Friendly Staff, good choice for breakfast. Room comfortable with a lovely sea view.
Wasn't able to add meals & drinks to the room. Food had to be paid for at the bar.

The staff are what makes this hotel feel special. Great sense of humour! And good beer in the bar.
The stairs are steep for a 90yo. Didn't seem so hard 40 years ago!

Location superb- we were able to get secure parking behind the hotel, and breakfast and overall comfort and service was excellent

Good atmosphere, friendly staff, food was delicious and the property was lovely and quaint
parking, although there is a 24hr parking less than hundred metres away
2.5
location bar and friendly staff
could be a bit cleaner??? bit of a revamp on the rooms maybe, surf and turf was like eating a leather sole and breakfast I asked for brown toast and mixed and then I asked for scrambled egg and got fried and I was the only one eating nothing that wouldn’t stop me coming again but would be nice if you could step up a bit on those areas. get some home made meals in too
3.5
Very good menu,
Excellent gluten free menu.
Location is excellent with superb view
The place is run to a much higher standard than the previous few years.
Accessibility is not easy, lots of steps up and down to the apartments
Radiators didn't work, no hot towels, but manager supplied fresh ones
3.5
The room was large and clean and the bathroom was clean with a good shower. The staff were particularly friendly, especially Barry in the restaurant / bar
no attached car park
quite expensive

3.5
lovely location, well appointed spacious room, friendly staff, clean & comfortable beds, nice decor in bedrooms, provided with extra tea/coffee making items on request at no charge, ample breakfast & evening meal with very helpful waiters
very steep winding stairs to bedroom (but not unusual for an old property), no toilet roll holder in bathroom, dust & cobwebs in bedroom
3.0
the view from the front of the property is stunning and the staff were friendly
a bit tired looking and could do with a bit of tlc
car parking would be a problem at busy times.

The greeting was lovely and staff were very friendly
There was a stain on the bed sheet and the TV needed a better fixing

The place was amazing
The times and food were amazing

Lovely large room with a sea view
The staff were friendly, but didn't seemed to know you were a resident. Few dark hairs in the bathroom (not ours)
3.5
The location is great, being close to the pay and display car park around the corner. The sea views are excellent from the front rooms and the terrace they have opposite. The bar and restaurant were very cosy which would be great in the winter.
It’s looking very tired both inside and out. I can only imagine it’s a shadow of its former self. There didn’t appear to be many staff on either considering it was a bank holiday, and paying for drinks seemed to be a very long winded process which slowed things down even further.

Friendly staff
Car parked in front if window obscuring Sea view. To be fair reception said if we had told them they would have asked the guests to move it.

location excellent - this was our second stay in ten years
the food on offer for vegetarians was v limited - I expected them to ask me if they were able to cook me something simple like a pasta or a risotto, but I was told what was on the menu was what they could offer. customer is certainly not king these days
4.0
It was cosy and clean and warm
The room and corridors were a bit small

Location is excellent and a handful of the staff were really pleasant, especially a young girl who had only been there for less than a month.
Food was very greasy. Bar service poor, at times rude and unhelpful, manager sloppy and unkempt. So many of the clients ended up having free glasses of wine because they had complained. Manager unable to handle complaints and ended up shouting uncontrollably.

The food was AMAZING - so so good, with lovely vegetarian options and the best veggie breakfast I've ever had!
Really lovely staff and a great atmosphere, even though they were short-handed on the evening.
Nothing. This was a great place to stay and we'll definitely be back.

The breakfast was superb. I thoroughly enjoyed the Cockles and laverbread. What a treat. We didn't have an evening meal, but could see that the food coming out of the kitchen looked very good.
Unfortunately there was a fridge or fan of somesort in the bar underneath our bedroom. This kept cutting in and out every 10 minutes or so during the night which was very disturbing as, not only could it be heard, but the vibrations could be felt through the pillow.

Great location, large size living area with sizeable bathroom with bath and shower. It was great to have parking next to Hyde apartments.Excellent views of the estuary . Great food at the Penhelig very helpful and courteous staff.
Some of the furnishings in both the apartment and pub could do with replacing. Outside seating area used to be more appealing. Some TLC and a good sprucing up required.

Loved the location, the view from our suite was amazing and the one issue we had (a window wouldn’t shut) was promptly dealt with by Alisha. Fantastic stay with my family right in the seafront.
Our original room had a broken window, however it was dealt with very effectively by Alisha. Excellent

Good view of the estuary and good choice of drinks
Bedroom was cramped and uncomfortable with hardly any circulation space. The room was hot and noisy from the road so didn't sleep well and left early. The small size of the bed is not comfortable for 2 people. The hotel rate is overpriced and expensive for what you get.
2.5
The staff were friendly
The bar needs refurbishing . The stairs to the room need sorting - they had the feel of an old seaside B nB .
Breakfast bar a bit sad - once again old B N B
Assitant mgr - needs a makeover / smartening up
5.0
Situated right on the water. The hotel has great food and drink.
