I already knew the place and that was the reason to go to Curia, this was the first time in this hotel, is located inside a nice park with nice sightseeing. The breakfast was good.
Upon mentioning that the room did not have any view, trying to get another one, we were told that the hotel was complete (although there still were rooms available in Booking), instead of trying to solve the problem, they just mentioned that we could go, beeing reimboursed.

A localização, a simpatia dos funcionários e a limpeza.
Pequeno almoço e jantar muito bom.
Quarto com moveis muito antigos, TV muito pequena e antiga com serviço de imagem muito fraco.

I loved everything! It was all amazing. Very quiet place to rest and discover the surrounds!
Nothing to say!

The hotel is very well located within the beautiful park and surroundings of Curia. It's old style with a lot of space in the dining room, bar, rooms. The staff was friendly in particular with the younger ones. The restaurant was good, albeit with limited offers at lunch/dinner time some days of the week. The breakfast was very good and varied.
The swimming pool was not in proper conditions when we used it - with opaque water and pieces of mosaic falling just by scratching the wall or the bottom of the pool. Indeed I got the information that days after we left it was closed to usage. Nobody in my family got sick but it is a pity that it was in such a state, for the price of the stay. Overall some aspects of the hotel could use serious renovation. There is a charm to the old style but there's also a limit to where old becomes simply degraded.

loved the spa, massage and the natural hot spring pool.comfortable, spacious and beautiful room. worth the detour from camino. Gorgeous grounds!

The staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful. The hotel is obviously old but the room was nice with a large bathroom & a view of the pool. The parc is huge and nice for a walk. The hotel and park are dog-friendly, something which is rather rare in Portugal.
The spa - which isn't a spa but more like a medical place. Old and uninteresting with a small pool but the quality of the water exceptional. It is also a bit of a walk outside to get from the hotel to the spa. It is a shame that the old spa is in a decayed state and that the original spring fountain is also not accessible to the public.

The room was okay and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were good.
The hotel and room was a little dated, could use some upgrades. Not much to do in the area other than what the hotel has to offer.

My room had a good view.
I got bitten 3 places in the bed. I feel it´s not clean.
The bath tank has lots of water accumulated while taking shower. It´s very bad from the point of view of hygiene.
Bad acoustic isolation. Everyday early in the morning, I got awaken by the sound of closing the door of neighbor rooms.

Elegant hotel in lovely setting. It was a perfect stop off on our drive to Porto. Outdoor swimming pool was a bonus, as was free parking and breakfast.
Continental breakfast was fine, however, toast would have been good.

Breakfast was great, especially the bread.
Staff gave good service, and we appreciated the daily cleaning.
The water pressure in the shower was perfect.
We loved that the hotel was dog-friendly and had so many paths.
The antique hall of the spa is a beautiful space.
The bed was a little too firm (just a topper would've made a difference).
The bathroom was fine except the sink has a towel bar in front of it and the faucets are quite a distance for a short person. Leaning over to operate the faucets, the towel bar digs into the stomach—a design oddity.
The showers in the thermal spa deserve some renewal, as they are dark and musty. They should be on par with the hotel bathrooms.

The property is historical and beautiful.
Unfortunately I didn't have a good experience here. The check in time is at 2pm. I arrived at the property at around 4:30, after an overnight flight and 2hours driving from Lisbon. I was obviously exhausted and just wanted to get up to my room to relax but for my surprise, I was told that my room was not yet ready. I had to wait on the reception for one hour to get it available, at 5:30pm, 3 hours and half after the check in time.
In addition to that, the next day we had to wait 40 minutes to get breakfast served even though we had scheduled our time in advance.

We found the hotel clean and spacious. The room clean, and big with a large comfortable double bed. Bathroom also clean and well functioning.
