Satisfactory.

I have been here before many times so I knew what to expect. The staff are excellent and the facilities are comfortable for tourists or people working in Port Vila for a short time.

The wifi continues to be very poor and this makes it difficult to do web-based work. But great if you are on holiday and need a good excuse to go offline for a while.

The Melanesian

Staff were so amazing, helpful and just beautiful people . Clean rooms. Loved the shampoo and conditioner and body wash supplied it was gorgeous. Bar staff were lovely and helpful making lovely cocktails yummm.

There wasn't anything I disliked. The people are amazing

Great to be back in Vila

The Melanesian is a lovely place in a great location, wonderful to see Port Vila getting back into gear so soon after the terrible hardships of the last three years. Most of the staff are very professional and welcoming, food good, pleased to be back

Roll away bed for third person, thought it had 3 beds, rollaway wasn't indicated and small for adult

Warming and attentive people . Location was very good for me. The room had everything necessary and in very good conditions.

Breakfast is somewhat limited but good. The soup they serve is good . Internet access is weak. Gave up and relied on purchased mobile data.

Compareed to when I stayed last year in August 2022 post covid, the hotel looks like it has been renovated and better maintained. I like the idea they let the customer know they are trying to save water.

They canceled our booking, even though we made it to Vanuatu - Air Vanuatu only has 1 plane so if it needs fixing youre out of luck, that was us

A Most Enjoyable Overnight Stay.

The staff are extremely friendly. Refreshing glass of juice to welcome you. Loved the pool area. Nice breakfast. I liked having a bath in the rooms. Excellent Italian food restaurant that is used as the venue for breakfast. The bed was highlight.

The TV didn't seem to work or perhaps I just couldn't figure out how to work it.

Easy, no fuss and very pleasant

we only stayed a couple of nights. it had aircon, a nice big balcony overlooking the pool and the breakfast was pretty good too. the staff was most helpful and friendly.

there was no bottle opener in the room. those tusker bottles are a bugger to open with your teeth 😝

The location was good for walking into town.

The hotel is tired and run down. The rooms and bed were good. The pool was green. It certainly did not look like the photos. No bars were open for poolside dining or beverages.

Great location, super helpful and friendly staff, spacious , comfortable and clean rooms. we didn’t get the chance to go into the pool, but the pool and pool area looked nice and clean.

Would’ve loved a slightly bigger breakfast spread eg. eggs but enjoyable nonetheless.

Wifi internet access was not available in our room for the furarion of our stay. The cost for our booking period was about double the cost for the same stay if we had booked on our arrival
