Gorgeous settings, lovely old building. Staff friendly and helpful. Romm was adequate, bed very comfy.
Breakfast was very disappointing. Asked if we wanted eggs as we entered restaurant, they turned up minutes late, long before we had a chance to get to the main course.

The age and location were stunning and the reception and bar area downstairs were amazing. The bathroom in the room was very clean and bright.
The room we had number 18 was a little tired with wallpaper coming away from the wall and yellow crayon scribbles on it like a child had done it. The lampshade on the table lamp was damaged.
4.5
The history
The power kept going out so cold showers
5.0
Huge room, style and character
Shower rail (that the head slides up and down on) had some rust. Did not bother me , just seemed incongruous since all else spot on
3.5
A nice old building set in luverly grounds and close to what you need
Needs a good clean and a fresh up
4.0
Location close to Arnold and Mapperly.
Nothing.
3.5
The place reeks of character & charm and is staffed with caring folk
Bestwood Lodge is not just looking tired these days so much as downright exhausted & desperately in need of a makeover and a serious spot of maintenance & TLC but I still love the jaded elegance of the old place and always have whenever I stay in Nottingham.
2.5
Beautiful grounds and wonderful staff.
Cleaning of rooms and restocking horrible. Had to go ask for another coffee cup and water.?Shower broke two different times. Towels not replaced .
3.5
Evening meal and breakfast.
The shower controls were very very stiff to operate. Both the On/Off and the temperature control. We were in room 19.
This problem must be addressed before letting the room out again.
3.5

The bedroom was dated, light switches were filthy and the bathroom needed a deep clean

Was a terrible stay, the whole hotel needs upgrading they would need to spend millions on it, staff seemed miserable and they were unhelpful , no lift for the top floor curtains falling off the walls paintwork peeling off beds too soft I could go on and on about it ....

it Looks nice outside, and lobby looks old and beautiful.
it’s surrounded by trees. the area is green
Rooms are quite shabby and bed sheets were dirty with stains.
The manager changed the sheets and hotel worker promised they are going to write an email I think they could have reimburse some money for such an incident, but I never received it.
