Amazing to spend a night in an underground room. The kitchen was spotless and the facilities very clean.

Cool underground room with all required amenities for a comfortable stay. Impressively fast wifi.

That it had 2 rooms so we didn’t have to stay in the same room with our kids. It also had air con, which was great as it was quite hot, even though it was built underground. It had a small kitchenette which is great, as eating out wasn’t an option when we were there.
No doors on the bedrooms. So privacy was thin. That said they are comfortable but small rooms and I’m not sure you could hang a door.

- the host was a great source of information about Coober Pedy and also our onwards journey
- room was well equipped, and having access to a kitchen was nice
- fun sleeping underground
- parking was a little bit tight (but understandable given the location)

Felt safe and secure , clean, great location.
Perhaps private tea making facilities in room.
3.5 / 5.0
Underground room that's cool and a must to experience.
Nice and quiet
So mosquito's in the room but I had my bug zapper to deal with them. It stormed and some water was dripping down the roof vents but this is unavoidable

The room was super cute, loved the aesthetic of it being underground and the style of hotel made me feel like I was in another country.
The room was quite spacious, beds were pretty comfy and the fan was great as there was no air-conditioning.
Friendly staff. Perfect outside area to watch sunset, cute little table and chairs and a swinging chair was a great touch.
There were quite large steps leading up into the room, which made getting luggage in a little difficult and made it hard for someone with not so great mobility. There was a communial fridge in the kitchen area but not one in the room which I would prefer. The towels were really rough.

clean, comfy, a bit warm, cause the temperature is 39 and above.

The motel was nicely presented.
The operator asked me to move our car from under the shaded parking as it was for other guests. Fair enough until he got clever and asked why. I said I like to park in the shade. He asked if I also liked to drive in the shade. Perhaps not quite clever enough to be clever in his remarks. Asking me to park out in the sun was enough. No more required.

The location, facilities and presentation were wonderful. Everything was clean and welcoming.
The bed was too soft and my husband and I both had sore backs overnight.

The hosts are very nice and knowledgeable about the area, and make you feel welcome. It is a small motel, with around 10 rooms, a shared kitchen, and outside space. Everything you may need for a night (or more). Loved our night underground, which is a once in a lifetime experience.
It is a bit further away from the center, which makes it a safer and quieter space.
The only thing, as it's underground, the corridor that deserves most of the rooms can get quite noisy if people are not mindful. We had noise from 5.30am as people were leaving early.

Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful.
The room walls were sealed, so that the dust I remember from previous visits to Coober Pedy was nowhere to be seen in our room.
Was able to drop off our van early in the day, before check-in time.

Cozy room inside the cave. There’s a kitchen to share with the other guests. Good location in Coober Pedy.
The shower wasn’t very good.

Would have liked a little fridge in our room

That the accommodation was underground
Room described as Double with Futon.
On arrival found it was a trundle bed literally at floor level, uncomfortable and hard to get down on and up again .
Couldn't even reach the Microwave as above head height

We stayed in the Family Room and it was nice and cozy. Although bathroom could do with a little bit more with space we understand the constraints building up a dugout motel. We utilised the shared kitchen which was well equipped with all the utensils and cooking necessities. Overall, it was a pleasant stay in the Underground Motel.

Also a few days later the place is still great. On our return drive from Uluru we stayed again, just because it's a really good place to stay. Great view, great people great rooms.

Good Wfi
The bed jammed up against the wall and unable to reach the fan and lights without getting out of bed .

The room was comfortable despite the warm weather, the staff were very helpful especially as I was delayed for my check in. Erin helped me sort my problem.
The fan in my room (7) seemed to be faulty and didn't go very fast.

quirky location being underground
no aircon, so got hot when trying to sleep at night
5.0 / 5.0
everything in Coober Pedy is underground but this was underground and a little bit quirky - not a huge hotel so only a few people around, and liked that it was slightly out of town and with a nice view over town for sunset. The room was SPOTLESS !!

Clean, tidy, comfortable, spacious, & cool motel room.
Nothing really.
