Everything was up to or above expectations. Liked the additional treats for our dog.

The rooms were spotless and had everything we needed for an overnight stay while visiting friends and family. Double bed was very comfy and breakfast pastries and cooked items were delicious. It was much quieter than we were expecting - even on a Saturday night and being right next to a main road! Plenty of parking and really helpful staff.
Sofa bed had a fairly hefty bar running across it that wasn't hugely comfortable but for 2 small-ish children, it was OK for a night!

Schönes Haus mit guter Gastronomie im Haupthaus.
Das Bett war etwas schmal, ist aber typisch für England.

Good location for staying over en route to Gatwick. Good room. Comfy bed. Pub next door very welcoming.
Toilet flush button was very loose and temperamental. Bathroom a bit dated.

Location is a bit off the beaten track, but it is worth the effort.

This was best place we stayed on the ‘King Alfred’s Way’ by far. Really excellent room, great food, and superb staff. There were locked facilities for the bikes. It was a perfect overnight stay - wish it could have been longer.

The staff were amazing; friendly and helpful.
The single Room was dark, small and not worth the asking price; too much money for too little. there was no breakfast to speak of at 9 a.m. except granola! Or toast!

Breakfast choice to suite everyone.
Building work being carried out during our stay, blind in room had to be pulled down during the day.Access to the hotel from the A31 wasn’t straightforward.

The Staff were fantastic as soon as we arrived.
The room was really nice, we stayed in one of the suites. Bathroom was great.
We had food at the pub and it was very tasty. We enjoyed it so much we have booked another night there.
Plenty of parking for the hotel.
When we arrived the windows to our room were wide open and it was freezing. Struggled to warm the room up after that.

very friendly staff, we had a nice dinner and breakfast was the best I’ve had in a very long time. Highly recommend the full English ( with poached eggs). Would definitely visit again if we’re in the area.
