It was a one night stay so near town, bus station and ferry. Great view, nice balcony
Basic, no kettle, tea, coffee. Back entrance was not inviting and owner was an old lady on oxygen, pleasant though

The location, the design and the furnitures of the room were magnificient.I felt like in the 18-19th century😊Also, despite her old age the madam owner of the hotel was so kind and helpful🌺

Very nice owner and staff. Quiet, nothing complicated, and comfortable. Very clean. Wonderful view from the front balcony.
There was nothing I didn’t like

location and the host

Lady owner, Athena I think, is a real character. She put is in a sea view room, originally for just 1 night but she allowed us to stay for the full 2 nights. Location is great, on the front, right in the heart of Kavala.
Some tea or coffee facilties would be good, but there are lots of places nearby.

This has been a hotel since 1935. The furniture is original (and in very good condition). We stayed in rooms 114 and 115. They share a balcony. Remember that this is not a new hotel. The ceilings are 3 metres (10 feet) or more. One room was smallish, but decent enough for two people. The other room was large and had a door to the balcony. The view from these two rooms was fabulous. The bathrooms are a recent addition (and therefore take up some of the space in the room). The owner speaks Greek, English and some Bulgarian (and maybe other languages). The windows have been replaced with modern double pane glass, so although the hotel is on a main road and across the street from the harbour, there was no noise in the room when the windows were closed. There is an elevator, but you have to go up one flight of stairs to reach it. Otherwise, be prepared to walk up five flights of stairs (maybe 30-40 stairs). But, it is worth the climb if you are staying in the two rooms with the balcony.
Everything exceeded our expectation, but remember that this is a 1935 hotel, do not expect 2020 style and conveniences. The WiFi was a little weak, but usable.

Location is great and check in very smooth. Room is basic. Lovely hot shower.
There was a very very strong smell of tobacco in the common area and a bit in the room, that might bother some guest a lot

Excellent location: 3 minutes from bus station, 3 min to exellent Fish&Grill (Filikis Eterias 1), up to 10 min walk to ferry pier and oldest part of the town. Room and furniture old-fashioned but clean (except a part of ceiling) and in good condition. The mattress ensures a good night's sleep.
The hotel is on the main street. Even though the traffic is moderate, better to use the earplugs.
You need to wait approx. 3 min waiting for hot water but it's not unusual in greek, almost empty house with heating device seated on roof.
A nice lady (probably the owner), who cares on guests, rooms and keys, smokes a lot on a corridor. The irritant odour comes into the rooms and could be unbearable for those who don't smoke.

Views, location, Host Athena, athmosphere of the house and beautiful household. We loved staying there

the view of the room we stayed was great. The hotel is in downtown Kavala so you dont need to use your car at night to go to restaurants/bars. The lady in reception was very helpful and nice.
Everything was so old, can be better if it is renovated. The bath size is small, needs renovation as well.

It is basic, just for spending sleeping time, and the location is great. The staff was very friendly, she was my favourite.
It smells like smoke around.

The owner of the hotel Mrs Athena is very lovely
they turn off the heating in the midnight and we (2 families)couldnt be able to sleep because of cold rooms till the morning and we left the hotel at 6.00 in the morning.

The only good thing is the location, right in the city center.
This hotel is a disgrace. Everything there is from the past century and I mean the beggining of it! And the price is huuuuge for what it offers.
