The staff are still lovely and do try very hard.
The Hilton property owners need to invest in much needed maintenance and upgrades now that occupancy is generally back and Hilton management need to pay staff better as they are their biggest asset!

Some decent staff- especially the manager by name akiro
1) Location- Denarau is reclaimed swampland, full of flies and mosquitoes, this is not a natural beach, nothing to do in Denarau except taking boat rides out of port denarau
2) Definitely not up to 5 star mark in terms of cleanliness, room was filled with mosquitoes and a giant spider(check attached photos)
3) Services are extremely slow- I understand, “island time”, but this is just bad customer service
4) Breakfast buffet bar filled with flies- My daughter caught a bad stomach bug after the first breakfast buffet , it pretty much ruined our whole trip
Why can’t they keep fruits and other items in enclosed containers?
5) Eating areas are full of flies and mosquitoes- I understand this is open beach area, but with some basic technology, this can be controlled, if not fully contained- i see ZERO effort in any kind of solutions used to control flies and mosquitoes in the resort
6) Extremely dated rooms, again check the attached photos
7) Water is not clean , look at the color of the water in bath tub, right after filling it
I walked around to Raddison nearby, far better property- I didn’t see the same flies problem there

Breakfast was great! Beautiful location and staff were lovely to our baby.
We are not ones to ever complain, however we booked with our baby for our first holiday and were super excited. When we arrive the booked us into a room at far end of resort, which we did find odd for bookings with children to be given rooms so far away from main area. It took a long time to walk to facilities and not able to use koro restaurant area obviously, as we have a baby. (Our baby was also got really sick on the second day after arriving so convenience would have been even more ideal). Bula bus also doesn’t turn up often enough for us to be able to make use of our time as we have to get out during babies wake windows, so we spent most of our day in our room or walking from the room to the facility and back before baby needed nap. Also when we first arrived to room our bed also had food stains and blood stains on it (looked like bed was re-made, rather than new sheets) we decided to ignore it rather than complain. Not to mention on the first night after a travel day with our baby, spent an hour getting baby to sleep to then have two different staff call our room within half an hour to sell babysitting services to us, waking up my baby….twice and made our first evening extremely difficult to settle her. A few days after staying there we asked to move rooms so we could be closer to the main part of the resort which they kindest organised for us. However that night my partner, baby and I were both bitten all over. The next day looked in the room to find it was covered in flees (or bed bugs). Then we moved rooms to one even further than the original one we’re were in. We were given credit to apologise, however the overall experience means we cannot recommend this resort to anyone and we do not feel that we can ever stay at a Hilton resort in the future unfortunately after this experience as we plan to make Fiji our regular family trip.

Facilities were top notch. The restaurant was fabulous after many poor food and drink experiences elsewhere in Fiji. Staff were lovely and even catered to us with an early check in.

Nothing was organised at this hotel. Didn't like anything about it. The very expensive breakfast was far from being OK! Everything was stale, nothing fresh.
They lost my carry on just before my flight. I had the worst time there. They found it last minute but didn't even try to make this up for me.

The spacious room sizes, the beds were awesome. The staff is very obliging, friendly.
The only complaint we have is the lounge chairs are very uncomfortable.

It was modern with resort public buggy bus available throughout the day. The Deli was a great choice for lunch options and takeout pizza for dinners. Plenty of sun lounges around the pool and by the beach. Water sport is available all day with friendly and helpful staff. The staff energy and friendliness puts you in full holiday mode… with daily water aerobics being a personal favourite. Ans shout out to the staff for being extra friendly and attentive with the little one (especially Dee from the Kids Club) who made little one’s hilton experience one of its kind with balloon, ice cream… you name it!
The beach is not as prestine as expected for Fiji. It was clean with black sand.

Our stay in Hilton exceeded our expectations by a mile. From the moment we stepped out of the taxi we were greeted with so much spirit while taking care of our bags while we checked in. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, even down to the contractors around the resort. The golf carts and bula express was an awesome touch. Our room was very big and very clean, room service did a great job everyday, refilling the fridge with water ect. We would like to make a special mention to Salesh (not quite sure on spelling) who went above and beyond for us by chatting to us on the Bula Express about when we were leaving/flying out, and took it apon himself without hesitation to book our taxi back to the airport, pick us and our bags up from our room on time and remembering our room number whenever we saw him around the place. One day we walked through all the other resorts in Denerau, and by far thought our one was the best. Overall great experience and will 100% come again. Thank you Fiji!

We booked one of hotel’s restaurants for our 10th anniversary dinner. They specifically asked us if it was a special occasion. But on seems they did not even care at the night of booking. Not even a dessert or something. Or a special table. As if we’re just there to eat dinner. So disappointing

Staff are obviously fantastic; they are very welcoming and ready to help. Breakfast was lovely and the Asian restaurant was fantastic, and all the restaurants have beautiful views. Pools are great right on the beach and the resort offers buggy's to take you from one end to another which is great in the Fiji heat.
The only thing that is a little hard is that the restaurants and experiences that the resort offers are expensive. However, is to be expected, the Koro restaurant food wasn't great but the other one was fantastic

The property was very well laid out so that you didn’t feel like you were on top of other guests. Having so many swimming pools also meant that often you had a whole pool almost to yourself and you never felt crowded. The rooms were very spacious and our view was lovely straight out over the water.
Nothing. Our room wasn’t as it was advertised online as we assumed that we had the older version of room but it was still functional and we didn’t mind. The property was a little run down in places but not in ways that affected our stay.

Veldig fine rom, bra med aircon
Vi var uheldige og fikk rom lengst unna resepsjonen, så tok ca 10min å gå fra den ene siden til den andre. Det var en buss som gikk frem og tilbake, men vi fikk aldri møtt på den de gangene vi gikk der… dette var ødeleggende, fordi det var så ekstremt varmt å gå, slik at man ikke orket å gjøre det
Maten på resortet var helt ok. Frokosten hadde de elementene man forventer (kanskje litt mindre også, med tanke på at dette er et 5stjerners resort) og ikke noe mer egentlig. Middager var også helt ok.

Adult pool was great. Lots of choices for swimming. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly.
Our bedding was not changed while we were there- for 6 nights. We rang and asked how often they were changed and was told daily.
The music was quite loud at the pools.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff , nothing was ever too much , exceptional service provided by everyone I interacted with. Although I felt my room needed a little bit of refurbishment the room itself was comfortable and cool ( it was very hot when I stayed) and had all the basics.
Breakfast was plentiful and there was a wide choice to suit all palates. I also ate at the Asian restaurant onsite and had a great meal there with friends - our waitress was fantastic that night. As I was attending a conference I didn’t get to truly explore the facilities but I gathered from friends also staying there that the spa and massage was well worth a visit…
For the cost the rooms ( I needed to change rooms at one stage ) both were a little dated for the cost and are starting to need an update/ refurbish.

We were locked out of our room for 45 minutes. The key pad was not working and we had a dinner reservation in the sounding area. Was very inconvenient.

Terrible pillows. Both my wife and I didn’t have good sleeps as a result.Body wash and shampoo etc were empty whole trip( 5 days)even though room was cleaned daily. Ended up using our own soap and shampoo as a last resort.

Broken air con. Broken lock when we arrived couldn’t get into the room. Someone coming to our room at 5.40am then 6.40am then 7am! No explanation when I complained.
Terribly Slow service at cafe deli. Pool needed cleaning. Breakfast food suboptimal. Stale nutri grai. Horrid coffee. Too many mynah birds.

The staff and room were fantastic.
The location of my room, I was in 5004 and to wait for a buggy to be taken back to reception as the walk is very long. The walk itself would of taken more than 15mins.

Room was lovely and well stocked with necessities. Bed was large and comfortable. Very clean and serviced daily.
Bottled water supplied daily as well.
Buffet breakfast was excellent! Location was perfect and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Loved the whole vibe in the resort.
There was nothing we didn't like about this resort. Slight wait at reception at peak times but we were on "Fiji time" anyway so didn't really bother us.

The location and facilities were excellent. As a more 'up-market' hotel things were a it more expensive than I would like compared to other hotels in the area, but there was less to worry about. It was an easy hot walk to Port Denaru where shops, money change, and boat tours depart. I was particularly happy to take a shower some hours after checkout before I got on the 10 hour plane trip home
The bath was a nuisance with a central tap into the middle that got in the way all the time. The Internet connection was a nuisance requiring logging on to 'Hilton Honours'. It disrupted my international call on arrival

The food & staff were excellent. I wish I had booked an ocean view room instead of garden as , there is no garden , just shrubs & trees outside, not very inviting to have a drink before dinner.
I could not swim in the ocean as the hotel said that the shoreline is frequented by stingrays.
I wish they had more shower rooms to use on last day as we had to vacate our room at 12 noon and our flight was not until 10.15 pm.
