Quiet location and comfort.

The accommodation is about 5klm out of town and is very quiet. Our room was very comfortable with plenty of room to move. A microwave, toaster and tea/coffee facilities were provided. Lovely fluffy towels and good linens also provided.

The wall heater was very effective but quite noisy. Use the freestanding heater in your room.

JAG Escape Franz Josef.

Very spacious & comfortable unit with good sized living area. Laundry conveniently located too. Good heating. Comfy bed & pillows, good showers. Located a bit outside of town.

Wifi wasn't great. Kept dropping out.

The space was big.

The pictures are very well made, but don’t resemble reality. It smelled really bad and was not styled at all; more an empty space where someone just put furniture in. The tap in the kitchen was broken, the cupboards in the bathroom were chipped, broken and hanging. The tablecloth was sticky and was not clean. But most of all the smell was awful. Everything was watered down, from the dishwashing liquid to the shampoo. The chalets are placed exactly as such that you have no privacy, no view and very little sunlight. the pictures of the chalet with view are the only ones, the rest is stuck looking at each other. We wanted to leave a day early (booked 3 nights) but got a “no refund because a 2 day policy”. Whatever that means, I just shrugged and got out of there because I would rather be comfortable elsewhere and we found something wonderful!!

It was exceptionally spacious. We had 3 people so 2 bedrooms. Had a great view from or lounge window.

We enjoyed our stay here, but more maintenance checks would result in a higher standard.

Spacious unit and helpful, friendly staff. Good location with views to mountains. Short drive to Franz Josef township.

The unit does require a little maintenance work: the oven control button was missing, the loose floorboards in 2nd bedroom resulted in noisy creaking and washbasin tap in bathroom was very stiff.

Stayed at this lovely place as it was close to where we needed to be for a helicopter tour. The unit was clean, very bright and airy had everything we need and a laundry across from us so we could do our washing. Highly recommend this place.

Awful - don’t recommend coming here. We had to wash crockery in the shower as no sink in kitchen area and basin in bathroom is tiny - which also makes filling the kettle very tricky. Bed was uncomfortable - with poor quality mattress Too expensive

Nice place near to Franz Josef

Nice area, a little outside of town. You can wash and dry for 6$ between 3pm and 8pm. Light and nice house.

The WiFi was really bad. We couldn’t really use it.

Located close to Franz Joseph Glacier and town center.

Visited during summer and there was no fan or cooling available. There was no milk for coffee/tea and the limited reception operating hours means there's no way to ask for any amenities either.

Having 2 bedrooms

Unit was cold when arriving on a miserable wet day and took ages to warm. Internet went out and in the morning the power was out. Furniture and beds were rock hard.
