The Inn and food were fine. Clean and reasonably priced. Staff were nice and helpful.
Location is right on a busy road. Food was fine but similar to Toby Carvery type place.

Great experience

Great food and sensible prices, some proper beer too. Lovely room. close to main road but far enough away not to get too much noise from it.
Disabled parking spaces weren't the closest to the accommodation entrance, they were OK for the pub but not great when getting to/from the accomodation.

Comfortable beds, great breakfast, good showers.
4.5
Staff were really friendly and helpful. Location was great and the pub itself was really lovely. Nice powerful shower. Large bed, fairly comfortable (I prefer a harder mattress but never going to please everyone on that front). Overall, a really great stay.
Breakfast could have been improved a little but really wasn't bad. Wall tiles in bathroom weren't clean but the shower itself was clean.

Clean, very comfortable, large spacious room, good food, friendly staff, restaurant, and reasonably priced. Also garden is huge with outdoor terraces for warmer weather.
Non existent mobile signal (not the hotel's fault of course!), poor WiFi. Nothing around at all.

The room was spacious and had everything we required. The super king sized bed was a bonus. We could control the heating in the room. There was a fan provided for hot weather. Shower had good water pressure. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was vey good, plentiful and replenished frequently. We ate at the inn both nights of our stay and the service was excellent even though they were busy. The quality of food was excellent. I would advise booking to eat as it is very popular. Our room was very quiet and away from any pub noise. We would certainly return and recommend this inn to others.
Our only suggestion would be to upgrade the bath towels to bath sheets.

The location, room, food and service were all very good. I suspect had the establishment been fully open we would be giving it a very high score). However - see below.
Unfortunately we arrived in the middle of a two week refurbishment, which meant that the bar was closed, and food and drink were only being served in a drafty corner of the restaurant separated from what was effectively a building site by a flimsy curtain, which did nothing to shut out the outside air or the noise of electric tools. Had we known this was going to be the case, we would have booked elsewhere. When I raised this with the management, they apologised and said that the rates had been discounted (again, not communicated at time of booking) They also gave us a further £20 refund, which was appreciated, but could not really compensate for the poor dining experience.
I appreciate of course that refurbishment is necessary and that the 'dead' period after New Year is a good time to do this. I also understand that it is desirable to keep the business going while works are progressing. But it is also only fair to warn prospective guests in advance of the likely disruption and reduction in facilities so that they can make an informed choice.

Could do with better pillows

Location was convenient, food was lovely and great outside space for children.
Rooms a little dated with damp patches but we were hardy in the room, so wasn’t a massive problem.

Very friendly staff, good value and nice food. I had an upgraded room which was spacious and very nice. Plenty of parking.
Breakfast was a buffet style which was only Ok.

lovely and warm. ground floor room a bonus
4.0
Large comfortable room, big shower, good breakfast, sensible check-in and out and breakfast timings. Quiet room in spite of pub rooms and road outside being noisy. One of the most comfortable beds I've had for a long time.
Distance from car park and room, could have done with re-decoration of bathroom (although clean grouting etc was discoloured and missing in places). Poor choice of cereals for breakfast (all "kiddy" fare).
4.5
Situation of bedroom was very good. Also very comfortable. Both breakfast and evening meal excellent. Nothing was too much trouble.
