Brief and comfortable

Location was perfect, hotel was clean and comfortable, the lady who checked us in went above and beyond, sadly I forget her name, but she was outstanding 😃

It was delightful

The hotel was in a wonderful position to explore the town. The staff were more than helpful and friendly from the minute we walked in. They worked as a team and were obviously all supportive of each other. The breakfast was very good and served with a smile. Our rooms were clean and comfortable and had all the added necessary comforts. A lovely place to stay but not from now on.

Our breakfast was the last one that was going to be served. There is a new owner and he is cutting out breakfast all together and sacking 10 staff. That means that no matter how convenient the position of the hotel I will never stay there again and neither will my friend. What a totally stupid thing to do.

It’s been stylishly redecorated Staff friendly and helpful especially at breakfast

Quite creaky floorboards but of course it’s an old building!

Staff efficient helpful and friendly could not fault! Everywhere spotlessly clean bathroom and shower sparkling and shiny loved it!

Enjoyed stay in the well situated and charming hotel.

Great location and a charming hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced.

Breakfast was not very good and quite expensive for the mediocre quality of the offer. Should serve proper coffee not from a machine. Pillows were too hard as well.

Excellent breakfast. Pleasant room. Well decorated throughout. Helpful and friendly staff.

Thin wall between bedrooms. Very little sleep because of loud conversation late into the night then snoring, then loud talking resumed at 5.20am!!!

A lovely hotel. Comfortable rooms and friendly and attentive staff.

We were so well looked after by staff members. All members were friendly and professional - great engagement with us, especially at the reception desk. Breakfasts were really good. Rooms were comfortable and clean- well appointed. We liked relaxing in the lounge area, especially in the late evening and having easy access to the bar and coffee. A nice environment to be in- lovely seating, smart and comfortable. Great to be able to use the hotel car park.

Would happily stay there again.

Good breakfast options, tasty coffee. Very clean and quiet room. Interesting library-shelves wallpaper in corridor! Location convenient for both Dorchester rail stations, and local restaurants. Congenial staff.

No lift. Over-scented products in bathroom. Shower screen didn't prevent lots of water on bathroom floor.

Outstanding visit to the city of Dorchester

The Dorchester was the best place we stayed in our 18 days here in England so far. It had everything that we needed on our stay.

Comfortable and chilled

Location was perfect for going to the shops or the park. Lisa was lovely and very welcoming.

Would have been nice to have more food options, for example being able to order food during the day. The window couldn't be opened so it got very hot when sleeping under a big duvet ( although a fan was provided).

everything was great. the hotel is an old building so a bit like a rabbit warren.
