Riverside location
Thin walls - I could hear the TV in the next room which was on all night, but Staff were helpful about resolving this for the following night.
The limited parking was haphazard resulting in wasted empty spaces. Could do with some signs encouraging people to tuck into their space and consider the needs of others.
The menu in the restaurant was very limited and the food was not enjoyable.

Hotel was clean, comfortable and quite quintessentially English
Hotel looked quite dated and a little bit tired. It was maintained but the furnishings were old-fashioned. Breakfast tea served was lukewarm, and my cup was chipped. The breakfast itself was good and at the right temperature with an excellent sausage. However, my fried egg was overcooked and therefore the yoke was solid

Our room was great overlooking the water. Friendly welcom and staff.
The outside seating area looked tatty and lacking flowers so the metal furniture could have done with a clean or fresh coat of paint.
The hotel was not serving food all weekend other than breakfast so we had to walk to another pub for our lunch and evening meal so that was disappointing.
We feel that the hotel needs some TLC to make it more welcoming physically fir guests. We feel this could be achieved with a smallish budget.

The property if staying on groundfloor in the outside rooms has access to a lovely terrace overlooking the river. bed was comfortable. I can not rave about my stay but would stay again as family in the area so the location and sitting looking out on the river was great.
I thought it was expensive to stay there, drinks were expensive, as we were going out we did not try any of the food - breakfast was ok, but honestly had better, asked for extra crispy bacon and one half was crispy the other half hardly touched the pan as if it had been folded and cooked - it was however made to order and lovely and hot. the room was a adequate but dated - the bathroom was showing its tiredness and I only managed to get warm water out of the shower. Also it would be a good idea to put some grab handles in the bathroom it is quite a step into the bath with nothing to grab on to.

Location, peace and quiet. Convenient for my purposes. Car parking included in cost.
It is quite tired but if upgraded it would be more expensive !
Presentation clean, bedding towels good but bathroom tiling needs attention.

The staff were excellent, so welcoming and attentive. Really made us feel at home and the food was exceptional. The area is beautiful, the terrace is lovely to sit out on and watch the river. The room was cleaned everyday and consumables topped up each time.
The rooms could do with being modernised slightly and more care in the cleaning. For example, the windows weren't cleaned from the outside and had a lot of spider webs. I didn't use the kettle in my room as I could see it had accumulated limescale.

hotel a bit tired and grubby

Beautiful location with a lake view, quiet and safe, nice staff, big room, free parking,
Room was big and clean, but there were spiders and some dead insects on the windows, not sure why they were not removed and cleaned.

The bed was extremely comfortable. I liked that I could open the windows and there was a view of the river. Staff really friendly.
Extractor fan directly outside bedroom.

Continental breakfast fine. Would have been nice to have choice of say poached or scrambled eggs instead
of just full English.
No night porter. When we needed assistance no one available. Downstairs in complete darkness but all doors unlocked. Anyone had access to whole house. Room 5 didn’t comply with safety rules as window didn’t open. This was discussed with manager following morning. She admitted that someone should have left light on in bar with contact number. She needs to give staff some training. Chairs in bar filthy. Rooms 21 and 22 where my friends stayed not serviced. Manager needs to spend more time in hotel. Next doors dog
running around on terrace begging for food.

Good location. Great views over The Thames.
Although clean, the hotel is dated in terms of decor etc. It could do with a makeover.

Quaint old place. A bit creaky and dated, but has everything; bar, excellent food, location.
Accessibility, if you have mobility issues. Parking is challenging sometimes, but always found a spot.

Room was a good size. Bed was really comfortable, we had a great night's sleep. Location was good with a patio overlooking the river. Excellent breakfast and attentive staff.
Rooms were a bit dated and needed a face lift. Carpet in the room was dirty. Shower curtain was mouldy.
2.5
Staff friendly, bed comfy, lovely location
Facilities quite out dated, lots of dust in the room, big unpleasant stain on carpet, long hairs in bath and on bath mat, lip marks on cups

Clean, warm and comfortable room.
Was noisy outside on one night, no fault of the hotel but from the pub next door. The other night was very quiet so guess it varies

Breakfast was terrible. Full English but they’d run out of sausages and toast!!
The room was so tired. Mildew in bathroom and in between old fashioned double glazing. It could be so much more in that lovely setting.
