les dîners étaient succulents, les petits déjeuners très complets !
Le courant de la piscine couverte ne fonctionnait pas.

Guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Ausflüge in die Region

Clean good food homely.Especially the modern bathroom with big shower area and separate toilet.
Bed mattress was not the most comfortable and the two mattresses tended to drift apart. From 4 saunas only 3 in operation.

Warm welcome, cosy bar, relaxed and quiet

Sauna, recently renovated bathroom, fairly big room, friendly personnel
Dinner, older clientele (we are 35-40) other guests were 65+, bed had hard springs and two separate mattresses, style a bit old fashioned, old TV

Everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
We asked for harder pillows and soon after we found them already in our room.
They provided a rich breakfast buffet.
The food was excellent and as a vegetarian I always had options.
The location is very quiet and near to many hiking paths.
We had a great time!
Nothing.

Very beautiful hotel. All the Black Forest region is wonderful and here it's no exception!
The staff is extremely kind and welcoming. They were readily available via Booking.com and they speak English and French extremely well (and German, of course).
My mother was sick after our roadtrip and they were more than accomodating regarding room service, since she wasn't feeling well to go to dinner.
The breakfast is from 7h30-10h30, there is cake and coffee from 14h30-16h30 and dinner is served from 18h00-20h00 (at the time of our stay, during this long weekend in June).
The suite is like an appartement: is huge, well decorated, warm and cosy, and the balcony is also great.
The outdoor and indoor pools are also amazing, especially the exterior one as you have a beautiful view of the forest. The gardens are also very pretty with perfect flowers and a lot of greenery all around you.
It's a 15 minutes walk to the lake.
It's highly recommended, and we will definitely be coming back. Gorgeous!
I liked everything!

When we arrived we received a wonderful welcome. the lady on reception was extremely helpful and friendly. We are vegetarians and even though dinner was included did not have high hopes and had expected to have to go out to eat, but on our first night we were blown away by the choice and quality of the vegetarian food. Unfortunately over the week that we stayed there, it soon became clear that that had been a one off. Only the main course on the daily menu included a vegetarian choice each day, of variable quality, the starters, soups and desserts were not marked as veggie or not and so we constantly had to get the staff to run to the kitchen to ask, and the fixed 'alternative' menu became boring very quickly. By and large the staff were excellent, cheerful, friendly and accommodating. Most spoke very good English and most of those that didn't were prepared to get by with my poor German and good will on both sides. Only one of the waitresses let everyone else down by getting exasperated that we couldn't understand her long question in German no matter how many times she repeated it. I am not one of these people who expects everyone to speak English, but I do think that if you are going to advertise your hotel on international booking sites that the staff should expect to get non-German speakers arriving and be able to cope. It was a shame that these small things detracted from what was otherwise a very nice and well-run hotel.
For my taste the bed was too hard. Smoking should be banned on the balconies, or at least smoking and non-smoking balconies should be separated because, not only could we not sit on our balcony, but we could not even have the door to the room open due to the smoke from the neighbours. There was what I regarded as a steep slope up to the hotel from the village, and whereas the receptionist called it 'easy', my knees didn't think so, so something to be aware of if you are not young and fit.

loved the Kaffee und Kuchen.
TV channels could show more choices.

very good and comfortable hotel with traditions. In the restaurant the chef made attempts to make gourmet eat. Not every time was that attempts successful, but nevertheless.

Service is excellent, room was spacious. Furthermore we enjoyed the 6 course meal.
The spa is also nice and offers different amenities.
The location is close to the center while still being quiet

Given that Covid19 is here the precautions were The Best. Given that I suffer from coeliac disease the attention to ensure gluten-free meals was The Best. Totally superb experience.

Dinner and cake with coffee/tea in the afternoon is included in the price.
Good breakfast and very friendly staff.
Good restaurants in the neighbourhood.
Location close to the lake (Schluchsee) and possibility to do nice walks.
The covid measures especially wearing the mask were a bit loose maybe because we came from Italy were the
rules were more strict (measuring of the temperature, mask obligated...)

dinner: very good dinner; very light and very delicious mixtures of tastes
room: extremely quiet, during the night there no sounds even with the window open. No noise of other guests near the room, nice bathroom,
wellness: very tidy
Overall personnel extremely friendly
room: pillows are too thin so difficult to sleep, matrass too hard, no airco unfortunately, no fridge in the room
outside pool was very good but a bit smaller then expected, but water temperature was perfect
only thing is that there was no understanding or flexibility towards changing corona restrictions where they ask a cancellation fee of 80 per cent (via booking com) and even rebookings were refused
