Lovely house, beautifully decorated with amazing views of Lake Norman. The family enjoyed the "toys" inside and out. We used the kayaks daily along with the corn hole boards, pinball machines, air hockey, etc. Fished off the spacious dock. The beach area provided just enough sand for the little ones to play with their toys. We rented a pontoon which was super fun too.
The description of the house should be corrected. It is listed as "4 bathrooms - Shower only". There are actually bathtubs in the 2 lower level bathrooms. We almost didn't book this house because we thought there were no bathtubs. With 4 small children, having a house with tubs was mandatory for us. Fortunately we noticed in the pictures that there were bathtubs in the house.
The "cons" should also be mentioned. There is an electrical wiring issue that needs to be corrected. The 3 lower level bedrooms have ceiling fans/lights with crossed wires. Flipping a switch in one bedroom turned on the fan (or light) in another bedroom. This was quite frustrating for the family members staying in those bedrooms.
The other "con" was with the tankless water heater. On several occasions, a family member would be taking a shower when, suddenly, the water turned ice cold.
Overall, my family would recommend this lovely vacation house especially when these issues are corrected.

WOW! This property exceeded our expectations! Thanks for sharing! There were no surprises and the listing actually didn't do it justice. The location was perfect for us to play in the lake, use the rented boat (That process was smooth as well) and enjoy the home inside and out! We loved the games downstairs, thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit and had everything we needed!
Note: The home provided smores supplies but no sticks for roasting marshmallows _ That would have been helpful! There needs to be a trash container downstairs in the rec room. The downstairs king bed on the side of the house that is opposite of the arcade - celing fan is controlled by the next door bedroom light switch. That was not discovered until the last day after we were sleeping without a fan :( Those are my only suggestions! LOVED Every second there!!!! Thanks again!

My family and I had a wonderful time at barefoot Cove! Beautiful location, beautiful views! Such a family friendly house! Can’t wait to go back!

This is the 2nd time we stayed at this lakefront property - also stayed here 2 years ago. We love the 4 separate bedroom areas to give adults some private time. Also, great location on the Lake. The grille was dirty and we didn't use it, and there was a strong storm on Saturday 10/21/23 that knocked over the grille. We set it upright, but not sure if there are loose parts laying in wrong places. overall a great week!

Nicer than I expected, 3 bedrooms up and 3 bedrooms down, with the bedrooms on opposite sides of home on each level so feels private even with a full house. Big adequately stocked kitchen and nice living room with entry to a screened in porch that is comfy with a great view. The downstairs game room is big also with a pool table, pac man game, and sectional with a big TV. The dock is lovely with a nice sitting area. We fished off the dock and used the kayaks. Would like to return sometime again and also rent the pontoon boat that is parked at the dock. The driveway has plenty of parking for vehicles and the location is great with stores nearby.

Spacious, comfortable home on a quiet cove with quick access to main channel of Lake Norman. Our four couples, gathered for a family reunion, enjoyed the four king / queen BR’s with private bathrooms. Screened porch was great for morning coffee and conversations. Kitchen was functional and well-stocked with cooking utensils. Large screen tv’s upstairs and down; watched a Sunday night NFL game without disturbing the card players upstairs. Rented the tri-hull pontoon boat with 150 Hp motor for the full week—it ran great. We received a prompt response from the nearby marina management team when we inadvertently left a power switch on overnight, and drained the battery. Maintenance arrived within minutes to jump start the battery and get us back on the water. Plenty of paved parking out front for our three vehicles.

Beautiful, spacious house! Nice private cove. Close to groceries stores and lakefront restaurants - Toucans and Apps and Taps.

We were thrilled with this house! So close off of the highway and to grocery stores, restaurants, gas, and more! But with all that nearby the house is nestled on a quiet and peaceful back road. The kids loved the downstairs and swimming off of our own private dock! The kitchen was stocked with more than enough silverware, plates and cups. Plenty of cabinet space too. A little scant on cookie sheets/ baking pans, though. The beds and couches were comfortable and plenty of seating for our party of 15! However, we had some slight issues working the keypad to lock and unlock the door. Other than that, no other complaints about the house. Would highly recommend this house!

spacious and perfect for the week!
The best feature of the home was enough space for everyone to be together but still have your own space too. The kitchen was well equipped, the home was clean and updated and the deck/sunroom boasted sunsets like the Caribbean. We immediately rebooked for next year!

We enjoyed our stay with a total of 5 couples in this house and our friend’s family home next door hosting another 4 couples from coastal NC. The location was fabulous and the common spaces worked very well for a group brunch, games of bridge, coffee time on the screened on porch, cocktail hour, games of pool, etc. We also loved the ease of check in and spot on communication with the property management company - they were just a text away if we needed anything. The house was clean and the bedding was very cozy too. It was a wonderful trip.

Great location, house, and water for the young kids to ski & tube. I will rent one more time with hopes of some improvements as the owner needs to reinvest in their property, if not the value will go down.
A floor plan to help understand the rooms lay out would be great. Drew, property manager, was a BIG helped with a lot of questions before arriving.
Found screen porch had not been sweep as leaves were on the porch. Was sad to note the screen had not been repaired as we looked at the house 1st of May and was told it would be repaired. Beside the house there are old floats that need to be put in the trash. Yard clean-up would be good. Screen porch you need to sunshade for sun set as it is so bright & hot during this time of day you cannot enjoy the view.
This house is for 14 people, but the kitchen does not have the needed cooking equipment (pot & pans) for that size group. There is not a flat griddle for pancakes.
Great location and great lay out of the house. If you enjoy the water, this is the right location with good waterfront, boat ramp only 1.4 miles away.

House was amazing with plenty of room for all 11 of us! Views of lake from main floor was breathtaking. Location was close to grocery stores and restaurants. Will definitely stay here again!

Waterfront relaxation and gorgeous sunsets!! This is a great place for families. The beds were so comfortable and bedrooms had separate wings on both sides of house to provide more privacy. The cove was shallow which we liked for the little ones swimming, and it was a very private. House also had inflatable swimming pad that the kids used all day, everyday. We used the kayaks provided and would fish in the evenings. We took daily walks around the neighborhood and everyone was so friendly and would say hello. Highly recommend Apps&Taps restaurant, 3 minute drive away from house!

Our family of 4 siblings plus spouses try to meet somewhere in the Eastern USA every six months and this area is a good central location for our traveling. The house met our needs of 4 private bedrooms with 4 private baths. The location was easy access to grocery, restaurants, etc. Enjoyed watching the sunsets over Lake Norman. House met our needs.
4.7
It's a great property, with spacious bedrooms, kitchen, family/entertainment areas and a large dining tables. There is a convenient washer and dryer and nice corn hole set, kayaks and some life vest. You have access to your own private dock and swimming area in a little cove off the lake. Nearby restaurants and grocery store!
But it really needs more attention to details, like dirty baseboards and walls with old spill stains, cabinet doors in the kitchen and bathrooms that were not hung right or don't close correctly, the dishwasher soap dispenser is broken, dirty shower liners, lower level game room(?) door that doesn't close, brand new outside screen door that was not hung properly so it doesn't open completely, basement screen door falling off, weeds growing out of the gutters and mulch beds.
Foot mats would be a great addition at every door with all the traffic in and out.
Anyway you get the point. It needs some TLC and it will be a PERFECT vacation house for a group.
In spite of all the small details we still had a good time and Drew was very informative and quick to respond to all questions/concerns!

Perfect Family Getaway
Everything about this property and location was perfect for our family. Plenty of rooms spread out for everyone to have their own space, 2 dining tables and an island for ample seating at meals, arcade game, pool table and poker. This house gets an A+ for cleanliness. Spacious screened in porch overlooking the water and a great dock located in a small area that is immediately off of a big part of the lake. Best of both worlds...quiet and secluded while still being able to see the open water. Area by the dock was perfect for kayaks, paddle board, fishing and swimming.

Spacious waterfront home
We had a great stay on the lake. This home has plenty of space and entertaining for kids and adults. Fast response from Southern Charms when you need to contact them regarding the home. The only thing we wish we had more of was towels. Make sure you bring extra.

Perfect place for multiple families with various ages
We had three families with varying ages and this house accommodated all of our needs. There was never a dull moment and everyone enjoyed the kayaks.
We will definitely be going back.

The house is on a nice property and the lake area is great! Our kids were able to swim quite a bit by the dock and there were no other boats going by, since the property is the last one at the end, which is really great. The outside area has never been properly cleaned and we found a lot of beers cans all around the yard and things were just strewn about by the house. The furniture on the porch is AWFUL and it makes the screened-in porch not usable. They need to update the furniture and put comfortable seating that people would actually use. Plus the screened-in porch has holes and the screens are coming off so the bugs come in - kind of pointless to have a porch you can't use. Inside, the bathrooms are OK but the master bathroom shower is falling apart and its rotted by the sides. There are no basic things in the house like extra blankets, hair dryers, etc. There are only winter blankets on each bed, which is not ideal when its 95 outside in the summer. There are so many great VRBO's that really take pride in their property and for this price, I would recommend spending that type of money somewhere else. Finally, I think the biggest sticking point is the property rental company that manages this property - you have to sign a lease with them which is really ridiculous since you can rent from AirBNB or VRBO or any other company and you don't have to do this - plus they want your drivers license, which again WHY? And their lack of communication is pretty bad - they take days to get back to you and again, so many other home owners that respond right away, this company just misses the mark.

Nice big house on quiet cove. Great for kids to swim and float around

Great location and beautiful house
This property was great for our family. There was plenty of space to be all together or room to get “away” if you needed some alone time. The bedrooms were quiet, even if there were people playing pool or making other noise. Definitely would do again!

Lock pad
The lock pad worked sometimes but not always. When we first arrived the lock pad did not work. We had to enter through an unlocked door in the back. When we left the lock pad also did not work and we had to leave the front door unlocked. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay! Thank you!
