Propreté et calme, discrétion du personnel
Les oreillers ne sont pas à la hauteur d un quatre étoiles, petit déjeuner dans les attendus mais sans surprise.

Location is a bit far from the beach

Located on golf course and Grande-Motte is a nice place.
The hotel does not meet the 4 stars.
The restaurant is very poor, especially the staff serving here. Lacking knowledge and experience.
The food is average.

Stairs to main entrance extremely slippery when wet!! Ramp not identifiable!! Handrail for handicapped people inside the building not adapted for use, much too low , one can not grasp it: it is only a decorating feature. Forget it! Sound of continuous music at reception level is extremely noisy.
Directions panel to indicate location of the hotel completely and utterly misplaced. It leads to the dechetterie!!

Room was spacious clean and comfortable; parking convenient.
Disorderly and understaffed breakfast buffet. Understaffed restaurant service for dinner resulting in very slow inattentive service in spite of goodwill and intentions of single barman/waiter trying to servie all customers.

They allowed our cats in. But told us that only dogs are allowed when we were checking in. It says pet friendly and two weeks ago we were told at another Novotel in France that our kitties were welcomed, and stayed there without any problem. Our kitties are of course trained and come with their litter box and traveling scratch post. The lady at the reception was nice nonetheless, she said this was her manager’s orders and made the exception because we had traveled a long way and I showed her our Airbnb reviews. But first she asked if we could keep them inside their carrier during our stay. We said no, what was that.that would be in humane.
Only her and someone else spoke English, the rest we had to use google translator.
This makes for a record on worse vegan breakfast ever. I messaged the hotel before arriving saying we would need vegan breakfast… on the phone I was told three would be something, clearly they did not even research what vegan was because they kept on insisting we could not even eat the bread because it had gluten…. We never said we eat gluten free. And craziest part, they did not have any plant based milk. Not even soy!! very shocking for 2022. this has never happened in any other hotel we’ve stayed before (cheaper hotels have actually gotten us breakfast when we requested) That was mind blowing. How such an expensive and sort of high end hotel could not have the most basic plant based milk. It’s 2022, even on small cities when we travel, small coffee shops carry AT LEAST soy milk… and yeah so from the buffet we could eat absolutely nothing but black coffee, juice and bread with jam. This hotel is clearly ignorant on vegan food for breakfast. What’s sad is that when I booked I anticipated this and told them that vegan options does not mean raw veggies… even in Greece once we were received with vegan croissants, vegan scrambled tofu, or the chef would make us a special toast with guacamole and seasoned veggies…. Well this just sadly reinforced the lack of hospitality from France :(
Attaching a picture of the vegan breakfast. at least they didn’t charge us for this.

ROOM Service - Friday evening - May 21, 2021 - we ordered dinner for 9.15pm - dinner was delivered at 8.15pm which I refused to take - the waiter was very unkind would even say very rude ..... NOT GOING to add the words he used in french
this is inacceptable for a 4star hotel......!!!

Friendly staff, spacious rooms and good location.
I had dinner served in the room twice. Food was very disappointing.

The reception staff were lovely - one gentleman was very friendly, making lots of conversation about our day, our dog and giving us restaurant advice. The area is lovely for a very relaxed holiday as it is very quiet. We decided to stay an extra night and the only room available was the more expensive one - we stayed in room 235 and the balcony on this room is amazing! It has a lovely view of the pool, the golf course and the sunset and has nice deck chairs to enjoy it in. We went to the Grande Travers beach where it is dog friendly between entrance 60-65 which was amazing!! Lovely beach with clear waters and clean sand areas. It is also big enough to keep quite a bit of distance between yourself and everyone else so it never feels overcrowded. There is a restaurant a 5 minute walk away from the hotel called Lo Matas which has a very lovely vibe, the lady who works here is so lovely too and there is a beautiful view over the docks and the lake. The menu it a bit limited at lunch, but still nice - the menu at dinner is very good.
The hotel charges for parking, however there is a free car park right next door that they did not make me aware of or give me the choice to use. They charge EUR 10 per night for parking. I went to the bar to ask for some water and waited 10 minutes with another customer for someone to show up to serve us. This was the only time I used the restaurant/bar area so cannot comment on the service during meal times. The pool has a complicated system to open the gate to get in which was not explained to me at checkin. It is also a one way system, so once you leave the building for the pool the door locks behind you and you are stuck between the gate and the door. Myself and another guest could not figure out how to open the gate or ask anyone for help. Luckily the other guest was able to call reception to ask for help as I did not have a mobile phone on me.
