The setting was very rural
The owner is so rude. She can’t speak English and our Spanish is quite basic but we tried to speak Spanish and she huffed and puffed about everything we asked for - like the welcome drink!
She accused me of breaking her toaster and was complaining the kids had wrecked her drawers which when we went into the room, there was nothing on the drawers. They have 4 old dogs that are chained up and they bark throughout the night. Our room was damp and it rained when we were there and the sheets felt damp. We had to leave a day early as my father in law is very seriously ill and she was very unsympathetic, shouting at my daughter. We had 14 days in Galicia and loved it. It was a shame this hotel really was the worst part of our holiday as I really thought it would be great. The pool is nothing like the pictures, it’s homemade and we weren’t sure how hygienic is was. There is a walk near the hotel where you can swim in a river which was lovely. The hotel could be great, the owner seemed to get on ok with the Spanish speakers but not sure why she was not so keen on us!

Second time we have been and we have already booked again for next year. It is a little corner of paradise. More rain had fallen this year so the spring fed swimming pool was full so we swam every morning and most afternoons. We hired ebikes for a couple of days from https://ebikecompostela.es/en/ and that was brilliant as they delivered and picked up to the hotel. Breakfast was lovely on the terrace and Teresa is a wonderful Hostess. We also got a taxi down in to Pobra one evening and that was 6 euros each way.

The house and setting are gorgeous and you can tell the owners have put a lot of love into it.
We would have liked to have more time to explore the vineyard.

This place is just magical, fabulous location, fantastic rooms which are all quite unique and distinct. The breakfast is wonderful, really sets you up for the day. We loved the dogs who live here, the wine that is made here.
It was perfect

Nice and friendly couple in their 70s are the owners of the big property. They grow grapes and make wine. They have 4 sweet large dogs on the property. Nice areas to walk. Teresa prepared a simple breakfast with lemonade, filtered coffee and toast. She served a few cherries which was nice. Would have been nice with an egg even if it was hard boiled and earl grey tea
The bed and pillows. Not sure what it is about spaniards and their hard beds with old style springs... and their hard polyester pillows. On top of that, we stayed in an upper room. Middle of June with hot and humid weather. No Air conditioning. You have to open the windows to allow a breeze through and then the concert of the dogs barking all night. I believe it might be the location of the upper room.. not sure. So you close the windows and sweat.. still can hear the dogs. Bring ear plugs if in the upper room. Regardless.. no sleep.
This is a country home so there will be a lack of internet in your room and the tv sometimes cannot get certain channels... which isn't an issue unless it rains or you need to perform business online. Which is what happened. I had to sit next to the modem in the living room for a needed zoom meeting... and then still cut off. Oh well. That will teach me.
They highlight one specific room on Booking... that would be the room to stay in if you decide to go here.
Not sure why there were dried up, dead flowers in our room.
Last item is that we tried 3 different cards to pay since you are not able to pay on Booking for this property. We ended having to use our last bit of cash to pay for the two rooms. Plan on bringing cash.
I think overall Teresa is a really nice lady, does her best, but for my taste I would like hotel managers/owners to listen more than they talk. Especially for breakfast, I would like quiet time with family. I enjoyed dealing with Paco but not sure how involved he is in the day to day running of the place.

I was visiting this amazing place with a friend and we fell in love with the spot, the hospitality of the owners and the beauty of the surroundings! I definitely recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to discover peaceful, authentic, amazing hidden gem in the woods of Galicia! It's quite close to the small town if you travel by car, where you may find a couple of nice restaurants as well as a long beach. But if you keen to unite with the nature, try some delicious Spanish wines and enjoy the company of interesting story-tellers you might stay at the hotel and explore it's territory. Loved every minute I spent there! Definitely will come back!
