Super mysigt hotell med fantastisk personal. Frukosten var lite spretig och saknade vissa saker

Loved the room, and the French Bistro feeling in the breakfast room.

Nice big room is a nicely restored old building. Very helpful front desk staff who gave us great advice about restaurants. Great wine bar specializing in French wines.
TERRIBLY LOUD NEIGHBORHOOD ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHTS. We were unable to sleep two nights of the four we were there. Outrageous that the staff didn’t warn us.

Superb breakfast, friendly staff & great location.
Needs shelves in bathroom & shower

Very large and comfortable room in a perfect location . staff were lovely.
They had an issue with housekeeping which meant we couldn’t check in until 6pm: Which with a small baby wasn’t ideal. Our room also wasn’t cleaned until the late afternoon each day

the breakfast options for gluten free were limited - and didn’t

The hotel had a unique ambience to it. It seemed to meld old character features with modernity. The shared spaces had a nice comfortable feel to them. The reception staff was efficient and friendly. I also liked that they provided hand wipes at the front desk.
The location was perfect for us especially being close to a metro station.
The room was huge and had plenty of sitting space, a wardrobe, and lots of closet storage. There were large windows allowing lots of light (a big plus for me) even on the second floor. The curtains worked fine to keep out the light in the early morning. The pillows were soft, and the bed was large and comfortable.
The bathroom was large and had heated floors. The shower itself wasn’t large and did not have a place to put our shampoo/soap. The water did not stay in the shower; it went all over the floor. However, the water does dry reasonably quick with the sloping floor and heat. We quickly learned to not put the bathmat down while taking a shower because it will get soaked. The towels were large and there was a large ledge to store toiletries.
I’m not a breakfast person, but the breakfast was so tempting that I ended up indulging myself every day. There was a wide variety, and everything was tasty. There is a wine bar at the hotel which was a nice place to unwind and relax after a day of exploring. The staff and service at the wine bar was excellent.
The cooling didn’t seem to work well even with the room card inserted in the slot. We couldn’t get the room to cool below 23.5°C. Luckily the windows were operable so we could cool the room a little bit by opening them at night.
There was no ramp from the outside sidewalk to the lobby and elevator area which had about 8 or so steps to navigate. It wasn’t enough steps to make handling the luggage a big problem, but someone with a mobility issue might have difficulty.

location
False pictures advertising rooms which seem beautiful yet in reality are dismal. I wanted the best plus balcony. Neither was possible. They blame it on booking. I disagree. Only the Sparrow can be responsible for the contents on their page. Pictures attached

the location is perfect, less than 5 mins walk to the Centre of the city and no more than 10 minutes from the Old Town and Museums. it’s an old hotel that has been modernized, so a nice blend of old and new. the breakfast is fantastic and the staff extremely helpful.

wallpaper was too crazy

Very convenient hotel, close to every must see spot in town. Walking distance from restaurants, bars, museums, shops. Nice staff, nice breakfast (though very french and with no real 'swedish' touch). Clean.
Room was very small and dark (only a very small window that could not even open fully) and was a bit claustrophobic. You have to chose a specific hr for breakfast which feels a bit strict.

great location. Breakfast with personal touch.
room was bit too small for two persons and luggage

The location is pretty much ideal.
So I've booked a room that will cost me SEK 3,211 per night and all is going kind of OK, I don't love it but I like it quite a lot, until the waitress at breakfast tells me I have to pay SEK 35 extra to get a latte or cappuccino from their coffee machine instead of the tepid filter coffee from the thermos.
I can tell you I would most likely have booked the room even if it cost me SEK 3,246 per night, and if the latte was included I would have given the hotel an 8 out of 10 rating instead of a 6. It's like when IKEA in England tried to charge 50p if you wanted to pay with card at the check-out; the amount is really tiny but it feels so damn petty when I've just spent a couple of grand. Room was quiet and well equipped.
Bed and linen was exceptional providing a true luxury feel.
Friendly staff with helpful suggestions.
Good Sparrow City Map available.
Breakfast was perfect with warm and cold options. Tomato bread and croissants were surely cooked on the premises - delicious. Very well laid out with booking to avoid overcrowding.
Housekeeping was timely as requested.
More cupboards would have helped but ok for us with only 'hand-luggage' clothes.
Bath -- as well as a shower would have been a bonus.

Lovely building, situated in an ideal location.
It was mid-August and warm in the city. The air conditioning system in one room had some issues, but staff attempted to remedy it quickly.
3.5
nice location
it should be made transparent that the room basically had no window. fortunately they could give us a better room under the roof. we would not have booked a room without a window
