms in this historic building are restored beautifully with all modern comforts and amenities. The breakfast, served in the room, is delicious with freshly baked breads, eggs, fresh fruit and much more. But the best aspect is surely the hosts. Olger en Luana bend over backwards to make you feel at home. They clearly love running their beautiful guest house and it shows ! Highly recommended (from somebody who has been in many hotels all over the world!)
The one downside would be that people with difficulty walking may not be able to enjoy this place since there is no elevator in this historic house and the stairs are steep.

We enjoyed our stay. The location of the apartment was great. It was clean and the breakfast was very extensive.
It was noisy. You hear your neighbors talking and we were with four of us. We felt oncomfortabel having nice talks at night time after receiving complains. Whispering is not very realistic when you stay with friends.

The staff was very helpfull and very friendly. Amazing breakfast. Very good location.
We had to get out of the room to go to the toilet (even if it is not shared), which is a bit awkward if you have to go in the middle of the night...

If you are a smoker like me Unfortunately the property doesn’t have a balcony or easy access but instead a very nice view on a small back garden
