Lovely little hotel. Good location the Christchurch if driving. Everyone was friendly and the room was a lovely. Comfortable with my little dog. Comfy bed and bedding. Lovely breakfast.
Few little housekeeping issues but too minor to make a fuss. Need to check roller blinds as in use dead insects fell out which was a little gross. But overall room and bathroom felt nice and clean.

breakfast good, good location
restaurant menu, wanted something other than a salad to be healthy, wanted to swap the fish, which they were sold out of, for a chicken breast, but they couldnt do that, had to choose something else, which i didnt enjoy, its very hard to find healthy food, other than salads, new potatoes or a jacket, would be nice, and not all the dressings and saucesl

The room was lovely and the bathroom and shower great. It was all very clean. Some of the staff were fantastic, namely the manager (possibly kiwi accent) she was lovely, and slightly older brunette lady with glasses who checked us in was also great
Food on the menu at dinner was absolutely fantastic and great value
Male bar staff member was a bit rude. Seemed to not want to serve some customers. The manager even seemed surprised we weren’t being served at one point at the bar
There was also a taller female member of staff at breakfast who looked miserable and not very friendly
Breakfast- this was a bit of a let down I’m sorry to say. It was okay but nothing exceptional. Service was very slow. Waited 15 mins for a coffee and was not offered a refill, there was no one to ask and then there wasn’t time
Water in the room - the hotel has a reusable bottle policy which is great. A small bottle of tap water was in the room and this was for two adults meaning half a glass each. This could be made a bigger bottle or two out in the room. One for two adults was not nearly enough and considering this is tap water could be done with no extra cost. We were very thirsty at 5am

Lovely place to stay. Lots of really nice touches throughout. Loved the dog gift box & water bowl left in the room for us.

Breakfast buffet and freshly cooked English breakfast or hot alternatives. Luxurious accommodation, easy and plentiful parking . Quiet but easy to find, lovely staff always cheerful.
A few more menu choices as to much fish for our liking

Breakfast was amazing, staff were lovely, room was excellent. The best thing was how dog friendly they are, nothing too much trouble and even a little welcome parcel. Was just lovely. Will stay again.
Nothing.

We had Duncliffe Room, in the attic area. Ensuite was light and had Bramley toiletries with powerful shower and bedroom had Nespresso machine, huge comfy bed, with full length mirror and Bluetooth Marshall radio. Wonderful staff included Mama Bear Manageress, Deputy Manager who excuded charm and can-do attitude and absolutely made our Stay and Southbourne beach guy who served us on the first day and was really friendly. Also, Newspapers in Bar area, fantastic decking and massive Carpark. Attention to detail in this place is key. We had fish and chips in restaurant, best ever. The breakfasts were delightful and so many thanks to this Chef, who is obviously brilliant.
There was nothing we didn't like. Even though we had a great deal with Booking.com I can imagine the price reflects the quality of the place so is well deserved and we couldn't begrudge the prices of food or drinks.

We arrived Sunday evening and were checked in by very friendly staff who made us feel welcome. We then came down for drinks and food which were both good. Our room was very comfy with good facilities and breakfast in the morning was tasty.

The breakfast is freshly cooked so very nice, good atmosphere in the bar area and helpful staff .Nice bedrooms and shower.
The evening dinner menu is quite short and would be nice to have more basic meals like fish and chips etc

Friendly and helpful staff, and excellent service. Good selection for breakfast and very relaxed.
Nothing to dislike. The food was very good, but mostly quite rich - it would be nice if the dinner menu included one or two simpler options.
