Het hoetel was goed bereikbaar, parkeren was aan de dure kant. Het ontbijt en het diner waren goed, bediening was goed. Personeel was in z'n algemeenheid vriendelijk.

The room was comfortable, well equipped, modern, the little details in the room were well designed. Comfortable beds, smart tv, well equipped kitchen.
The regional card, which gives you passes to a bunch of if attractions, was great.
Nice warm pool. They provide towel and robes in the pool, which is really convenient.
The place was great, some minor improvement points:
The room temperature was locked. We couldn't turn on the heating while it was a bit cold at night.
Some of the staff didn't speak or understand any English

Large and comfortable room, extensive breakfast buffet. Close to hiking trails. Fairly large indoor pool.
The room was large and comfortable but water bottles, tea bags and coffee cups were not added to for our second day. The beds were quite hard. The breakfast buffet was extensive and good overall but our request (placed during booking) for a vegan option was basically ignored. Fortunately it turned out that at least soy milk was standard part of the buffet. The Filippino staff at the restaurant was very friendly and helpful but the local staff was a bit stiff and uninterested. Lastly, the courtyard terrace looked a bit unmaintained.

We enjoyed the large rooms and comfortable beds.
Also the breakfast was very good.

A beautiful hotel in the middle of the hilly landscape. We had the whole chalet to ourselves, 3 bedrooms, a living room and a terrace with a picturesque view. The location is very quiet and close to the nature. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean and modern. We also used the pool - was not too big, but the water was really warm, to relax after a day of action. Decent dinner, and a great breakfast, with all the variety - from cereal and milk to graved salmon to scrambled eggs.
The only minus point is that the restaurant was quite warm and stuffy both for dinner and breakfast - it was a warm weekend, and open windows were not enough. Would also prefer the possibility to sit outside - there were tables and chairs, but as far as I can judge, they were only used for drinks during the day.

Modern and clean hotel room. clean and warm swimming pool in cold weather. breakfast was ok (could be improved if compared to other hotel competitor). got a good sauerland voucher from the hotel for free entrances of different entertainments (this is so great for our kid)
Expensive parking at hotel. therefore parked for free at the street (free only in low season?).

We read the reviews before the visit and saw some really strange ones. So, current status
- pool is hot, definitely 28+, may be even 30+, though it's small and will be perfect if you travel with kids. From apartments pool is accessible via covered hallway so you can come in bathrobes
- WiFi was good in the apartment and in the house
- parking is 9 EUR/day and located pretty far if you live in the house, but in general it's OK
- breakfast is OK
- hotel staff is good and friendly, I cannot confirm negative comments
- both apartments and houses are renovated and pretty big, apartments without kitchens only with fridge, electric kettle and coffee machine, houses with full kitchen
- no air conditioning, so cannot say what's the situation during hot days, though most windows are facing east, so not to the sunny side
- hotel gave us Sauerland-Cards for free and with these cards we visited a lot of attarctions for free. 10 meters from the hotel there is a covered cart track, it's also free for 10 min.
No lifts and a lot of stairs everywhere. If you live in the house, prepare to walk a lot up and down, since the hotel is located on the hillside.

Nicely located in the hills, right next door to Postwiese skiing area, so you practically can rent skis next to your hotel and take off. Houses are beautifully decorated, warm and have everything for relaxed holidays. There is a free pool and sauna with free robes and towels, and not too crowded. Reception staff was very helpful, you really feel welcome
WiFi is practically non-existent, especially if you stay in a house located further away from the main building. Just forget it, almost no signal, so you will need mobile internet at all times.
Not suitable for guests with limited mobility and babies as the whole hotel is located in the hills with a parking at the entrance , so you will need to walk stairs up en down all the time.
Hotel could definitely do more to make roads and stairs snow free after a snowfall.
A grocery shop on premises would help - now you need to drive to Winterberg to buy food or medicines

nice swimming pool, lovely breakfast, nice location but no restaurants around
300 euros per night and we need to pay for extra Nespresso capsules or tea bags (only of each were provided for 3 nights)
The website to book dinners or spa treatments is not user-friendly and it's all in German
Parking of 9 euros per day
A lot of stairs all over the hotel - difficult for people with disabilities

big, spacy room.
The room was not cleaned once. Silverfish all ober the bathroom. On the fourth day the garbage was removed and one new towell was brought. For an extra fee, the room will be cleaned for you. We stayed for four nights and paid ober three hundred Euro a night. attention, parking costs additional!
The television in the room politely asks you to be nice to the employees, because they do not have enough personal (many sick), however, not all employees are unfortunately nice to the Guests!

location near the hills without snow
We stayed 3 nights and the room was not cleaned even ones. Unacceptable for the price. The kids play room was dirty and the air hockey wasn’t working (we lost one euro in this machine). The swimming pool was dirty and noisy. The sauna was full of kids and parents with swimming suits. So not according to the hotel guidelines. The sauna staff like the rest of the hotel staff did not care much about the rules. The wifi was slow and often disconnecting. The temperature in the room at night was above 22oC and there was no way to regulate it. NOT SUSTAINABLE AT ALL.
There was a constant low noise in the room and I slept with air plugs. If you are noises sensitive and want a relaxing vacation DO NOT GO THERE. Not to forget:
-If you are with a Russian/Ukrainien/ Eastern European name DO NOT COME HERE.
The staff is unfriendly only when they hear it. We saw the difference of the staff towards other more local clients and we felt TERRIBLY DISCRIMINATED.

location and renovated rooms
it’s clear that this hotel suffers seriously with staff shortage. The reception is unfriendly, Stubbe is closed and rooms are not cleaned (we stayed 4 nights!). (unacceptable for a 4* hotel). When I attended the reception about having a not cleaned room, the message was that this was normal for a shorter stay.

the pool and decent rooms, good breakfast
extremely poor customer service, no housekeeping unless you pay additional charge (never before had such an experience), no response to requests for information/booking before arrival. rooms not ready on arrival (no check-in before 16), rooms not next to eachother as requested (on different floors). No elevator, lots of stairs.
Very few people speak english (at all) despite booking.com saying they do.
disorganisation in reception and restaurants.
New years buffet and service very poor and most staff very unprofessional. 45 minutes to get something to drink. Over-priced!
not a four star experience and definitely not worth 350 EUR per room per night.
Had the feeling of coming to fawlty towers.

Dinner reservation was limited tot 20:00 at the latest, would be nice to have the possibility to eat later

Area was beautiful, house was cozy. Staff was friendly. Cleanliness was taken seriously.
So, in total we paid around 550 EUR for 3 nights, and I just don't think that's worth it.
Almost no vegan options for breakfast at 19 EUR per person is a joke. The resort was also understaffed, which should tell you plenty in regards to the competence of management. There's no parking in front of the houses and parking in the garage costs an extra 9 EUR a night. Bringing a pet costs 20 EUR extra a night. Whirlpool is connected to the basic pool, thus not warm. Spelling errors in the bill. Bed was two single beds pushed together.
