Right in the middle of the village with good access to other Cotswold villages. Able to walk on the flat.
Good choice of foods at breakfast. All requests met.
No lift, we were told our room would be on first floor but it was on second, difficult for my husband to climb often. Staff not always available in bar, reception or to carry case upstairs when we arrived(done by receptionist)

The room was lovely. Plenty of space, comfortable bed and pleasant decor. The food for dinner and breakfast was good, although dinner was quite expensive. The location is central to Chipping Camden and very convenient for touring the Cotswolds.
The parking in the car park at the rear was very tight with lots of cars already in when we arrived, including those visiting the spa. We were lucky to squeeze in. The pathway down to the hotel reception was unlit, which is not very safe when darkness falls. The bathroom had a leak below the toilet, which, when we reported it, whilst noted, was not resolved and we were given a bowl and towel to put under it. Not what we would expect for the price we paid! Nor was the lack of fresh milk. Given there was a fridge, a small bottle of milk would have been thoughtful, rather than those dreadful small plastic pots. We also had to ask for more tea and coffee, which did not appear to have been restocked when the room had been prepared. There was no bin by the tea and coffee area, which would have been useful for teabags and empty milk pots. The cold buffet for breakfast was a bit sparse, with only cornflakes for cereals and a bowl of watery fruit and a few pastries. We got the impression the hotel was short staffed for the breakfast shift. Only small complaints really, but for the price we paid, a little more attention to detail would have been nice.

Nothing 😃

The junior suite was exquisite, large bed and an en suite with a separate bath tub and shower and a his and hers basin. Stunning garden area with many enclosed seating areas. Super friendly and attentive staff members which catered to our every need.
The building is a bit of a maze to get to your end location or room but you get accustomed to it easily.

Great Breakfast, garden room with hot tub was fab, only used the pol in the Spa which was great.

There were a lot of wear and tear, such as in the sofa, in the armchair and in the bedroom walls. It is unaccaptable to pay for such a suite without everything to be excellent. They should renovate the room, removing the damaged furnitures. The staff also especially in the breakfast was not so kind.

The dinner on the final night was exceptional, with great attention to detail- a delight! Our waiter, Johan, was well organised, treating the very new recruit fairly. This was served in The Fig dining room. Dinner on the first night served in the Bistro was good but service was slow. The bedroom overlooked the main street in Chipping Campden, was large with a sitting area. The bathroom was big with both bath and separate shower. Lots of hot water and good quality towels. The beautiful garden is large with plenty of quiet areas, ideal on a hot sunny day or evening. Breakfast on both days was good.
Breakfast on the first day was amazingly slow for us. Bacon and egg for me and porridge for Angela took just over 40 minutes from ordering. Unfortunately several table were served before us even though we came down early to help avoid the rush. The breakfast staff could not cope very well with the numbers. However the food when it arrived was fine. Breakfast on the second day couldn’t have been quicker!

Beautiful hotel lovely room and breakfast

Location was great, staff friendly and helpful.
Pillows were old / flat
Double bed was 2 singles pushed together and could feel the gap!
Tea at breakfast was bland - could have used tea leaves for a better tea instead of tea bags in pot. Breakfast buffet was quite good although my egg benedict looked quite anaemic!

We booked a junior suite, it really was a wonderful room with a great bathroom, we overlooked the rear of the premises and the countryside beyond. The staff were very attentive, friendly and professional. The food was excellent and the town beautiful, the spa was superb,a wonderful visit, thank you.
All good

Great location, beautiful building, good sized room, good food and very accommodating with vegetarian, gluten free.
Only one general EV Charged, no control over use, so one vehicle was charging the whole time and couldn’t charge up. Were told on leaving Chipping Campden School had some but couldn’t find them. So if in electric vehicle don’t depend on charging up there.

Bath was huge and sensational.
Art decor suited bathroom.
Wardrobe doors were sliding and so heavy ,
My wife couldn’t open them.
Couldn’t reach rail to hang clothes , it was so high.
We were supposed to stay 3 nights but it was not relaxing .
Stool for my wife to use mirror was uncomfortably low.
No higher chairs available .
Asked manager to phone me as he was not on premises over Easter weekend . Still waiting !!
We were told we could have another room the 2 nd morning . It turned out that it was only available for 1 night , and we would have had to change rooms again.
We would have moved the first day and saved £400 if we had known that . I will endeavour to write a report on TrustPilot and Tripadvisor when we return home .

Food excellent.

Staff were very helpful, the room was very comfortable and the surroundings are amazing. The food was also excellent.
The spa was overall ok and the pool has massage jets though small. however the steam room was scalding and almost dangerous.
4.1
Very good selection of food. Well presented and good to eat.
Bed had a heavy quilt and not a very comfortable mattress. Also room hot. Good
4.1
Excellent staff, good location, nice communal areas
The room was shabby and poor. Frayed carpets, bathroom door wouldn’t close, wall light (reading light) anove bed hanging off exposing wires, kettle switch broken so you has to hold it down yourself. Vacuum cleaner constantly left outside door. Felt like staff quarters.

Wonderful staff, location and amenities. A really lovely hotel in a charming Cotswolds village. We paid extra for a superior room and it was very, very nice. Large room with a massive bathroom with bath and shower on the top floor. Extremely comfy large bed. Chaise lounge, desk for working, fireplace etc. Couldn't fault the room. Had 3 very good nights sleep. Breakfast was delicious, nice to be able to pre book the cooked breakfast in advance. Sonia the waitress stood out as being very personable and friendly. Dinner was incredible, we had 3 courses including the cote de boeuf with wine. No complaints at all. Staff very friendly and accommodating and helped my pregnant wife with her bags when we arrived. The spa was also very nice and relaxing, lovely hydrotherapy pool and steam room.
We loved all of it.

We were staying as a special treat for my husband’s birthday. The location is great and there are some fantastic local restaurants. We went to a superb Italian locally that I’d thoroughly recommend… Da Luigi Bistro. Perfect. We went for a drink in the actual hotel after our meal and the hotel bar staff were attentive and very pleasant. Also upon arrival we we’re treated very well by a gentleman who was very helpful at the desk.
The room was hugely disappointing and did not feel like a 4star room even though it was advertised as a superior double. It cost us £270 for one night and for that we hoped for something reasonably special. The decoration was tired and needed updating. The room did not feel luxurious. The worst part was the bed. the mattress collapsed on the edges as you sat on the side of the bed. It was two twin beds pushed together so if you rolled to the side of one of the mattresses it collapsed and was uneven with the other mattress. The bed was so uncomfortable neither of us had a good nights sleep. the next morning I discussed our disappointment with the on duty manager. She passed on our concerns and then started a string of emails that didn’t fully deal with our complaint. We were told there have been no other complaints which made us feel like we were the problem and not the room. They said they had checked the bed and all seemed well. I emailed back saying staying in a travel lodge was more comfortable and a fraction of the price! They offered us £50 refund initially which was then raised to £100 after I rejected their offer. Overall we were made to feel like we had a problem which left us feeling like they weren’t going to change the mattress / double bed in the room for future guests, so be warned and check the bed on arrival if you choose to stay here. The dining areas and spiral staircase is all beautiful but our room was a massive let down in comparison.

Staff were very helpful, pleasant and polite. Good car parking
Room decor was a little dated
4.1
The room was very good but need some maintenance touch up in the bathroom. The cooked breakfast was adequate but small and could have done with a change on the second day, i.e. advocado. The spa was very good.
Breakfast- more variety for vegans and fresh fruit.
4.1
The restaurant was lovely - fab dinner + breakfast.
Nice log fires + relaxed seating.
Whilst small, the pool + spa area were lovely.
In all honesty, the hotel didn't live up to my expectations. Staff were ok but a bit lacking in terms of a warm welcome. Our room was cosy but fairly basic.
