Busy place good location
Although I didn’t complain, the plumbing was awful.
When flushing the toilet, itNEVER cleaned the bowl, the sink in the bathroom NEVER had hot water and although the shower cubicle was ok, the water pressure was very poor, (so poor if you held the shower head upside down, no water would come out).

The only positive I have is the shower gel was nice
I feel conned! We paid over £300 for 2 nights, with the purpose of sleeping.. we did not. The rooms are stifling hot and it was only April. The dyson fan was useless and was so loud it disturbed our sleep. When it was off it clicked constantly. I think my partner and I had about 2 hours sleep a night and that impacted hugely on the enjoyment of the wedding we were attending. Talking to other members of the party, they all experienced the same issue. We had considered changing rooms, but on booking in we were told that the hotel was full. This is a modern hotel with insufficient aircon and inadequate insulation between the rooms and the pool. It spelt of chlorine. We were charged for parking when it is not listed on the booking.com page. I subsequently found the parking rates only show when you go to print the page. The whole hotel was shabby, dirty carpets, chipped paintwork and furniture. When we accessed our room there was a painter in the corridor, but no guarding or wet paint signs. Breakfast was self service and overcooked.

Great clean room with amenities. Bed comfortable very happy with it. the hotel staff were great i have stayed there with work before which is why i returned. i would tell colleagues and friends about the Village and give advise a stay there
Bit noisy outside but it was a Friday evening so that's understandable. not too much negative to say as it was a great experience and as above i would recommend a stay there.

No air conditioning with windows that only open an inch.
Fan in the room which could not cope with cooling the room.

Facilities
Bar and restaurant was geared up for walk in public for sports bar with no attention to Hotel Guest. Ended up walking to near by restaurant with children as atmosphere was overwhelming.
On arrival told or family room had been given away. Also paid excessive charge fir friends to use the pool despite reception agreeing to allow following the mic up with room.

Being woken at 6am by noisy people in car park (sounded like workers)

It didn't say on website that it card only so I turn up.with cash the didn't try and help at all it was really bad didn't care that we had travelled far and if I unsuccessfully didn't get someone to transfer money I would of had to travel back home . No care at all shocking . The room was shocking, and decorating was bad stains or floors wallpaper, all bubblely not worth the money . And breakfast was vile. All we could smell was fish . Took lots of photos for proof

Self check-in was nice and quick. I didn't get there until 11pm on the day of checking in so a breezy check-in helped. The bed was comfortable.
A few things really griped me about this hotel, my room was on the first floor but because the hotel entrance is lower ground it meant the first floor is actually ground level and my window overlooked the side car park, meaning I had no privacy so had to keep my blind down for the duration of my stay. There were no inner blinds or curtains in my room, just a single roller blind, however i later discovered a few rooms up from me had both roller and wooden blinds, meaning they could have them open but retain privacy. The room itself also overlooked a VERY loud main road, however the windows were thin and road noise and car park noise easily bled in. Upon check-in I was told the lift was out of order (not a problem for me) but having read other reviews on here it sounds as though it's either regularly out of order or they just never fix it, which was evident to me when I walked down the hall to my room which I had to descend a small staircase to get to, as the disabled access lift for this staircase was also not in use, well, it was, but was being used as a place to store the cleaners trolleys. As someone with disabled family members it was rather distressing to see that the access lift was not easily accessible, not that anyone in a wheelchair would have been able to get up to use it. I stayed for 6 nights and got room service 3 times, the last time I had items missing from my order, but really didn't want to go through the process of contesting so have lost out. My final gripe is simply the parking fee, seems silly when you're a paying guest at the hotel that you then have to pay £5 a day to park.

The staff were excellent. The tv wasn't working in room. And the staff member was brilliant. Sorry didn't get his name. He moved me straight away. Can't fault him.
It cost extra to use the facilities. Pool and extra for a towel. Bar food expensive.
