Overrated

Location and Breakfast

Uncomfortable bed, old furniture, hotel looks like hostel and isn't worth that money. Except breakfast you don't have nothing to prove worth. Value not more than 50€ compared with hotels all over the world.

Skvělá poloha, příjemný standard

Hotel Orel se nachází v centru historické části Mariboru v pohodové pěší vzdálenosti od nádraží. Pokoj byl standardně zařízený a čistý, koupelna prostorná, vzhledem k panujícím vedrům bychom uvítali alespoň malou ledničku. Přesto, že večerní život byl v této části města poměrně rušný, na pokoji byl klid. U snídaně byl široký výběr, uvítali jsme místní speciality, které nabídku doplňovaly. Personál byl příjemný.

V hotelu mají s hosty asi ne úplně dobré zkušenosti - přesto cedulky s důrazným varováním, že se nesmí odnášet nic od snídaně, případně je třeba za to zaplatit 10 EUR, působily až nepříjemně - působí to jako by každý host byl bezmála zloděj. Jde to i proti obecnému trendu - třeba český řetězec hotelů Orea nabízí u snídaně papírové pytlíky, do nichž je možné si vzít malou svačinu s sebou.

Fajne miejscówka.

Największą atrakcją był parking podziemny, do którego samochód musiał zjechać windą. Było tez bogate śniadanie.

Good hotel right in the city center

Stayed here recently and had a pleasant experience. The hotel is right in the city center, making it very convenient for exploring. The room was clean, the air conditioning worked well, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking is available for an extra €11 per night, either behind the hotel or in a garage with a narrow lift. The reception is open 24 hours, which is a nice touch. Overall, a good, no-frills option for a city stay.

The room lacked a minibar, had a strong citronella scent from air fresheners, and noise from other guests in the hallway was quite noticeable. But still we had a nice stay!

Guter Preis, sauberes Zimmer und ordentliches Frühstück. Gerne wieder.

Das Zimmer lag fensterseitig zu einer Art Hof mit zwei Zugängen, wo sich auch der Eingang bzw. die Rezeption befindet. Alles war sauber, die Betten ordentlich gemacht und diese sehr bequem. Es ist sind mehrere Aufzüge vorhanden, die alle funktioniert hatten bei unserem Besuch. Dusche und Badezimmer waren groß genüg, die Austattung vollkommen in Ordnung. Außerdem empfanden wir das Frühstück besser als erwartet, gemessen an dem Preis - genügend Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken.

Die Lautstärke außerhalb war nachts manchmal etwas höher (Gespräche von außerhalb), was prinzipbedingt an der Lage ist. Das ist nicht die Schuld des Hotels. Das war aber nur zeitweilig und ist wahrscheinlich saisonabhängig. Daher fließt das nicht in die Bewertung ein, da es in der Unterkunft selbst ziemlich ruhig war und den sonst sehr guten Gesamteindruck nicht trübt.

Super geeignet auch für die Durchreise

Wir waren nur auf der Durchreise, Die Lage ist sensationell. Wir konnten zu Fuß schön die Innenstadt erkunden. Restaurants waren in der Nähe. Das Frühstück war super. Lecker Smoothies, gegrilltes Gemüse und regionales Angebot ließen bei uns die Gesichter strahlen. Personal war sehr freundlich.

So richtig gibt es hier keine Fakten. Wir sind mit dem Auto angereist. Da das Hotel in der Fußgängerzone liegt und diese durch absenkbare Polder abgesperrt war, gab es eine leichte Verwirrung, weil keiner auf den Knopfdruck reagierte, Ein kurzes Telefonat mit der Rezeption und schon ging alles seinen Gang. Die Matratzen wurden von einigen Mimöschen der Familie als zu hart empfunden.

Normální hotel, nic extra, ale ani nic problematického. Přímo v centru. Výborná snídaně

Zentral gelegenes Hotel mit feinem Frühstück und gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

Sehr nettes Personal, das Hotel ist zentral gelegen; grosses Zimmer mit getrenntem Bad und WC, was bei mehr als 1 Person immer hilfreich ist. Gutes Frühstück und ebensolches Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Im obersten Stock zwar schöne Aussicht, aber man hört den Lift sehr gut (die Technik, nicht die Leute), zudem nisten unter dem Dach gleich vor dem Fenster Tauben.

Once found a great hotel!

Location was great, staff was really kind and nice to us and the room was nice and clean!

The only thing that was difficult for us was reaching the parking lot of the hotel on a Saturday night in the city center, rest was perfectly fine!

The location was fabulous, at the city centre. The bed very confortable. The breakfast was very good.

Quiet room and a perfect location

The room was extremely quiet which we appreciated highly. Location is right in the centre of town and easy to reach from train and bus stations.

The room and shower were a bit worn down and the shower head had to be hand held.

It was really much more worth it then 3 stars

I was surprised about the quality comparing with other hotels in Maribor, it was much better then I could expect.

For breakfast I was missing more options for vegetarians or for those who doesn't eat white bread/eggs/sousages..
