we could easily check in late- room was clean - nighttime was a bit noisy because of Helicopters and Zoo next door ;)
breakfast was ok
5.0
The shower was very nice and the beds were comfortable.
The internet didn't function, the breakfast didn't serve eggs, the bathroom had no soap or towels, and there was no public transportation to the facility after 1am. I could have stayed at a centrally located hotel for the same price. I would not recommend this facility.
8.0
Great locations, just across the clinics.
Very hot in the rooms, no AC.
7.0
Good staffs, good location, good facilities
Extra money was charged under the name of membership. I am not saying that Heigelberg has not many things to see but it was just a couple of nights there for me. And i will never visit Heidelberg again in my life. But why did this youth hostel charge me extra money as a membership?

Super nice breakfast, good wifi.
Staff approached to English speakers!
8.0
Clean. Friendly helpful staff. Restaurant attached. Outdoor and indoor spaces for eating and drinking. Next to the river and campus.
No cooking facilities easily accessible.

Room was really clean and nice, breakfast was also pretty good.
The location is 40-50 min walk from city center, also around 10 min by bus and buses are quite often. There is no plug near bed which is bad for charging your phone and no stove in the kitchen, only microwave. No towel and soap in the bathroom too.
1.0
Extremely poor hygiene
Room was full of insects
There was blood stain on bed sheets
The pillow had a weird awful smell
The facility is basically not a hotel. It’s a poorly organized hostel or teenage dorm!

Breakfast is great. Staff are nice.
Too many mosquitoes in the room.
5.0
Good breakfast, clean spaces and very friendly and supportive staff
For a hostel, it seems to be overpriced

I liked staying here, the staff was friendly, the room very clean and I slept well. Very good value for money.
Happy with stay.
7.0
Good infrastructure for a youth hostel, green area and lots of space. Close to the campus and zoo, but 20min by bike from the Old Town.
Cleaners banging on the door and walking in the room while I was sleeping even though I left "do not disturb" sign on the door. A bit noisy in the morning.
9.0
Liked the location, easy to take bus to the city or walk there along the river
Zoo is just on the side
For breakfast you can sit inside or outside
We could park the car directly at location without any charge
Coffee shop was closed due to covid 🤔
6.0
Big rooms, quite place next to river, free parking
They shoudl care about black spots at bathroom. I don’t like mold in the bathroom
5.0
- Breakfast was OK, nothing special or fancy, just basic.
- Room was OK, overpriced for what is there. No WIFI in the room, no soap and shampoo, no water and cups.
- Cleanliness was OK, just alright, could have been a little better.
- Staff was very nice, I can not say anything about them at all except helpful and nice.
- WIFI should be available in the rooms, I payed 60 Euros per night... Come on people, this is 2021! Hotels with single rooms overlooking the river go for 50 Euros and have WIFI and are much more accessible and have more to offer (except breakfast).
7.0
Helpful and cheerful staff. Rooms nice and clean. Breakfast included in the price.
No wifi in the rooms, only in the main hall. No sockets near beds. All the sockets were on the oposite wall or in the corner near the doors. So if you want to charge your phone or laptop you have to bring it near the opposite wall you can sit there on a chair, but you're not able to charge and use your phone while in bed. I know it may sound as a stupid and only slight disadvantage, but for me it was really anoying.
