Smooth check in and easy parking in the car park.
The room was amazing and great value for money (although did book late and price had reduced from previous days). Superb shower, bed was so comfortable and the facilities were great. Lovely little touch having a welcome note and some treats and cold bottled water to enjoy while working.
Nothing really, although breakfast seemed quite expensive so I skipped. Was advised it was a buffet so would have been filling I'm sure. Didn't have any pods for the coffee machine but no doubt I would have got some if I asked. Coffee bags were Illy and were great.
4.5
Beautiful room with high end features, comfortable and well decorated. Very good breakfast. Great location close to hiking and amenities
There was a problem with the bathroom taps, couldn't get cold water (which is odd) but otherwise perfect

Well sized room, clean and cosy. Pictures are accurate. Pub food is okay. Always appreciate having a kettle in the room!

Lovely traditional property
Good size room
Super comfy bed
Very clean
Great location
Friendly staff
Continental breakfast was quite sparse and not replenished regularly not the best VFM but lots of lovely cafe options for breakfast on the high street just a short walk from the property

The room was comfortable, very clean and attractively decorated. Service in the bar and restaurant was good; the quality of the food was excellent and good value for money.
An extra chair in the room would have been helpful. There was only one.

Decor. Feel. Friendly service. Great breakfast. Close to the South Coast
Very little. Didn’t know there wasn’t a bath in the room, but that was a small thing

The refurbishment has been exceptional. Beds are very comfortable.

It's a lovely old building, everything was beautiful and well decorated. The room was very clean and welcoming. The staff were lovely. Also had dinner at the pub and it was one of the most memorable meals, really good quality food and friendly atmosphere. A really outstanding place.
At least in room 31 where we stayed you can hear and feel the music from downstairs (specially the bass) late at night (until around 11.30pm) and early in the morning (from breakfast time, 7am). It is really noticeable and can be very disturbing. It's a shame because everything else was absolutely perfect.

Fabulous room, great location and very friendly staff.
Nothing.

The decor and property are beautiful. With lots of character.
And the staff very good.
Breakfast was given to us free of charge
The boiler had broken the evening of our arrival and we had no chance to shower before leaving or the night before.

Fantastic location, right in the High Street & walking distance to Dorking Halls. Beautiful refurbished room with all modern touches and luxurious feel. Staff couldn’t be more helpful and genuinely friendly, the best I’ve experienced.
Sadly only a view of a brick wall & close to noisy glass recycling area for the hotel.

We travel a lot with business & for quickness we get the quicker more convenient option. On this occasion we were unable to book where we wanted so chose the White Horse (as a better alternative), it pays to "think out of the box" sometimes, definitely on this occasion. In future I will not go to the "quicker" options. I can't fault The White Horse, staff, food, accommodation were all excellent & I understand why/how they are continuously winning awards. Definitely a must! A*
There's nothing I would complain about. Rooms were perfectly adequate/comfortable, staff were more than accommodating, bar/restaurant not expensive

We arrived and a parking space was found for us. Due to my poor mobility stairs present a challenge and Karima was superb. She changed our room and was very helpful throughout our stay.
Both our evening meals were well presented and very tasty.
Beds were comfortable.

Great location on high street. Staff friendly and helpful. Excellent choices for breakfast.
Rooms very warm.

Comfy double was small but space was used well. Bathroom was nice with large shower with good water pressure. Closet with shelves and a safe! Beds were comfy!! Parking needs to be reserved which we did. Space was marked with our name. It was fine, but we had a small car.
The restaurant was disappointing. The hotel was quaint, unfortunately the restaurant area was not. Breakfast was fine but the serve was poor. We assume new and inexperienced staff plus the coach full of women took up the back dining space. Ate dinner here also but wish we had not. Menu posted outside in two spots, one of which was wrong. Simply fix that should not have happened.

perfect for one night stay, central location in dorking town, although room very small, comfortable bed, functional bathroom, very good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff
3.0
The room needs a little bit attention - scruffy walls, some curtains not closing properly or needing to be re-attached at ends - but the bed was comfy, it was a good size and the bathroom was lovely. Very nice toiletries. Wifi was sketchy - asked for help and was told to walk around!

The location and the building.
Some parts had been missed when cleaning!
4.0
The room was nice, comfortable and welcoming
The food prices did not reflect the quality, for the evening meal and certainly not for breakfast.
3.5
location and was very comfortable
the food was only ok , same with ambiance, it was the day after Boxing Day , no candles lit or music playing

We were flying from Gatwick and did not want to stay in a bog standard, expensive Airport hotel, Dorking is about 20-25 mins drive from Gatwick. This Hotel is ideal in that it has an all-night reception, great if you are flying very early or arriving late after midnight. Full marks to Jason the night manager- very helpful. Beds and Egyptian cotton sheets are very comfortable. Food and wines are also much better than you would find at an Airport Hotel. We would certainly stay again if catching an early morning flight from Gatwick.
Parking - limited, so make sure you book a space. The restaurant staff could have been a bit more on the ball, we booked a table for dinner, but when we arrived they had no record of the booking, so ended up on the dud table. It's located on the High Street, so some might find it a bit noisy if you are in a front room, but there are quieter rooms at the back of the hotel.

Very comfy beds
The staff at the front desk on arrival weren’t the friendliest. The staff we met at the bar and restaurant were lovely and super accommodating.
