Breakfast was good with plenty of variety
There is a nice bar to enjoy a drink with friendly staff.
There is a heated pool in the well maintained gardens.
The room was very comfortable.
The staff were friendly and helpful
Our room was at the back of the hotel and unfortunately at 6:45am the kitchen fan started which was quite noisy and it was too warm to have the window closed.

The public areas of the hotel, the dining room, the veranda and gardens are all superb. We enjoyed our breakfasts (except for the poor quality coffee) and the waiting staff were very friendly and efficient. The food at dinner was good but let down by the lack of variety.
Sandwich choices for lunch need more variety as very few choices and menu did not change in the week were were there (same for the dinner menu). The big disappointment was our room which was quite small and dark which overlooked the top of the kitchen and the constant noise of the extractors? completely spoiled our stay. It started at 7 am and went on until about 9.30 pm. My husband is not too well and wanted a rest during the afternoon but this was made very unpleasant. We asked to move rooms but were told we could not. We were offered a "small" discount but this just did not compensate for a week of this horrid noise. No chance of a lay in - woken up at 7 every morning. An expensive week's holiday ruined by this unacceptable room. Please make sure you avoid room 17. See photo of the "room 17 view from window".

The hotel had an old fashioned charm and excellent customer service. The meals were good and the grounds encouraged you to sit and have a quiet moment
Initial parking was a bit interesting!

Location was fine..
Food portions are too small. I have had better breakfasts in hotels less expensive. And the cost of my lamb rump dinner was excessive for the small portions served.
Also, the TV was small, and the channel selections available were poor and limited in number. I like news and good movies, but couldn't find much of that at your hotel..

Convenient parking spot as I have mobility issue. The hotel vicinity is a bit hilly, but the views are glorious. Charming and capable staff all around. Very helpful. The conservatory and a comfortable bar area for relaxing.Lift access to room.
Decor stylish.
The restaurant dinner menu was very exciting. Good quality food beautifully served.
But,perhaps an option of a less rich choice would be advantageous.
Excellent breakfast choices. Also, light bites on offer during the day.

The breakfast was very good and the staff very friendly.
The dinner was also very good although not a huge choice.
We sat down for dinner and we’re then told that we shouldn’t be there at that time and we’d have to wait around 15-30 minutes before we could order. We felt like naughty school kids! I also objected to us being called ‘lovelies’. This is a very expensive hotel and guests should be treated with more respect.
