Location is very good. I would stay here again in an upgraded room if the price was right.

Good location to shops and restaurants. Large pool and nice surrounding area. It does have a swim up bar (not my preference) Food is very good at the restaurant, but a little on the pricey side.

Our Standard room was located too close to the front of the resort. Nights were VERY noisy from the adjoining bar / restaurant. Loud music which carried through to the rooms to midnight. I would not recommend these rooms. Standard room bathrooms shared the shower and toilet. Toilet got wet making it unusable for a period of time. Rooms are small but adequate. No tea / coffee making facilities.

Very Relaxing & Enjoyable...

The swimming pool was excellent with a roomy swim-up bar & plenty of lounge beds & umbrellas (although 1 was broken). The location is excellent as it's about half-way between Kuta & Legian centres, there's lots of restaurants & bars close by & the beach is only about a 15-20 minute walk away.

The room was very comfortable however some fittings/electricals are getting a bit worn, the shower took quite a long time to warm up sometimes & lots of water escapes the shower/bath recess & ends up on the bathroom floor & quite slippery...

No coffee/really making facilities in room. There was no where to put clothes in the bathroom and everything got wet. No cushions on outdoor seats.

Brilliant time at Matahari

Everything so clean, location excellent, Staff & Management brilliant, felt safe all the time & food at Matahari fantastic

As I am 70 year old, I did find it difficult to walk up to reception desk with "no hand rails" & a few other guest that we met that depended on a "walking stick" felt the same.

It was a connecting room and when the connecting room was occupied it was like the occupants were in my room. Poor soundproofing.

Peace and quiet as soon as you enter the property, but still close to the hustle and bustle of Legia

A traditional Balinese hotel, with exceptional staff who go above and beyond to ensure your needs are met. So happy to help, have a chat and nothing is ever too much to ask. Pool is lovely with a wonderful swim up bar

A hidden gem. Beautiful staff & grounds right in the centre of it all. The pool view rooms are so quiet & a gorgeous view of the gardens.

Beautiful yard, open spaces, big breathable room, good breakfast,nice swimming pool.

Smelly mould in rooms. Air con bad position, directly facing the bed. when using shower it wets the toilet.

The room wasn't that clean something was on the sheets but as soon as we asked them they changed it immediately. The air-conditioned is verrrry old .makes unbearable noises we couldn't keep it off cuz it s hot even at night .so we ended up without any sleep for 2 nights.

enjoyable stay, friendly staff and perfect location

the pool area is great and the staff (Especially Ayu) are amazing and friendly, always smiling

our room is very old, the beds were very hard and uncomfortable, the shower and bathroom are outdated and old and the shower head does not work properly. some of the younger staff (mainly the restaurant) have difficulty understanding simple requests (language barrier most likely). there are a lot of mosquitoes due to the beautiful green gardens all over the property, unfortunately this means they get easily into the rooms in the evenings and you wake up with bites on you.

Well maintained gardens

Close to everything , bars, restaurants plenty of shopping around you and reliable money changers. In the heart of Jl Legian but tucked away with beautifully presented gardens. Friendly staff around the resort.

Pool is more warmer than others, so not very refreshing on a hot day, We booked deluxe rooms which were very basic, had no bathroom toiletries available only body wash in the shower, stepping into the shower to get body wash to wash your hands isn't practical. Also the neighbouring dog continually barked all through the night which made our 4 night stay unrestful and left resort feeling tired.

The shower, it was next to the toilet. Maybe good to hang a shower curtain between toilet and shower.
