Absolutely the only problem we had was that the pontoon boat wasn’t working, and it took until Wednesday to get it running. Otherwise, it was an absolutely lovely, relaxing, and perfect location for a family of 11 ages 8-77.

This house was the best place our large family has ever stayed in. The recent interior renovation is great. The space was good for our group of 15 large adults and five children. There is so much for all to do with the lake, boat, resort amenities, restaurants, and Chimney Rock.

We are all ages and there are 20 of us and we all had a great time. The house accommodated us all and the game room was so much fun for everyone

Being on the lake front with access to the amenities and golf course within the resort set this property apart. The house renovations were spectacular and homey. Would stay here over and over again!

This is a vacation that my whole family looks forward to every year. Greystone Manor has been updated beautifully and is the perfect house for a family reunion or a multiple family get together. The Lake is gorgeous and the house provides everything you need for a relaxing and fun get away. I highly recommend!

This house is the perfect place for a large family getaway. We had 13 including 6 kidddos ages 7-14 (cousins). The amenities of the Rumbling Bald club make this place even more spectacular! The house is HUGE with plenty of rooms for everyone. It’s cozy if you want to all hang together, but offers separate spaces if the kids want their own play area. We could not have asked for a nicer home for our annual family vacation. We will be back for sure!!

Our family stayed in this beautiful home to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. It could not have been nicer. The house is located on Lure Lake and has grand views from inside, as well as from the large decks on every level. Two game rooms, two kitchens, and two laundry room were much appreciated by our large group. We loved the pontoon boat and golf carts, as well, and enjoyed the community pool, courts, and workout facilities. None of us tried the golf course, which was also nearby. Fishing, skiing, hiking, and games all added to our great week. Highly recommend!

This home is simply amazing! The remodeled main and upper levels were stunning. We had 16 adults staying at the house for our wedding in Lake Lure. The new kitchen was designed perfectly to have several people cooking together and was stocked with everything we could possibly need. Having a 2nd kitchen and refrigerator was an added bonus too. Two laundry rooms too!
The great thing about the home is there were several indoor and outdoor spaces where we could all gather together, but also options to break off for some privacy to read or nap on the massive decks.
Our group loved fishing from the docks and everybody enjoyed cruising around the lake on the pontoon boat. In fact, the guys all traveled to our wedding at Lake Lure on the boat!
Cindy went above and beyond to take care of us. When a bad storm took out the power for the entire lake area, she went to multiple stores to buy lanterns, flashlights and candles - and even offered to bring us pizza! But even with the power out for 1 day, we could still cook on the gas stove in the downstairs kitchen or the 2 grills outside.
Without hesitation I highly recommend this gorgeous home for your stay on Lake Lure - you will not be disappointed!

We couldn’t have been more thrilled with this beautiful, huge, thoughtfully provisioned house in the best location on the lake!!!
There was nothing we could want for in terms of kitchen supplies, equipment, spices, baby provisions (high chairs, porta crib etc), even spices.
Our 3 generation family group ranged from 1 to 65 in age, and all agreed this was our best find ever. We loved being so conveniently located to the amenities of the country club, and the pool with zero entry area and lazy river was a hit with all. And the pontoon boat! Getting up in the early morning, taking a little jaunt just the 2 or us, or our whole crew of 8 …. It was lovely to have this boat available.
The house itself was so wonderful. So many times, when we’ve rented a house with lots of bedrooms and baths, “someone” gets stuck with the tiny little bedroom with a tinier bath. Not here!! My husband and I had first choice and honestly couldn’t decide which to take. All had stunning, peaceful views, direct access to the beautiful lakeside porch, and all the rooms were HUGE. All of them!!!! The youngest couple (25) in our family typically gets stuck with the least attractive option and there simply wasn’t one. All rooms were roomy and beautiful, baths all large, and very luxurious.
Around Lake Lure, we visited both Burnt shirt and Parker Binns Wineries, enjoyed live music at both, and saw Chimney Rock, all maybe 25 minutes away.
The owners are extremely attentive and couldn’t be nicer.
Wow. We are so grateful to have found Greystone.

Three generations. We traditionally go to the beach, but came to Lake Lore during Covid to be more secluded. We loved it! This house accommodated all of us very comfortably with room to spare. The pictures on the listing don’t do it justice. The updates are fantastic- we loved this house and it’s location inside the Rumbling Bald club complex. Thanks to the owner and property manager as they were very responsive when needed (which was only once). We will definitely be back! Thank you!

This was a fantastic house with plenty of room and very clean. The Manager of the House was great to work with, she was quick to answer questions. She even stopped at the house when we first arrived to show us around and explained different features. The pontoon boat and dock area was great, everyone enjoyed swimming, fishing and relaxing there. Having access to Rumbling Bald Resort was an added plus although we did not use it much because the house was so great to use and had plenty of entertainment for us. Definitely a place we would use again!

Needed plenty of space for multigenerational family reunion that had things to do for younger ones while being nice enough for older ones, and this place was perfect!

We visited and checked out the property 2x since it was our 50th anniversary and our family was coming from CA (11) and SLC (4). We saw the before and after of the renovations of the upper 2 floors. It very good before but is now amazing with the changes made. We all loved the upper kitchen (be ready for the latest in technology and convenience), the bathrooms (many) were appealing to the eye and functional, the 2 washers and dryers were very useful and the outside tables perfect for meals with amazing views.
The lakeside location is perfect! It it situated near the end of one of the lakes 'fingers"t and thus is much quieter from boat and ski traffic which we appreciated,. The sunrises and sunsets were amazing. We ate all our family meals on the middle deck which were christened the Greystone bistro. Our grandchildren LOVED using the guest passes to play putt putt golf, the older played basket ball, and the mothers took the youngest to the very shallow and safe Rumbling Bald beach. Everyone was delighted to take a pontoon boat ride around the lake (filling the tank was easy at the Lake lure marina). Several of us fished and caught bass, crappie and brim. The trout were rising in early morning and at dusk, but eluded us, Can you tell we had a great time. Our family is close and vacations together when we can. Al rated this as the best ever, which includes Yellowstone, Montana Lodge, New Hampshire lakes, etc. We've high standards but are low maintenance and this suited us PERFECTLY.

This home is huge and well designed for a large group. Newly updated with fabulous kitchen for cooking meals, all basics provided including spices, paper products, and cooking utensils. Plenty of pots/pans, dishes, towels, seating, comfortable beds. The porch bathroom is a perfect idea. The pontoon boat was wonderful to spend days out on the water. Highly recommend this property for your group. Owner and manager very responsive and accommodating for our family.

The beautiful home provided a large enough setting for my entire family to spend the holiday together. We are already planning for next Christmas to spend it either here or another location due mainly to the fact of the professional and courteous communication with the owner and the wonderful time we had together. We would definitely recommend!

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Our very large party arrived at various times and I think every time a new set arrived they commented, "Wow! This house is HUGE!" It is absolutely perfect for a large group and lends itself well to hosting extended friends and family.
The view is unbeatable! Even the teens were coming out onto the decks in the mornings and evenings to enjoy the tranquility and beauty. The hot tub was clean and lovely and we gathered around the firepit more than once to roast marshmallows and wind down after our outings to all the nearby activities.
Some of the other reviews noted that the home decor was dated but it was certainly clean and tasteful. Some rejuvenation will only add to the charm.
Cindy was quick and responsive to any messages we sent.

Liz and I stayed at the Greystone Manor for our wedding weekend at Rumbling Bald Resort. This house is amazing, and we highly recommend it! We hosted a few of our bridesmaids and Groomsmen, and virtually everyone had there own room. Everything you could think of is on site, from high chairs and pack and plays, to a hot tub, golf carts, grills, and endless tables and chairs with the best view on the lake. Having 2 separate kitchens and a commercial ice maker is also amazing. The host was extremely accommodating and responsive making Liz and I feel right at home on what can be a stressful weekend. We will 100% be back here for a vactation in the future.

The house was amazing for our large extended family. We all had a wonderful time. If we can get back we will book this place again. The owner was so easy to work with and the accomadations were great. The photos do not do tis place justice. Thanks

Lots of space making it perfect for large gatherings of family and friends. Plenty of living rooms, sleeping space and bathrooms. Two kitchens perfect for entertaining or if you don't want to cook-in the clubhouse is right down the street. The outdoor area includes multiple decks to enjoy the amazing lake views. Boating, fishing, grilling and hot tubbing were some of our favorite activities. Host was gracious and very responsive. Definitely recommend and I hope that my family makes it back soon!

Our family has visited this property twice and absolutely love it. We would 100% recommend it, and has accommodated our large very well. Very spacious. Incredible views.

Overall good. Place is really tired and needs updating and dejunking of whole house with the new ownership. . Need to redo all mattress’s except master bedroom. Would make most of them kings and one room with 8 bunks. Need all new dishes. None of this is structural and would certainly command a higher rent. Cheap fix to a great property!

We have stayed at Greystone Manor in the past and have always loved the location and the wonderful home. It has so much space that our group of 16 never felt crowded or "on top of each other". This place is perfect for large groups, especially with two kitchens and the large outdoor seating area on the lower porch. Coming with a pontoon boat and an outside jacuzzi make it "over the top". We cannot wait to see all of the new changes that will come to the property with the new owner.

What a wonderful place to have an extended family stretch out and enjoy each other. Great layout, wonderful lake access (and a boat!) and delightful weather made everyone happy.

PROS:• The location of this home is stunning – unbelievable views. Anyone renting this property the week of July 4th has the best seats in the house for the incredible firework display on the lake.• The layout of the home is unique and while not one we would choose for a full-time living situation it is perfect for rentals especially with multiple families allowing each their own special floor/wing of the home.• The house was very well provisioned! Plenty of linens and towels. Having TWO kitchens was wonderful and both kitchens were well provisioned. The home had more appliances and utensils than was expected.• We loved the lower-level kitchen and dining area and the “café style” outdoor seating allowing all of us to eat together and mix it up every night.• Our little ones loved the lake area “sand box” for play.• The house is very private.• While that driveway is steep it was long and would easily accommodate 10+ tandem cars! Loved the road level parking pad as well allowing us to keep a vehicle easily available for ice or grocery runs.• Loved having the commercial ice maker. Still had to supplement with ice bags daily, we Irish have a consumption problem! …but that was a nice creature feature.• Multiple Laundry Rooms was such a plus!CONS:• The Pontoon boat became a mechanical issue / risk and stranded some of us one morning. But Ronnie was excellent in communication and tried to get someone there to fix it. It was the 4th of July week. • The main room view with all of the floor to ceiling doors and windows provided a beautiful lake view, however, the home gets morning sun on the lake side (which we loved as had shade mid afternoon and evening!) BUT this room gets really warm in the mornings. • The sliding double glass doors on the main level specifically the ones from the main Living Room and sliders from the kitchen are very worn and difficult to open. in fairness to the new owner, this property changed ownership the week prior. It is dated but it is really functional for a large group. Hence the 4/5 stars. WE would go back

We gathered for our family reunion at Greystone Manor for the first time, and plan to return. The house accommodated our large party very comfortably. Wow is all we could say when we walked through the front door. The house is huge, plenty of room for our extended family. Beautiful views, multiple decks. The waterfront, kayaks and pontoon boat were icing on the cake. A wonderful place to vacation! Oh, and Cindy was very responsive to all of the questions that we had.

We brought a total of 20 individuals (12 adults, 8 children) and we were initially worried about there being enough space...until we walked into the house. The house is massive, spanning across 3 floors with plenty of bedrooms and sleeping space. So many activities to do at the house that we never even left over the long weekend. Everyone had an amazing Memorial Day Weekend and the owner was fantastic with timely communication and even checking in while on the trip. Thank you again Cindy!

I stayed here with a large group for my 40th birthday. The locations and accommodations well surpassed my expectations. I've rented many cabins in the past and it's hard to find a place that comfortable sleeps over 12 people. Highly recommended!

This home is truly spectacular and big enough for sharing with extended family. Cindy went out of her way to make sure we made the best out of our time at the lake. We had a beautiful sunny day in December and got to enjoy some of the majestic Lake Lure views from the pontoon. There is an Ingles store 3 miles away where we were able to get everything we needed for our stay. We built wonderful memories and took amazing pictures! So very grateful to Cindy!!!
