Really appreciated the daily shuttle service to the ski slopes - pick up and drop off! Very much needed!
Location is not fantastic as it is away from the city center so not as convenient without car.

Amazing service. Loved the tea service and breakfast. Super helpful with transportation.

Fabulous hosts, location, rooms and breakfast. We can’t say enough good things about the hotel Budoya!
Nothing.

What a great stay we had, such a charming place and the owners go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of the whole time including free drinks, lifts to the mountains every day and delicious food. Highly recommend as a great boutique place to stay.
The only slight thing that made the stay just off perfect was the second story level where 2 beds were had a bit of a scary staircase that had no rails and we a little nervous with our 7 year old up there, so we just brought the mattress downstairs. Older kids and adults no problems / just tough with little ones.

Property was a delight. The staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful. We were picked up from the station, welcomed by a large sushi platter and then we could organise ski hire at the hotel. The room was very spacious and warm. The billiards and fire place were super cosy every night and the snacks made the trip easy. Also location is very close to Cherry pub and Echoland, so walking to dinner made the trip extra convenient. The breakfast in the morning and then being taken to the ski fields. Tatami, our host, was so generous with his time and kindness. We are a family of five.
Nothing really. The bathroom was very small but that just meant more space in the room.

Husband and wife couple that will treat you like family right from the start. Great location.

My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights.
Staying here was the highlight of our 3 week holiday to Japan. We will never forget the hospitality, kindness and generosity that Takumi and his wife and daughter, Katsura and Aoi, showed to us. They went above and beyond to make our stay here very memorable.
We were made to feel like part of the family from the moment we arrived, and they shared their time and lives with us; and when they had a free moment, they would share a chat and drink with us in their dining room.
Our accommodation was wonderful…very clean, spacious, and the beds were so comfortable!
Whenever we needed to contact Takumi about anything, he would always respond within 5 minutes or less. He would drive us anywhere we needed to go, and picked us up when needed.
They have an extensive range of ski and snowboard equipment for all skill levels, as well as clothing for hire on the premises, and even offers a significant discount for guests of the hotel.
We loved staying here and highly recommend it!
Thank you for hosting us Takumi!!

Authentic Japanese Hotel with great proximity to everything. The Husband and Wife hosts couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating from beautiful cooked breakfasts in the morning and being dropped off at whatever ski field I wanted to go each day. Also had an open fire place to sit by and sip complimentary whisky after a day’s skiing.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and will definitely be back….
nothing… Perfect

the hosts are very friendly and detail-minded. first, we rented snowboard gear in the hotel, they checked and cleaned the gear every day. also, they welcomed us with sushi, sake as well as farewelled us with whisky and postcard. they also cooked me lunch during my rest day. they provided pick up and drop off service from 0800hrs to 2000hrs.
no toilet lid cover, but that’s common in Japan.

The staff were amazing - they went out of their way to make our trip memorable. I felt like a guest in their home. The lifts to and from the ski hill and bus station at weird hours was highly appreciated.

A very memorable stay at Hotel Bedoya; one we will forever look fondly upon. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Hakuba. The hotel itself (more of a bed and breakfast) is full of charm with very bright comfortable rooms, soft comfortable bedding and plenty of space. The hotel is located on a quiet street within blocks of Echoland, an area full of bars and restaurants, and very close to the ski areas (5-10 min drive) that is easy to walk when not in ski boots.
The most exceptional part, however, are the host/owners of this BnB. Takumi drove us wherever we needed to go, helped us sort through baggage shipments and buses and was just ready to help throughput our visit. Also, upon our arrival, Takumi and his wife served us the most delicious deserts we've had on our entire trip. They also went above and beyond by hosting us free of charge with a sushi dinner, truly extraordinary.
Breakfasts also were wonderful. Different hot dishes everyday with lots of variety and fresh ingredients.
Thank you Hotel Budoya for making our stay truly memorable.
Only thing to beware of are very small bathrooms. Everything else, however, makes up for this.

Exceptional services. The owner messaged me two days before I arrived offering free pickup from Hakuba train station, although I went there by car, it was such a warm and welcoming offer. Lovely breakfast on all 3 days of our stay, and different style everyday. The owner even organised a sushi party for dinner on our second night for all the guests which was incredible...our room is spacious and clean, the owner also offers free shuttle to and from nearby ski resorts. If you come to Hakuba for skiing I'd highly recommend Budoya.
Nothing.

This charming hotel was everything and more. Maruta San was beyond helpful. Picking us up on our arrival and dropping us off to the slopes. It’s location is close to everything from the ski resorts to restaurants. It is homely and you are made to feel right at home. It is also very spacious. You can also rent your snowboarding / ski wear and gear directly at the hotel. His wife also treated us to tea and cakes. If you can, please stay here.

clean, staff very friendly, good breakfast, ski rental in hotel
not on slopes, but a shuttle is available and in 5 minutes you are there, so this is not really a problem.

A cosy and beautiful Victorian style house in Hakuba.
The owners, a Japanese couple are very kind and we felt very well welcome: as the temperatures were still fresh, the fireplace was lit on in the living room and we were offered tea and delicious fresh French pastries - what a treat!
Our family room was very nice and comfortable, and we all slept so well!
We wish we can go back during another season (summer and/or winter).
Location is very good too as it is in the heart of Echoland near many facilities.

Great location
It's very well located, close to a lot of restaurants and coffee shop, all walking distance.
Also you are very close for sky stations (around 10 min by car)
Great staff, the owners are very kind person and they want to help you and take care about you.
They will drive you to the ski station
And also you can rent with them all equipments and clothes for skying or snowing and get a discount.
You will receive and delicious 'welcome tea' with delicious sweets
I really recommend it!

This was an amazing stay. Takumi and his lovely wife were the most hospitable couple I met in Japan. They drove us to ski feilds, cooked amazing food and made excellent coversation. We were welcomed to the property with tea and cake whilst they helped us with our lugguage. The hosts made our 10 days in Hakuba an excellent holiday, I can't wait to go back to visit again.
I found the shower pressure in one of our room a little bit weak at times, most the time it was fine. It wasn't enough of an issue to bring up whilst staying there. Otherwise everthing else was excellent.
