The host was friendly.
A busy noisy road outside. Bedding was worn out sheets and a very heavy and hot fur throw. Towels small and threadbare. No internet, only cash payment.

Poor
An extra pillow would have been good

The location
Cash only and no reception : so it’s up to you to find an ATM and shops to get the exact change and leave it in the room. Unbelievable in 2023. The hotel description states « no credit cards » but it doesn’t say that debit cards aren’t accepted either.
The pictures of the room are misleading : no fireplace in the superior room.
Overall the room is old and worn out : shabby rug and wallpapers, tilted bed, thin pillows,…

Location was good. All was ok just basic .car park very close we got the last space think we paid 12euros
Room was very dark. Our 2nd room wasn’t ready till 6 pm which was a bit late when check out is 10am . Thought that was a little cheeky we had to sit in one room for 45 minutes whilst it was cleaned .
Had to pay cash on arrival which we didn’t like .

Great Location
The room was not as depicted on the picture, being considerably smaller, (by around a third). The floor covering, a kind of hessian carpet, which I am sure must be incredibly difficult to keep clean, looked tired and worn. Disturbingly both my wife and I noticed small insect bites around our ankles, not noticed before we arrived and disappeared soon after we left. I am not sure where we received these bites so would not like to speculate. Guests should be aware that while the public car park is extremely conveniently located, it's also usually full, so rather difficult to get on.

Extremely friendly staff and a perfect location a street back from the harbour within easy walking distance of everything. There is a free car park about 10 mins walk away around the corner from the harbour. Wine bar Chez DD on the same street as the hotel is also fantastic and very reasonably priced.
Couldn't fault this hotel.

The hotel owner was very friendly. The location was perfect, just within a few minutes walk from the bus stop.

Great location and a very authentic rustic room
The drawback with ground floor room was that the windows open straight onto the pavement and couldn’t be left on any vent setting and it was really hot at the time. No air conditioning unit either. Room was overheated as a result

Great location. Close to the highlights of Honfleur but just a little far enough away to get away from the busy centre.
Very friendly host, who was extremely welcoming and informative.
WiFi service was a little intermittent

The room was nice, quite clean but not the one we booked.
We booked the room via Booking for 96€ for a room with a chimney. I was contacted by the owner about the arrival time. Upon arrival, the owner was late and didn’t reply to my text until I called them. When he arrived, he asked to see my booking confirmation, he noticed that the price was not matching his price which was 96,50€. After showing us around, he insisted on the 0,50€ extra that we should paid and we were asked to leave it when leaving the room the next day. Payment added to be cash without being told before arrival.
On top of that, we didn’t have the room we booked.

A really cool place to stay. The owners have done a graceful renovation of a building that has lived for centuries, by adding only what is needed. We parked right across for 10€/24hrs, helped by our welcoming host. Honfleur is so quiet in October, that the first car that you hear in the little road below, will be more of a late wakeup call, instead of a nuisance. Everything that matters is just a short walk away, including your breakfast of choice. We couldn't have chosen better!
Rien :-)

We stayed 2 nights with our dog. The room was nice with a big comfortable bed. We ate at the restaurant both evenings and the food was delicious and the service excellent. Would love to go back.

Great location, easy walking access for the town . Comfortable room. Met by very friendly, helpful host.
No problem for us, but if staying in an upstairs room note the stairs are very steep.

nice place to stay. Nicely renovated. Do not judge by the entrance. The hotel starts few meters into the gate.
Very pleasant staf.
It could be closer to the port and the center where all the restaurants are.

The room was big and very pretty! The shower was super big!
ATTENTION! you have to pay in cash! It’s written on Booking but I’ve just never though about controlling that, so I didn’t realize until we got there. It could be a problem if you are traveling form another country so be aware of this!

The host is very friendly and understanding. He was servicing our room everyday, which is rare in hotels nowadays.
The location of the hotel is perfect. It is conveniently located beside all the good restaurants and city attractions.
The room has a very romantic setting and perfect for couples.
All in all, I recommend this hotel to all the couples who are looking for a nice hotel at Honfleur.

The WiFi wasn't always great

A good location not far away from the city activities, nicely decorated rooms
A bit smelly in the room due to humidity, not all very clean, some furniture did have rust on it probably due to the same humidity.
2.5 / 5.0
The furniture were nice. The building is very close to the city centre. The room and the street are very quiet
There is no possibility to have a breakfast than to prepare a coffee made with kettle and to eat nothing else than a small cake (muffin) available in any supermarket. The room nr.1 is humid (a dehumidifier is installed in the room) and there was smell of mold. You can only pay by cash

Extremely friendly owners. Charming rustic room. Super Italian shower.
Central location.
