Escapada a Alcalá de Henares

Habitación amplia y cómoda. Ambiente sosegado y tranquilo. Ubicación perfecta. Buena atención del personal de recepción. Buen desayuno

Los muebles de la habitación un poco deteriorados. El desayuno era variado y de calidad, pero mejoraría la oferta de pan (casi todo era tipo sándwich). La Hostería del Estudiante tiene margen de mejora, pescado demasiado hecho, albóndigas secas y sin sabor y faltaban algunas referencias de vino por copas. RCP deficiente.

Not what I expect in a Parador, but still, a good hotel for the price.

Large comfortable bed; friendly, helpful staff; reasonable price; well located, quick walk to city centre I had one meal in the restaurant and 2 in the cafeteria and they were both well done.

I stay at Paradors for the experience of staying in a place with some historical significance or value. This was a huge disappointment for me. Everything was metallic grey or glass, new and shiny. Very few traces of an original structure if any, at least not in the parts I had access to. Walking to my room was like walking through a high school gymnasium. Parador breakfasts are usually a great treat. This too was a disappointment. The warm food was not so warm or well cooked even though I asked to have it well done. Service at times slow and disorganized. The cold food at times did not look fresh to me. The lighting system in the room was an annoyance. The toilet/bidet are in a separate room (good) but it's narrow and makes it hard to sit down without hitting your head on the wall. The shower is not in the bathroom (bad) but separated from the bed by a half wall. No real problem for me but could be a problem depending on who you are travelling with. I have no idea why they would design it this way.

Great hotel, let down by room temperature

Location excellent. Lovely building. Easy to find and good parking if arriving by car. Spacious room on 3rd floor.

Room far too warm and air con would not go below 21 degrees. Centrally controlled. Very difficult to sleep. Receptionist unfriendly on arrival/departure.

Perfect a romantic and cultural weekend

Location next to historic university and centre. Room was huge, modern, and comfortable Breakfast was excellent Staff were friendly and helpful

Very comfortable visit - dining room dinner too late but the cafeteria and helpful staff very good.

The building was impressive and room very modern and efficient.

No prior information that the Parador was a long walk from car parking.. No instructions in the information, therefore, difficult to locate carrying all our luggage. No indication that there was hotel car parking but that was still some distance for my wife who has a severe disability.

Another exceptionnal Parador stay, minutes from Madrid

Modern edge design - large room 101 - sweet dreams on high quality bed - on site parking or nearby LA PALOMA public parking at 6.95 per 24h. Fantastic restaurant for buffet breakfast or dinner.

Rooms 101 - 102 - 103 are directly situated on the main marble corridor leading to all remaining rooms on this level, and also in front of the main entrance to the pool area, so, very ver busy and noisy at all time. No in room kettel

Layout and design was good

Few things the beds could be more comfartable to get a 10 and they should have water availble free and also tea and coffe , this is only courtesy AC only goes down to 21 so on a hot day not good
