The location was quiet and the bed very comfortable. It's close to a river with views of Mt Buffalo.
There was very little contact with the host (no one at check in) and whilst advertising a kitchen, the facilities weren't really suitable as they required to you to cook outside.
4.0
The bbq facilities fire pit and the beautiful walk to the creek
A few things missing from room
Some cutlery - hair dryer
2.0
Good location for access to Bright/Porepunkah/Mount Buffalo
Spacious room
Decent amount of crockery/cutlery
Good heating provided
No WiFi - apparently they have told booking.com to remove this from the ad, but despite knowing this had not been done, they made no attempt made to relay this to customers. Phone signal variable in the area so this caused us problems.
Check in was appalling - reception hours not as advertised on booking.com. Received a call earlier in the day asking us to confirm our check in time but nobody answered when we called back. Turned up within stated check in hours to find reception shut and other guests waiting outside. Eventually got someone on the phone and turned out they'd left the key in our room, but made no attempt to tell us this, very odd and not at all welcoming.
Soap tray in shower was dirty. Rest of room was clean so perhaps this was simply missed.
In response to hotel reply - I received a single missed call and answerphone message from the hotel asking to confirm our check in time. I called back twice but no answer. Emergencies happen but you can't close your reception early without informing guests due to check in that day. Poor customer service hence 5.0 review.

The setting and land area in which this motel complex is situated bodes well for its future success.
The owners are obviously working hard in updating rooms and facilities and it works!
We did not meet the owner/operators however this did not create problems in room access or enjoying amenity.
It is a busy time of year for the hospitality industry so attention to ensuring reception is staffed at times indicated would be advised - as we have hospitality industry experience, we would have enjoyed personally thanking our hosts and encouraging them in their endeavors.

Nice, clean, good location
Stayed for 3 nights no one was reachable to ask for room service. Bin was overflowing and no coffee/milk was refilled. No microwave in the room. No one was found in the reception even after going multiple times. No one picks up the call too.

The room was clean and comfortable
I had to call reception when we arrived and the area was very untidy

We really enjoyed our stay at the Buffalo Motel. The location was perfect - right on the Murray-Mountains river trail - we cycled into Bright, which took under 30 minutes. The room was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. We would stay again!

what breakfast?
there was breakfast?
I didn't know there was breakfast
The pillows, too hard or too soft.
Mattress was maybe a bit soft.

The owner was extremely helpful and the location fantastic. Beautiful property and only 4km out of Bright. Our room was lovely, the bed very comfortable and at a price we could afford. Would definitely stay again if ever in the area.
4.5
Amazing value, flexible check-in arrangement, clean and refurbished rooms
Staff availability on site, only seen one, which is okay if that's they way it is, but there is no visible contact number that we can call for to ask for assistance. Also the pillows are too soft for my preferences.

Lovely location and warm and obliging staff. We had chosen a king room but on arrival, we found the bed too soft for our personal taste. The staff were trying to manage a lightening strike that had temporarily taken out the local area’s internet when we asked the beautiful manager if there was another bed option. She and one of the friendly cleaning staff were only too happy to assist us in changing to a more suitable bed for us. They made up another room while we went on a bike ride and it was all beautifully presented when we returned. Both my partner and I would like to say thanks. We have now stayed at the Buffalo Motel twice and will definitely do so again if we are back in Porepunkah.

This is the second time we have stayed in this delightful motel and we were so pleased, once again, with the rooms set in a beautiful and well maintained garden with the mountains in the background. The rooms are very comfortable and clean with all you need for a relaxing stay. Terrific location - quiet but a short distance into Porpunkah and then Bright. We will return!
4.5
Location was good for us , near Porepunkah for walks and Punks Pub.
Close to Bright.
All good

absolutely loved the property. it was stunning. I love the decking area. absolutely beautiful area.
the room was really run down in some areas. our front door didn’t close properly so we didn’t know if it was locked at night. there was a door chain, however that was broken so we couldn’t use that to ensure the place was locked up.
3.5
Loved the surroundings, river access, outdoor cooking and eating facilities, fire pits.
Room layout not thought through - shower was extremely small (600x600). The shower rose needed updating. The nib wall between the toilet could have been extended to provide a deeper shower say 900x600. Cutlery/crockery, toaster, coffee machine and kettle are place across the room from fridge.
If patrons are meant to wash up cutlery and crockery then a basin with some shelf space of benchtop would be handy.
If room is not serviced daily, perhaps a box should be provided to enable patrons to ask for top ups like coffee pods, sugar, towels, etc
Towels - suggest you have a darker coloured towels for patrons to take with them to the numerous waterfalls in the area.
Mozzie repellent candles provided but no matches.
The details found in the outdoor area were not reflected in the rooms.
Staff was super friendly but there was no conversations about where did you go today, recommend where to go during the stay. Brochures and google always there but nothing like the manager recommending places...the personal touch was lacking. Front of house seemed chaotic - perhaps lacking in staff?

The room was lively, a good size, nice decor, clean, included a small amount of kitchenware, snd bar fridge, coffee machine, toaster.
The mattress needs replacing. It sags downwards towards the head and on each side.

We loved our stay. Room had been refurbished and was lovely. Location is quiet and relaxing and is within walking distance to porepunkah township. Great outdoor communal kitchen and deck.

We had a business trip. The motel was 2 minutes from the venue and the bed was super comfortable. I actually booked 1 too many nights. The staff were happy to refund. Hope to stay again in future.

Shower was very compact.

Seamless and flexible late check in. Heater and electric blankets were on when we arrived which made for immediate comfort. A very nice touch.
