zentrale Lage, recht ruhig.

The location if great, in the centre of the city. It was easy to find on our bike tour.
The bike storage facilities were great, an underground garage across the other side of the square.
The room was huge. I think I have never been in a bigger hotel room ever. There was just a Velux window, so no view.
The building is an old historical one and it's like traversing a rabbit warren finding your room. We had 7 bike bags and a battery to carry and needed a few trips from reception through the "warren". Thankfully there was a lift to our 5th floor room.

Goed ontbijt, vriendelijk personeel.

Room very comfortable and clean, breakfast selection was really good and the location was amazing, so close to everything!
There was no welcome at breakfast and although it's not rocket science, I had to work out for myself where to get everything- the selection was great. Took a long time to get a receptionist's attention (they are hidden behind a screen) and when I asked for a taxi to be phoned was just told the name of a company to call myself.

We planned to visit Grioningen but could not find the "right" accommodation fit. Quite by chance then, we staged our visit visit from Leeuwarden, and what a wonderful surprise: a beautiful city, historic and vibrant but without the crowds, and an hotel in the center of this city that was once a royal residence. Ask the manager for a rundown of the building"s history. The breakfast room is in an intercoonected adjacent building – have the pancakes, bacon, cheese, and syrup. Centrally located, absolutely everything is a short walking distance.
There's nothing not to like!

Location is great! But is it not a easy hotel for handicapped!!
It is challenge for a handicapped. They have the room adapted, but … to get in the hotel, If you can not go by stairs, you have to go via the service entrance, a small lift, every different ambient has a difference in level - not practical for wheelchair or walker.
Going to the bedroom has to go via many turns, get the lift (never forget in case of emergency you can not use the lift to go down!!!)
Going to breakfast, we had to pass by few steps down (stairs!!) - the easiest way to go back to the room was by the street and use the main staircase. (The service entrance for the lift, has to ring for someone to come and open.
The staff said I was not allowed to stop my car by the front door. Next day, when I realized that the spot in front of the hotel is for handicapped, I asked why they did not let me use it at the reception and they said “oh, sorry!”

Central location
The rooms were awful. Shower was terrible. Disgusting carpets on all floors. Crooked bed and floors. No fridge. There was a note in the room asking us to not take more than five minute showers, and use no electricity. They also tried to sell pillows??? And not eat takeout? We felt like a burdon for being there.

Central location in the town, so easy access to bars / restaurants. I had a lovely view over the square. Nice hot showers and wifi was stable and worked well.
All was good - friendly staff - only down side was that it was a very old fashioned key on a heavy fob rather than a key card

Location was excellent, in the middle of the old town, bars, restaurants and canals. You could walk everywhere including the train station. Beds were great, breakfast good, rooms renovated and clean. Tee and coffee makeing facilities in the room. Helpful staff, some tables also in the back garden, nice old building.
There could have been two things in the bathroom to make it perfect: curtain or door in the shower and hand'shower'/ bideshower next to toilet.
And also maybe mini fridge could be added in the room.

The location of the hotel was excellent, right in the centre in a peaceful area. My room was cosy and comfortable, with coffee and tea-making facilities. The hotel building is amazing with beautiful spacious lounges and resting areas both inside and outside.
I liked everything about the room and the hotel.

The room was gorgeous and the staff was really nice and helpful. The place is really quite and central and the overall castel gives a really dreamy vibe.
I was expecting more from breakfast, not too much choices for the price I paid. I also noticed my coffee supplies were not filled the second day, and I had to ask myself to thse staff. I also did not like to have to separate beds, is okay to have separate matresses but I would have like to have one linen to keep them together (because of this I was falling out of the bed during the night)

Location is middle of the city centre and a beautiful building.
Maintenance is lacking, dirty floors and ceilings. Poor to none amenities and very thin and hard bath textiles. Location is NOT reachable by car. Need to park at public parking garage 5 minutes walking.

The atmosphere is royal! I love old palaces and it’s right in the city center.
The room wasn’t very clean. Cobwebs and mildew.

Location great! Near restaurants and in town.
Room quite small and parking was across town.

The bed - large room - quiet.
More information about parking - we parked fifteen minutes walk from the hotel. We arrived half an hour too early - and would have appreciated a more dedicated place to leave our bags instead of the room opposite reception.
