Pretty location away from busy parts of Margaret River. Accommodation was private and comfortable, perfect for alone times.
Would strongly recommend this to friends.
carpark a fair distance from room.

We loved the location and the room. We especially loved the grounds and watching the wildlife. The room had everything we needed.
A little more attention to cleaning would make the stay even nicer.

the retreat was great and picturesque. We were not sure what about the style of accommodation that we booked but were pleasantly surprised. the accommodation was clean and had everything that we needed,
the bathroom is a little bit small but it was sufficient for the overnight stay.
4.1
Comfortable Airbnb-style accommodation set In beautiful grounds, close to Margaret River Town, wineries and beaches.
The common areas in the homestead are a little spartan and lacking in ambience.

Its quite expensive

location
room very basic only one chair in room designed for two. toilet seat broken appeared to be designed for elderly or handicapped. electrical flex to lamps connected with electricians tape, a healthand safety risk. expensive for a basic room.

Very pretty grounds in a lovely old home that’s has been renovated for the comfort of guests. Loved that the fireplace was lit each afternoon in the cooler weather. And perfectly located just off Caves Road to explore the Margaret River region. You will need a car as it’s a few km’s out of MR.

Amazing stay! This was the second time to Gilgara. Sometime between our first and second stay, it change ownership, but I have to say nothing was too much effort for the caretakers.
We stayed 6 nights for my partners 50th birthday. I had arranged a few things to be delivered to the apartment before our arrival along with a small bunch of balloons that needed to be collected. Jenny was only to happy to pick these up for me. It was all beautifully arranged in our apartment for our arrival.
The apartment was clean and comfortable and all amenities provided.
The kitchenette was poorly designed but still functional.

It was a beautiful quiet spot.
The bed was very very uncomfortable and so were the pillows. Unfortunately this was a huge let down and we wouldn't come back to stay.

This is the second time we have stayed at Gilgara in a garden villa. We love the tranquility of Gilgara and both times our villa has been very clean, neat and tidy.

Great location and pretty grounds
Quite dirty
Very thin walls

The size of the apartment, unique layout, surrounded by nature and animals and seclusion from neighbours. Easy login to the wifi and use of the spa. Close to Margaret River town and Prevally/Gracetown. Primo spot to get around.
Under the bed has not been cleaned. There was a thick layer of dust and found old pairs of socks that didn't belong to us.

Beautiful location. Very quiet.

Marble bathroom.
No welcoming at all, we didn't see anyone from the staff at all.
Other guests of the main house were noisy.
You have to choose between privacy and day light in the room.
4.1
location and garden
room very small
bed uncomfortable
not clean at all

A Beautiful quiet location with large open spaces and mature trees. The garden and surrounding areas are well kept and neat. Centrally located to tour both the southern and northern areas of Margaret River.
Poor noise insulation, not sure is just through the door or wall or ceiling.
4.1
The location. The decor, the gardens.
Bathrooms could have been cleaner. We didn't like the fact two single beds were pushed together, we were expecting a king bed, also would have been handy if the key could lock the outside door. A tv in the bedrooms would have really made it perfect.
4.1
It’s a quiet place
Rooms too small, no electric water jug for tea in the rooms

Lovely calm location

Friendly staff, lovely cosy stay with fire, well presented good value for money and great location. Friendly and helpful staff.
The first night we arrived the power in our room cut out repeatedly. I had to get up a few times to turn it back on. It would have been okay but because the heater kept cutting out, and because it hadn't been on before we arrived, our room was very cold the first night! It was fixed the second and was much better.
4.1
No need to check in or check out
Beautiful surrounds and great location.
The apartment was beautiful and clean.
Cold floors, I suggest to bring slippers
TV is a bit out dated but thats being picky! The shower head wasn’t the best and the water temp was a bit cold but again, minor issues
