The location was great - stones throw from the beach and a short walk to amenities.
The property is old, tired and dirty. We had three rooms between our group and all three had leaky showers. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. We had requested an additional bed when booking but it was not in the room when we arrived. We asked again the next day and still did not receive one. The main pool was being renovated which meant there were building noises all day.

Where it was situated on the beach. The staff were very friendly.
I requested a double bed & got 2 single beds. There were flying bugs in the bathroom constantly which required me to buy a large can of bug spray to use daily. The rooms are very, very run down & not only needed updating but the electrical wiring is very dangerous. The lock on the door was very hard to manoeuvre and the lock itself was very loose. The breakfast was almost inedible, who has salad for breakfast? The toasters mostly didn’t work & the majority of the food was not breakfast suitable. It was very substandard & usually inedible.

The location was perfect for us with close access to the beach, Jalan Padma and Garlic Lane. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, they were the best thing there.
The first pool near reception was being refurbished so could not use it for a few days. The larger pool was available, as most people were swimming there it got a noisy and rowdy. We had no hot water in the room and the shower head was clogged up, only had one hole working in both showers in our room.

Convenient location
The restaurant, buffet breakfast was the worst I’ve ever been to!
Sour milk, very poor selection for a buffet

Location
Old, run down. Deluxe room was a waste of money. Toilet didn't flush. Shower dripped. Holes in bricks, mosquitoes in room, stained linen. Not enough pool daybeds, people had to sit on chairs. Breakfast very average, plates stained with chips. Hotel corridors which are tiled had puddles of water scattered everywhere, some puddles had caution signs, others didn't, dangerous - slippery.
Will not stay again.

Friendly staff
Broken toilet, flooded the room.
Broken shower - no pressure just dribbled.
Blood and dirt all over bed sheets - needed to ask them for fresh sheets in our FIRST night.
Breakfast was bland - no variety
No working safe in the room
Very old

We stayed at the Melasti with a large group of friends for a 60th and 2 x 50th birthday party. The staff were very accommodating and ensured we had an awesome time. The location was perfect with a great beach bar out front and a well appointed "lounge bar" at the hotel's entry with a pool table and large TV's playing sport etc. We received a free upgrade to a suite room which was massive with plenty of space in the entry to store surfboards, suitcases etc for our stay.
Brighter light globes in the rooms would have been good, but really..... we were more than happy!

stayed there before but this time it was a bit run down

Was pretty basic not enjoyable small range of food.
A different hotel would have been better I didn’t do much research could have done better.

It’s a very very tired looking resort. In need of a major overhaul. All the facilities needed revamping. The gardens were in need of trimming and the lawns needed mowing. The room was tidy but poorly maintained. Major stains in the sink and bath. Towels were grey not white.

The location and staff were fantastic
The whole place really need to be high water pressure cleaned including parts of the pool. Mould of tiles around pool area became dangerous when wet.

Melasti was an excellent resort.
We stayed 2 weeks with melasti beach resort and we loved every bit.
The 2 pools were beautiful as were the food and drinks.
The staff and security were amazing and they really made our stay worth it.
The staff and security were super friendly and made us feel very welcome.
Rooms were always made everyday and there was always clean towel and fresh water bottles.
The wifi wasn’t great in the rooms. Which was hard for our younger sister who couldn’t be on her phone at night.
Besides that, everything was perfect.
3.3
it was tired all buildings need some work, very limited breakfast, no light globs in lights, tv didn’t work and no pool towels after 3PM

We strayed in the newly rennovatred suite/room 100. Was great! Lovely and spacious. Perfect for us (2 adults in first bedroom with ensuite) - 3 teenage daughters, 12, 14, 15 (2nd bedroom with own ensuite. 2 x king beds, two oldest wanted to share so worked out well) ... Had a large fridge (by hotel standards) and lots of storage space. I assume it used to be a residence as there was a TON of cupboard space. Air con in every area. Walked straight out of the room to the main pool/pool bar area. 1 of the 3 pools at the hotel.
Breakfast was awful! I eat Indo breakfast and have a big variety of things I'd be happy to eat. But the buffet was horrible. Very small selection and apart from the egg station everything we did try eat was bland and average. No bacon, no sausages, no baked beans. We went for the first 3 days, ate mostly eggs and kids had jam on toast. Had some noodles and tried most things but usually cold and/or bland. Two days after we walked in to look if anything had changed to find it was still bland strange foods and lacking choices and walked straight back out. Never went back again, and bought breakfast elsewhere. This was the worst part of our stay here and went to neighbouring resorts for a much better breakfast. Had read similar reviews, but the resort fit well for our family/stay.
