Location, friendly staff.
Shower was too small, head at my shoulder level, drinks fridge had been removed and TV broken. £443pm too high for quality stayed in better within Durham in last few trips.
6.0
lovely pool, good view, friendly staff
overpriced for what wasn’t far off the Premiere Inn. It was very expensive for what you got. Everything felt a bit mean -2 teabags, no biscuits, no minibar, one loo roll. Just all over priced for what you got. For the price charged it needs to be more special.
5.0
The position near the centre. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating.
It was very expensive because it was graduation week and accommodation was at a premium. Our television didn’t work properly and although it was fixed it went wrong again. We had a drink at the bar and there were no crisps or peanuts available to purchase. There were no newspapers despite the promotion stated that they were available. There was no guaranteed parking space which when you have travelled a long distance and paid £415 for the night is disappointing. We did get one but were concerned that we might not.

Location was beautiful and so accessible.
The hotel is a building site. The staff were so un-welcoming and had a very cold demeanour on check in which both my partner and I instantly felt. Considering we were here celebrating our anniversary it wasn’t the greatest start. When booking we were not made aware of the fact there was so much construction going on with furniture and plastic curtains all over the foyer, which I think for the price you pay especially if you have an upgraded room you should be made aware of. As well as construction going on inside the hotel there’s also a building site next to it which also starts works early.

Position good
No bar, could have been informed at time of booking
Lack lustre staff in breakfast room and reception, tv in room not working. Most staff seemed disinterested in their jobs
Quality of food on offer at breakfast poor
Fell far short of standards at other Radisson Blu hotels we have used.
Car parking charge 3 times the cost of the public carpark adjacent to hotel

We only had breakfast one of the days - and the buffet was a standard buffet. All nice, full english breakfast, all sorts of other choices AND also possible to order ala carte. It has the perfect location! And we had a view over the river and seeing the cathedral in the distance. Short walk to city centre AND the railway station.
I generally don't like hotels with carpeted floors. Also there was no small fridge in the room - we had a superior room with river view. Normally a small fridge is a dealbreaker for me, but other reasons made us choose this hotel.
I found the staff nice, though not super friendly and saying "Hi" or "god evening" etc as we were passing the lobby. There were renovations being done.
We also let the staff know there was missing soap in the showers at the spa - they weren't filled when we were there. Someone that visited us also got a parking ticket - as he didn't understand witch parking options where free.. or where to pay.

Pool was a little cold but good overall

nice breakfast and nice location. If you are stay in tree side, You can heard the birds always. If you stay in river side, You will see perfect view.
If you can come the main area, Main area doesn't smeels good unfortunately. In the room I try to use hairdresser lots of time and I founded only one side to use that.

Convenient and 10mins to town
Toilet - no shower screen when shower, making the whole toilet floor wet.. n the toilet sink was too low.. I think this toilet was meant for the disable..

Modern, well equipped and comfortable
Would like a PowerPoint both sides of the bed.
Room was hot for about 45 minutes after we arrived. Would have been nice if a/c was activated pre arrival

We got a free room upgrade
They were having renovations and we weren’t informed before hand

Beautiful hotel and close to everything, staff very friendly and beds comfortable.

Breakfast standard. I asked for poached eggs and was told by the waitress that the restaurant was very busy and the chef might not be able to prepare them! She went and asked and was told that they could manage two poached eggs. The coffee is TERRIBLE of very poor quality and the machines kept breaking down.
The room is tired and shabby. I have taken pictures which I will be uploading to your management team. Room 106 while having a glorious view is very tatty. The carpet is stained in several places, the armchair is stained and shabby, the paintwork is chipped and in need of repainting, the headboard fabric is cracked and rubbed away exposing the white undercloth. The mirror above the desk was filthy and covered in dust. We spent the next night at the Premier Inn in their Premier Plus rooms at half the cost and twice the luxury.

Spacious room.
Massive bed.
Great location.
Nice bar.
Had to wait for breakfasts ordered off the menu.

The room was comfortable and, in general, very clean.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Slept well.
Great location to walk into the city.
Breakfast seemed rather inefficient and slow to seat people.
The tea/coffee machines need to be situated away from the food because the queues for food and hot drinks, tend to clash.
The carpet in our room also had stains.

Clean and comfortable hotel. Rooms had everything required with comfy beds and pillows. We had a lovely roast chicken in the restaurant. Highly recommend.
Cross the bridge into the town or walk the river. Great location
Nothing to criticise

The hotel was clean and the staff extremely helpful and polite. Check-in was quick and easy, although I had checked in online we still had to check in at the reception upon arrival.
Breakfast was chaotic, whilst there is a notice in the lift explaining the busy times for breakfast, having watched how the staff were organised there could be a lot of improvements made which would improve the overall experience.

My wife and I had an exceptional experience at the hotel over the weekend. Added to its prime location, with easy access to shops and restaurants, the friendliness, courtesy and hospitality of the staff was most welcome and refreshing. Martine at the reception desk was truly exemplary in this regard. She made us feel special in every sense - room upgrade et al. We are already looking forward to our next stay at the hotel.

Perfect location by river and short walk to city centre .
Large airy reception and few outdoor seats . Staff very friendly and helpful.
Super breakfast which we all enjoyed.
Tea and coffee facility in room.
It feels very dated with some worn furniture and rooms basic with grating colour schemes . No gown or slippers in higher grade room. Air con didn’t work very well . Soap dispensers in bathroom almost empty. No mini-fridge although ice bucket and ice machine in corridor . Nice pool and sauna/steam room although sauna smelly and few guests remarked on this .

Location is great
Food in the bar and restaurant was awful and it's lost it's appeal. We used to use this hotel when it first opened, it's now tired and lacks any appeal. The mattress in the room was lumpy and uncomfortable.

We were mot told about the reduced parking after enquiring twice, so we paid the full £17.20 for a 24 hour stay.NOT HAPPY!

The location by the river was quality.
The easiness of arriving/parking at the hotel was very good.
Check in was rapid- no more that 5 minutes.
Breakfast was plentiful.
Location to Durham City Centre was very convenient.
Shower heads way too low. Was like a scene from The Matrix when trying to shower.
A roof top bar would be quality here- to take in the sights of the river/Cathedral from above 😉.
