Beautiful location, lovely grounds, comfy lounge areas and quality dining experience.
Pillows were a bit uncomfortable but there were additional pillows for support/lounging on bed provided.

Typical Paradores one gets what you expect. Staff are outstanding.
A little remote and the drive up is quite scary, a narrow road on a cliff edge can test anyone’s nerves

Set in a beautiful location and with easy access to some walks from the Parador, it was the perfect place to relax. It was comfortable and simply decorated and the staff were great.

The Parador de Cazorla is a bit older than most of the other paradores, however it has it‘s own charm and atmosphere of a hunting villa in the mountains. If you are aware of and fine with the fact that the rooms are not new or renovated, you can have a good time there and use it as a starting point for stunning hiking tours in the Sierra de Cazorla.
Very good is the breakfast and the restaurant, although the area is famous for its meat dishes, the also offer some pretty good vegeterian dishes (of course the meat dishes are also very good :).
The staff is very kind and attentive.

This review is from Howard. The room was booked by my wife Catherine. This parador is in a stunning location at the top of the road, twenty minutes above Cazorla at 1300 metres elevation. My room was massive, really comfortable and with an amazing view. It was one of the nicest rooms I’ve ever stayed in, anywhere. On arrival, I paid an extra 10 euros per night for a room with a view. This was certainly money well spent!
The breakfast was excellent, if a little pricey at 19 euros. I spent two nights here and had two evening meals, venison both times which was excellent. My only criticism was the quantity of vegetables with the venison. It was minimal and, on the second night, the total quantity amounted to two desert spoons only. Despite this, the quality of the food and the friendly service was excellent. I ate both my evening meals outside on the terrace, admiring the stupendous view …perfect!
The staff could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. Marina on the front desk was extremely helpful and gave me all the information I needed on the walking trails in the area and even had the Spanish instructions translated into English for me. She was a real standout. Moreover, she speaks excellent English. Brava Marina!
More vegetables with the evening meal please. That is my only criticism, hence my overall score of 9.

The location was good althought not easy to reach. The attention of the employers excellent, and beds were comfortable. The view from the the dining room. And then the salon it is nice, big and well decorated.
Our room. I mean it was good but not for a 4 stars and the price we payed for. No view at all, without daylight even in a sunny day and in the morning and quite old. When I say old I dont mean old with style but I mean it needs a reform. (repainted: walls, doors, bathroom for example, change the curtains... but this is just a suggestion). Then few other things that were more essential to us: only one place to plug digital dispositive near the bed (nowdays everybody has a telephone to plug: two persons, two telephones) and there is a light that activate in the night when you get up to go to the bathroom and it is very bright and disturbing. The first night it scared me and each night woke up me or the other person when I or my husband was going to the bathroom. Also I would suggest to change the blankets for duvets. Nowdays all 4 stars hotel have that. The thing is that we visited few other paradors and always they surprized us for the beauty of the place and rooms that were just exquisite (Salamanca, Avila, to say two of them....wow they are just beautiful) and I wouldnt say the same of this. There are more hotels around same price with better rooms and good locations. My aim is not just criticizing but I hope will serve to improve the place as feedback is always helpful.

Location
Cramped room. Door key plus spare very tricky but no maintenance available during our stay. Receptionist tried to help but no other rooms available. Poor show at prices charged.

Very nice stay, and nice personnel. but so many rules due to Covid… too many rules kill rules. Sometimes frustrating mainly When you are a family of 6 and People tell you to separate in two tables …

I love staying at The Parador hotels ,they may not be the most chic, but they have an elegant charm.
Think the dining room was a bit bright.it would be nice to have softer lighting and candles on tables.
Wish the bathrooms had proper separate showers ,not shower in the bath.

Fantastic food both for breakfast and dinner - the half-board option is great vfm. Nice pool and stunning, remote location.
The rooms are comfortable and clean but rather dark and a bit old-fashioned.
