Nice and clean, friendly staff
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.
9.0
I love the hostel and staff were so helpful and friendly .I will definitely come back . The location is just so peaceful and interesting.
I really enjoy staying in amongst history and nature
Only reason I reduced the facilities score was that the heating on first night was unbelievably hot and sleep was difficult . This was a problem for many guests . staff explained their issues with the boiler system , offered fans and thankfully turned it off for rest of our stay.
I hope the heating system can be upgraded as it seems such a hassle for staff to cope with , waste of money for the hostel and not great for environment .
Wifi didn't work on my phone consistently but luckily it was OK for my niece so she was able to sort it.

Continental breakfast was OK. Cooked breakfast was cold.
The hostel was a great way for yhe kids to meet other people.
Good value for money.
Sleeping in bunk beds was fun for the whole family.
I would have liked the bathroom to be cleaned before we arrived.
Booking.com advertised the room with a double and 2 bunk beds. There are no double beds in this hostel.

Staff was really friendly, nice to have all you need at yha, breakfast was nice, and great to be given free parking on site.
WiFi signal from our room was hardly any signal and pillows really need changing as so hard to sleep as they are not comfortable pillows

Nice breakfast. Small glasses for OJ.
External floodlight lit the room until 3am

Easy parking excellent value for money room was basic but clean and comfortable and warm. All staff were very helpful and friendly. It was great to have breakfast and evening meals available and there was even a small bar. For our purposes...a motorcycle tour ...it was spot on
The only thing missing for us was some kind of wardrobe or storage in the room

Very clean, great staff
Needs WiFi in the room as o had no signal and when the children were with Grandma off sight that was a concern.
Disappointed that there were not en-suite rooms.

We had a room which was expensive, very clean and it is a lovely building but it is not a cheap alternative and there is no tea or coffee provided in the room the hostel is suitable for a large group sharing a dormitory then it is reasonably priced.
The staff, the woman on duty was brusque and not very helpful, the young man was very helpful. It took about 20 minuets to find the TV zapper in the lounge. It was clean, a beautiful building.

Great location for Iron Bridge and surrounding areas. Good facilities in the hostel with kitchen and games room.
Noisy with other guests going in and out off other rooms.

Great location for visiting museums. Friendly staff. Convenient that you could get breakfast and meals if you wanted to or use the kitchen. Great games room. Kids naturally congregated here and could make friends.
I felt that they were a bit understaffed. I'd have paid a bit more for the room if it meant staff were less stretched. Having said that the place was very clean and we enjoyed our meals so the staff were very hardworking.

Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean rooms and bonus to have a cafe serving breakfast lunch and dinner. Games room for children was great and location of hostel was perfect. Would definitely stay again.

she didn’t want to help us getting a cab and was quite condescending

Great place for family and friends, or just for walkers staying in the area.
Loved that you can eat there too or if you want to cook for yourself that is also an option.
Tip top games room. Relaxing area.
We just could not fault the experience.

Staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful, especially under current circumstances with COVID, they were all working extremely hard to continuously sanitise handles, shower rooms etc. I would definitely recommend & return
