I absolutely cannot believe my husband and I had such a great experience. The property is an easy drive to the aqueducts and castles and beautiful towns in the area but the access to the massive grounds was a great treat. One day we didn’t go anywhere just walked the estate and gardens. Google did take us to a nearby industrial park so best to put in actual address or follow hosts direction. The gate may be closed and say private property but just pull up slowly. It is a longer drive through gorgeous fields.
Water pressure pretty low

Absolutely stinting.
We came for a music festival based in Wrexham and didn’t drive. So, the walk back and forth took a little getting used to but definitely doable.

I loved everything- the feeling of calm - the history - the comfort - the grounds.
That we had to leave

A high-spec apartment attached to an 18th Century Welsh manor house. It was quiet, peaceful, had stunning views and had pleasant walks around the vast property. There was a brilliant games room and a delightful fully restored Victorian kitchen.
As a couple who were there for a relaxing time to celebrate our 40th Wedding anniversary, there was no faults whatsoever. The only negative was having to leave after 4 days. So next time, we need to stay longer!

The location was fantastic for getting around North Wales. Lovely comfortable flat, everything you could possibly need and secure parking.
Lovely grounds to walk in and explore.
The 'old' kitchen was amazing to see. So much history. The estate staff that I met during my stay were all lovely and extremely helpful.
Nothing, all good.

The flat itself - well-equipped; plenty of space; proper home-from-home feel. The location was ideal for us. All arrangements/details were helpful, thorough and clear, both leading up to, and during, our stay.
Nothing that we can think of.

Amazing historic self catering accommodation flat within a beautiful country estate. Setting was incredible, with highland cows grazing free in open parkland and serene trails to wander. Apartment was excellent and full of lovely touches like a gifted bottle of wine and logs for lighting a fire. A brilliant find, highly highly recommended.

The property was a home from home plus more. It was lovely, clean and very comfy with all the amenities needed. Plenty of hot water and the bed was sooo comfy.
The place was very relaxing and quiet with plenty of grounds to walk and explore. Also close to places like Chester and Liverpool for days out.

Wonderful location with beautiful views.
House is grand and historic.
Flat is genuinely a well equipped self catering property.
Charming, full of period features.
A real fireplace.
Hamper for picnics.
Piping hot water in the shower and lovely soft towels.
Wonderful walks around the property.
Palmer family went out of their way to fix a problem booking.com caused.
In short we would definitely return in the future.
Booking.com.
In the past we’ve used booking.com and never had a problem, but this time they really dropped the ball. If I was to give you any advice it would be to book direct with Sykes cottages, as booking.com omit the welcome pack which tells you vital information such as where the keys are, and how to use the oven, the second point here very nearly ruined our stay. If it hadn’t been for the Palmer family it would have been a disaster.
On the subject of the oven, it’s slightly counterintuitive but make sure you dial lots of time into the timer otherwise it simply won’t come on. Once it did it was a good oven that did a good job of our roast dinner.
My only real criticism if I’m nit-picking, and this may just have been us; the mattress was very ‘springy’ and every time either of us turned in bed we woke the other up.

The place was just brilliant, everything we wanted. Quiet yet near enough to everything, lovely walks and the property had everything you would need
Being ultra critical the shower wasnt great, but the bath made up for it. The snooker table need a bit of TLC but as I say no real problems at all
