Small detached house, Silence. Perfectly cleared snow.
Everything is used a lot

the location was good - isolated and good spot for northern light viewing since it was fairly dark.
bathroom was nice and warm, and the shower had good pressure and temperature.
The cabin was cold the entire time - I had to go to sleep wearing my base and mid layers, and have multiple blankets. The floor was REALLY cold - I woke up to ice in the water bottle I had kept on the floor. Contacting the reception was not helpful…
There was no Wi-Fi, even though it was advertised as there will be.
I luckily had a rental car, but if I did not, getting from the reception to the cabin would’ve been a task in itself.

Left us a sweet lunch package and were very kind in general. Forgot to take a stuffed animal with us and they made sure it got back to us!
About the area...nice and quiet... even in main season you would have your privacy here.
Thank you!

The cottage is located right across the street from pyhäjärvi, great views and great grounds to spend time, make a fire and play with kids.
The sauna/shower areas are quite inconvenient, the lighting was a bit faulty making the cottage dark and the WiFi never worked, we informed the staff about it, but they never fixed it.

POROLA- booked at the last minute I was looking for reasonably priced cottage in Pyhä area that allowed pets. very happy with this small cottage. it had everything I needed, was quiet, cozy, and the area was good for short walks with the dog.
Only a short drive from centre of Pyhä.
Before my arrival the cottage could have been aired a little more, with the air being rather heavy and only one window that could be opened.
Furnishing/ textiles could be updated - a little dated.

The staff, service and rooms were great! The cabin that we had booked was overbooked due to issues with booking.com. But they upgraded us into the Aurora suite which was very nice of them.
Breakfast was average. Could have been better

staff was nice to follow up with me on the concerns we had the day before when she saw me at the breakfast area. quick to resolve the issues I had
too cold for my liking. but i might appreciate the temperature in the room if it wasn’t for winter season

Although we were staying in the cottage, there was breakfast provided in the restaurant. Sauna in the cottage is really great. Location of Asteli is terrific if one wants to do cross-country skiing, ski tracks start 100m away from the cottage and various routes are conveniently available.
Cottage is very pleasant, only thing missing is the oven! Also freezer locker was broken, and was not really usable, but as we were staying in the midst of winter, we were able to have our frozen stuff in the outdoor storage.

Fantastic and very friendly service at the reception. The cottage was very cozy and roomy. The main reason we booked this was due to the extra bedroom, because our baby likes to sleep on her own. Good facilities, kitchen, sauna, fireplace etc.
The cottage was a bit worn out in some places but it didn't bother us that much. The heatpump could get a bit loud, although you cannot hear it inside the bedrooms. There was fireplace and wood but no matches or lighter and it was too late to call the reception anymore, this was a bit of annoyance.

The cottage is very spacious and clean.
The price level is slightly high for the overall

Good spot. Good fire. Nice building exterior. It was quiet. The man at the desk was very nice and accommodating. It was what we needed after a long hike.
The sauna wasn’t very hot. Had to pay for bed linens and towels. The interior was a bit dated. The shower wasn’t very hot or powerful.

Good location for a free skier. Easy to come and go, short drive to Pyhä / Luosto backcountry skiing places.
Oven would be nice. Cooking on stove is a bit limiting.
No trash recycling available, just one big bin for everything.
