It was good, I would go back if just for its uniqueness

A very interesting hotel, unique style, classy great attention to detail

I went to the bar, wanted a drink and food, took ages to get drink, was passed menu then waited at the bar while the tables were laid, gave up waiting to get served so went up the road to a very good Italian and ate there 🤷‍♂️ Shame as the menu and venue st the hotel looked lovely.

1 night is enough

The lobby and restaurant were lovely and a nice park outside

Once you went through the doors for bedrooms there was a marked decline. There are no windows in bedroom just long panes of glass, so there is no opening to let air into the room. There was an old aircon system that I has to run all night to try cool room. When I put my card in the keyholder slot, the whole box fell off the wall!

Superb

Very clean and close to all the main areas. Stayed as going to races, only short walk away, town centre also only short walk away. Partner left his suit in the wardrobe, hotel staff really helpful and got it back to him by post. Intend staying again next year for races.

Fantastic Valentines Ball at the Earl!

The staff at the hotel are just brilliant! They work so hard and are the friendliest staff we have met at any hotel. We visited for the Valentines Ball which as always was brilliant. Good food very well presented and served and fantastic band. A brilliant evening! And breakfast the following morning was superb! Thank you to the Earl to another brilliant stay!

Unique.

The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in. The room was massive. Breakfast great (really good sausages!) and nice that it was served, not help yourself. Staff really helpful. And we loved the decor ( and the lift)!!

Easy and charming short escape

This was our second stay at The Earl of Doncaster, so we expected exactly what we got; a retro modern environment, with great food and a warm welcome. The rooms have their own unique characteristics so every stay does feel that little bit different. We will definitely be trying a more expensive suite to see if we're missing out on anything, however all that is needed for a impromptu getaway is available in the "basic" rooms!

We came at a busier time than our last visit, so staff were preoccuppied with other tasks. This is not at all to say the staff weren't fantastic but that The Earl could definitely benefit with more staff at peak times.

An amazing place which rejoices in quirkiness but is still a serious hotel.

We had been told this hotel is quirky - a bit of an understatement, it’s completely delightful.

Prefer to be able to open the bedroom window.

Beautiful Art Deco Hotel

Such a pretty, well appointed hotel. I will only stay at hotels with decent size rooms. We had an executive room with a large comfortable bed. The bathroom was roomy too. Welcoming staff, lovely food. I would definitely stay again. There is a lovely park across the road if you bring dogs with you as I did.

The hotel is fabulous and most of the staff were helpful and friendly

When we got back from the arena we were told that the bar was closed but people were drinking. We asked a staff member who was less than helpful but another member of staff took over and served us.
