The beachfront view and access to the beach was awesome.
Our room was okay. One sink was blocked and the aircon was spraying us as we walked around the front of our villa to go to the beach. Workers did not wanna be there or want to acknowledge that there were guests 😴 went for breakfast and a group of workers were sitting and eating while we stood there waiting to be served. Literally walked into kitchen to get someone as we could hear them having a good old chat and laugh in the kitchen. Place has a lot of potential. Just need some work on afew things and maybe need workers that actually know customer service.

Location was beautiful however the building and facilities itself could do with an uplift.
Breakfast options could be better.

Clean comfortable euro fale
My daughter liked the pool and volleyball
Breakfast
Bit rundown and the dinner was limited and pricy for what it was

The location, the access to swim with turtles at full tide and the cats.
That list is way longer I’m afraid, this place is probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed . The loo wasn’t attached to the floor, the famous rock shower in the honeymoon suite ( Isabella) just had a drain pipe with water flowing down and the handle fell off the wall.
It’s super over priced and in serious disrepair. Paint flaking, fridge freezing, rusted closed doors. The pool was green with algae and had a greasy ring around it. Sadly very disappointing. It could be a very special spot but needs a huge amount of work!

The euro fale was comfortable and had a fantastic view to the ocean. Was great having the lockable bathroom attached. Snorkelling was great - swimming with turtles in the ocean is wonderful. A very low-pressure holiday - exactly what we wanted. I've seen some bad reviews of this place recently especially on TripAdvisor, but I really can't understand them and wonder what some people expect. For us it was just right. Our 4th visit to Savaii and first time at Stephensons, would happily return.
The food was a little repetitive. A shame there wasn't more fish available, but our last night there we had fresh snapper cooked perfectly, a great meal to finish on.

The location was excellent, the breakfast was generous, fun staying in a traditional fale with benefit of own bathroom. Swimming in sea and pool great. An authentic samoan experience.

It’s a beautiful location and the staff is very helpful and friendly making you feel welcome. View is just perfect.
We had an open fale with shower.
Fridge was very smelly and needs a clean, the fly net had many holes.

The staff were great. Good hire equipment.lovely lagoon to snorkel kayak and swim.
Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great for staying in a fale and mosquitoes were on the hunt! After talking to management about this they upgraded us to a Villa for the rest of our stay,
Some maintenance required around the complex

Location was good but property run down and unclean rooms
Room kitchen facilities were old and dirty doors to outside had huge gaps under them beds and were old and curtains were hung on pieces of string hard to make staff understand as limited English once again place needs lots of maintenance

Breakfast was. Just adequate the shower had only cold water while I was there & did not get fixed Savii was beautyful hardly any tourists yet well worth the ferry ride across

Good location and very pleasant resort with real potential.
Room felt unfinished: we had a fan but nowhere to plug it, and a fridge and kettle in the bathroom (!) but had to unplug one to use the other.
We were told breakfast would be at 8, which is late for Samoa, especially as some of the activities start at 9. Most of the guests were ready at 8 but the food started to arrive only about 8:15 and the coffee at 8:30. When it arrived it was generous, but simply much too late.

The friendly restaurants and bar staff.
The deluxe fale at Stevenson's did not deliver the experience we had anticipated base on the booking. com photos and descriptions.
The facilities are bit dilapidated and need a refresh. We didn't have hot water for our fale, nothing changed after we notified staff, no follow up either. We were awkened our first night when staff entered our fale by mistake.
You can see staff are playing pool at the guest facilities, it appears the professionlism and customer service standards at Stevenson's are bit behind other similar priced accommodation s.

Not overly busy. Good pool and easy access to the sea for swimming.
Needs TLC since lock down. Suggest they reduce room rates to increase occupancy to fund renos.

Friendly bar staff. Nice pool deck overlooking the ocean, especially during sunset.
Bathroom’s dirty and had many maintenance issues. I booked 3 fales with private bathrooms and each room had the same problem. Shower drain never drained the water, so you had to stand in a pool of yucky water every time you showered (stayed 2 nights and the water never drained at all). Toilet had flushing issues in every fale, as well as toilet in one of the fales was so wobbly, it felt like it was going to tip over whenever you used it. Not to mention, the toilet bowl in each room was so stained brown it looked like it hadn’t been scrubbed in years. Bathroom sink had draining issues as well. At one point, the water coming out of the bathroom sink was brown (the brown stain on the bath towel is the gunk from inside the sink once I wiped it). Food was very average, especially for the price you pay.

The fales were lovely with a modern touch with bathroom attached. Service at restuarant for meal and breakfast was exceptional.
We booked 3 fales. We occupied Fale 1. This fale was right next to kitchen and bar area. There was a group attending a funeral and wake who kept us awake until 2.30am. They also used the path between our fale and kitchen area to urinate rather than using the bathroom which was not located just past our fale.

Location was very good, staff were very nice.
The beach fale bathrooms could be better. They had a mini fridge, kettle and hot drink station set up literally by the toilet.

The food from the main bar and the staff. The niu(coconut) was the best I had in Samoa and I had plenty of niu around the island. Andrea and his team were very lovely and attentive to our needs for both dinner and breakfast.
The bathroom in villa 2. The shower head was hard to adjust and kept spraying in the direction of the door behind us which meant we had to move further away from the shower head and right up against the wall which was uncomfortable.

Absolutely loved our stay a Stevensons. Definitely nice to get away from the busy Capital of Samoa. Savaii is the island to be for a relaxing time away from urban city.
Food menu was limited.

The beachfront location
The whole resort was poorly maintained and dirty, staff were unmotivated and it seemed like they didn't care. There was very few staff and the place was deserted and very untidy and unhygenic. The rooms were poor maintained, dirty and many things were broken or needing replaced. My son got bites from bed bugs during the night. We left without completing our stay as felt very uncomfortable. We paid a premium rate and the experience was worse than a backpackers. It was more expensive than all the other resorts! and definitely not worth the money.

After an almost 3 year hiatus, Samoa has reopened its borders and so the hotels and accomodations are starting to get back on their feet. However I can assure you that our time in Stevensons couldn't be lovelier. The rooms are super comfortable (with an amazing AC which is crucial for that warm weather!!). The staff couldn't be nicer and did their absolute best to make us feel like at home. Andrea, the manager is incredible! Food from the bar was great as well as the cocktails!

We stayed in a standard waterfront villa that was located just in front of the beach. Property fully fulfills the “western” standards while keeping the traditional local culture spirit. Rooms are modern designed, with samoan accents. Staff does a great job by doing everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There are kayaks free of charge available close to the pool bar. Food was also very good.
When booking we were a bit concerned about the “outdoor shower” in the description. Indeed there is an outdoor shower, but it is an addition to normal indoor bathroom, so you can wash the salty water and sand after beach before entering the villa.
Air conditioning remote was not working, but the air conditioner itself was working and was set at temperature of 24 C. It was good, no need to change, especially during the night.
We went to the resort during the low season and we were lucky to have almost all of it for ourselves. However keep in mind that the beach is not very big, so during the top season it can be quite crowded.
