The bed was comfortable.
The service was terrible. Was told by one member of staff room would be ready by 2pm and then told abruptly by the owner it was 4pm. Lunch took over an hour to get to the table and was cold. Will never go back and will warn my friends.
Then was informed we had to be out of room by 10am.

The position and bedroom styling
Staff showed us to the room then went back to the reception, we went straight down to reception and asked where the bar and restaurant was only to be told it was shut and would not be opening that night, we were not informed of any of this when booking, we had to go out to eat and upon returning there was no staff on site at all which was very strange considering what could of happened in an emergency scenario, last straw nobody answered my phone calls as no access to the WiFi
No worth the prices charged versus services offered
4.3
The room was clean and spacious, reception staff were welcoming and friendly.
VERY noisy. The radiator in the room made loud gurgling noises throughout the night. My stay was during a Tuesday evening, when I arrived I was informed that the restaurant was closed and there were no breakfast facilities on site.

Location & nice Sunday lunch. Friendly & welcoming. Great service.
Bar closed at 6pm on a Sunday, I knew this before booking so it was fine, was really enjoying the bar & Sunday lunch, the staff were very knowledgeable, friendly & helpful.
4.3
The location
One hour before arriving at the advertised check in time we were called and advised that the restaurant would be closing at 4.15pm and that the bar would close at 6pm.
A very expensive night with no facilities available to us.
The room on first view was pretty but soon realised it was tired. Cups, saucers etc were dirty and everything you touched felt tacky.
I appreciate this is a dog friendly hotel bit I was advised that my particular room was not. Uncomfortably strong smell of dogs. So string that we actually went and bought a smelly candle but it didn't work.
4.3
Very spacious room, comfortable bed
A little noisy as it was located almost next the outside bar

Stay was good at hotel just a pity there was no food available.
No food available

Room was well appointed and comfortable
No presence at reception, no breakfast
4.3
Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
Room was great, very comfortable.
Excellent restaurant with great food.
Little bit expensive for not having breakfast included, but we were told booking.com don't offer breakfast in the price. There were plenty of food establishments in the town that did breakfast.
4.3
Helpful staff small but tastefully decorated room very comfortable bed and good central location
Parking could be difficult
4.3
I liked most things, on arrival though I seen a lot of young staff dragging their heels wishing they were somewhere else with a face like fizz.
This isn't a complaint as I am in the trade and unfortunately young staff don't seem to care anymore.
Room was cosy, but that weekend was hot and the room was umbare
It's not I didn't like I would have just liked a very small fridge for cold drinks
4.3
Absolutely gorgeous room with everything you would have at home.
nothing
4.3
room good
“inn hotel” bar closed , no food, (7 pm) no help up steep stairs with cases, no parking ( town car park 200 m ) Not at all the country pub/ inn I expected from the adverts .
4.3
Staff really very helpful & cheery.Room first class. Spotlessly clean.
No non slip mat in shower.

Did not have breakfast. Too expensive
The room was tired and small for the £175 ,and no breakfast .The toilet seat was broken. We have stayed there three times but not again.

The bedroom was good enough but very small for the price paid
Dinner was close to being a disaster, there were too few waiting staff, we had to wait quarter of an hour for someone to take our order, then half an hour for it to be served a meal that was mediocre at best, and a further half hour waiting to order dessert which we didn't. We had given up and decided to do without dessert. As a long time hospitality provider and Booking.com contributor I took the email confirmation for granted and didn't read all the small print, only to be turned away when we sought breakfast in the morning. I have never before come across an hotel that didn't serve breakfast.

The location, staff, service, food and being dog friendly

Comfortable room. We had just flown from Australia and so appreciated the lovely room, quiet and comfortable. Impeccably clean with a lovely bathroom.
Nothing really. The bar wasn’t open much but like everywhere, it’s due to lack of staff. We didn’t really love all the dogs in the pub but it is a dog friendly town so that makes most people happy… we are obviously in the minority.
4.3
Good location for a trip from the South to the far North. Very welcoming staff and spotless, comfortable rooms.
I didn’t realise that the bar and restaurant closed at 6pm on Sundays and breakfast was not served on Monday mornings. It wasn’t a problem as Moffat has various alternative options, but it was a surprise.
4.3
Great staff, very relaxed atmosphere. Great outdoor area with the bonus of being non smoking
Lots of choice for those who don’t want alcohol and the food was fantastic
4.3
The cosy bar and restaurant, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Absolutely loved the rooms decor. The bed was very comfy.
Loved it all, would definitely stay again.
4.3
quirky but comfortable in a fantastic location. Staff were incredibly attentive while the restaurant was also exceptional.
nothing!

Location
I arrived at 5pm to find out that the bar and restaurant was shut and that there was to be nothing opening for breakfast either. The room was very expensive so I think it should have definitely included breakfast.
there was also a bright green led light by the door in my room that you couldn’t turn off. I assume it was to show the fire exit but it was so bright it kept me up all night. to top it off my “Deluxe double bed” turned out to be two singles pushed together that kept pushing apart which was very frustrating. I had no sleep. Such a shame.

location and staff
heating didn’t work

Good sized room. Really helpful staff in the bar/restaurant, they were excellent. In centre of Moffat, handy for shops etc.. Although oldest building in Moffat (Rabbie Burns visited) room and facilities were modern. They also let me in before the official (rather late) check in time.
Price, really expensive for a single person but nothing else available in town.
4.3
Large room, great facilities, very close to town centre for shops, restaurants etc.
Expensive breakfasts

Food provision would have been useful, but understood Sunday is a rest day.
Felt a bit vulnerable as entrance was right on the street. Church bells ring every fifteen minutes

Room was modern, bright and well equipped. Great sized bathroom and shower! Staff were very helpful and accommodating, cheerful and engaging. Food was great, all around great stay.
Nothing, it was all good.
4.3
It was great from start to finish. The food was excellent and the staff deserve a special mention. The room was spotless and cosy. I really loved the bar area with the low wooden beams and comfy seats. As I said earlier all the staff were very polite and attentive. This is the third visit to the Inn and we are already looking to book for next year. Five stars all round!
There wasn't anything I didn't like or look to improve .
4.3
Good bar food and good drinks selection that was well served.
A bit expensive as a room charge that excluded breakfast.
