Our host was very friendly and welcoming. Great shower with modern bathroom, bedrooms were attractive and the beds comfortable.
Breakfast was very minimal, continental with few choices, I was not asked about food allergies. Website needs updating I thought it was going to be a cooked/hot breakfast

Hospitable and charming owners, well located to explore area. Bedroom and guest lounge beautifully appointed. Extensive gardens, including alpacas.
Difficult to think of anything. Duvet was a bit heavy.

Had a lovely stay with Renee and hubby at The Summit Lodge. The weather was fantastic, very hot and Renee ensured the communal space air-con was on which was a plus for me. Also I got my wires crossed in terms of bedding but Renee arose to last minute changes and it was no problem to ensure our needs were catered to.

We were not hungry but what we had was good.
A lovely comfortable stay over accommodation.
Some more fresh fruit for breakfast.

Lovely place in the countryside for anyone who needs a break from the hectic life of the city. The position is strategic to reach more touristic destinations such as Masterton, Martinborough and Castlepoint.
The host has been really kind and available, providing information on the surrounding area. Me and my partner appreciated the provided breakfast, which included some fruits locally grown at the Lodge.

spacious, comfy room and separation of guest wing from host residence was ideal. Super welcoming and friendly hosts made us feel really welcome but also gave us our space.

We loved our stay at Summit Lodge. It was only one night - I think 2 or 3 nights would be great if you were really exploring the Wairarapa. Hosts Nigel and Sandie were friendly and helpful, with the right blend of privacy too. As the only guests, we had the guest wing to ourselves, which has a generous sized and comfortable lounge. Sandie had brownies on offer and we could make tea and coffee. The rooms are tastefully furnished and I appreciated the choice of different thickness pillows. We had a nice dinner at the local pub (delicious pork belly), which is 2 minutes away. Nigel gave us a ride there and the pub kindly returned us. Great breakfast and lovely grounds!

We really loved our weekend stay at The Summit Lodge. The bedroom was beautifully comfortable with a lovely leafy outlook. The shared living room was well set up with coffee, tea and home baking. Sandie and Nigel were terrific hosts and we enjoyed eating breakfast while we chatted to them. Sandie cooked dinner for us on our first night and the meal was delicious. They drove us to the nearby Gladstone pub the next evening, and the pub drove us home after the meal. We were able to charge our ev overnight in their garage which was helpful. We highly recommend staying here, a lovely peaceful spot with lots to do in the area- and alpacas to feed!

The home baked lemon and blueberry polenta cakes and freshly brewed coffee on arrival were fabulous! The open log fire and a warm, inviting lounge with all amenities including so much reading material!😍
Sandie and Nigel were wonderful hosts and so were the 2 cats - Winston was hilarious!

Excellent breakfasts and dinner, pleasant gardens and super-friendly pet cat, and alpacas to feed as a bonus. Arranged transport to and from Gladstone Inn for us so no need to drive after enjoying some wine with dinner.
