Gute Ausgangsbasis, um Lancester zu besuchen

Zentrale Lage, sehr freundliches Personal, schöne Einrichtung auch in der Gastwirtschaft

In den Fenstern waren Schimmelspuren. Aufgrund des Denkmalschutzes sind es sehr alte Fenster, die sich nicht öffnen lassen. Dementsprechend ist es schwierig mit der Lüftung. Aber der Schimmel an den Fensterrahmen war leicht abwischbar.

Enjoyable stop over in Lancaster, Borough is very central and a lively pub.

Great central location , very comfortable room and lovely bathroom.

room was big, great location.

smokers sat on step outside and the smoke kept coming in to my room as i was above the front door. had to aske on several occasions for them to move. Hotel needs to ensure people do not smoke at the entrances.

Elegant pub hotel with tasty breakfast

Arrived late but met very friendly pub staff 🥹. The room is so lovely (and huge!! — coming from London and its vicinity). Wish I could stay longer but… maybe I’ll return to Lancaster next time, even just to stay here! I almost want to keep this gem and only tell family and friends, but the place deserves recognition. Bathroom is spacious with nice amenity. I really appreciate the cookie jar ☺️ and the emphasis on local produce from food to Cumbrian shower gel and conditioner. And I can’t be more grateful for that they kindly allowed me to store my luggage for a few extra days after checking out <3 Breakfast: beautifully presented and of nice portion. Though my egg was fried instead of poached as requested, the skill is not bad. Local sausage tastes delicious and meaty. Mushroom is well seasoned and buttery (something is probably microwaved- ding*). And it’s always enjoyable to have a proper full English with black pudding. Tea and brewed coffee and yoghurt and granola available too. Toast costs extra pound so I’ll save my carb quota for the later conference sandwich at the university. The dinner menu, also with local offerings, sounds quite nice and thoughtful. Sadly I couldn’t make to an earlier train.

Bought as a 2 night stay away for my parents but won’t be booking again. Still waiting to hear back from the property af

We got put into room 2 and the room was dusty, marks on the furniture (not the cleaners fault some of the furniture needs replacing), the view was off a messy garden area where beer barrels were and staff were smoking ( I know they need somewhere to go so not blaming them but maybe try and keep it tidier if it’s a view from a bedroom), and in the evening trying to have a shower and the hot water wasn’t working. Was moved to another room the second night which was better but definitely could do with a freshen up! But essentially a whole nights stay was wasted.

Short break to see a Northern Soul conce

The room was separate to the Hotel and was excellent in furnishings and comfort.

Lovely place

Beautiful place, excellent location, very well maintained rooms, very clean and the staff is absolutely lovely. Pet friendly as well which made out stay even more enjoyable.

Our hot water was not working around bed time. However the staff was very apologetic and it was back working in the morning.

Mothers Day

Absolutely brilliant staff, so welcoming to myself & Pebbles (my dog)..so well looked after. Breakfast was so tasty. Pebbles got treats too, very friendly.Central to everything. Met up with family for mother's day, absolutely perfect.

Good gastro pub with rooms. I would stay there again

Nicely furnished room- clean and very quiet. Helpful staff. Good food in the restaurant.

The restaurant was rather noisy - It was a Satuday night and everyone was enjoying themselves.

Brilliant stay at The Borough.

Fabulous room with the most comfortable bed, absolutely loved the walk in shower, everything was spotlessly clean, couldn't fault it. The staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful from start to finish and the food was superb, evening meal and breakfast. Excellent location in the very centre of Lancaster with car parks close by. Will definitely recommend to family and friends and will stay again without hesitation.

We enjoyed our stay with you but found it a bit expensive

Enjoyed breakfast, didn’t have dinner. Thought the meals were overpriced

A bit more heat in the restaurant would have helped with comfort. We found that having to climb four sets of stairs was a bit wearing

It was an excellemt stay.

The property is ver accessible to the city center. A lovely view of Dalton square. Wa And the property is really value for the money. The staff are so accommodating to my request and made sure that the first night of my Family in UK is unforgettable. Thank you so much

Repeat visitors favourite Lancaster hotel.

Great location, lovely building.

We’ve been coming here for many years and recommend it to many people. We will continue to use The Borough as our preferred place to stay in Lancaster. It is in need of a bit of TLC currently, a lock of paint and refresh some beds and it will be back to its usual high standards.

Overall really good. Just had issues with the laundry/bedsheets cleanliness.

The room design, layout, and features were great.

The bedsheets were covered with hairs that did not belong to me or my wife. Very upsetting to see this detail.

Very impressive place to stay and very good value.

The overall impression in this pub/hotel is very welcoming, with a nice public bar at the entrance and friendly staff. My room was far better than I had imagined, very large, with adequate storage, and tastefully furnished. My only problem is a common one - the bed was too soft for my taste. Breakfast service lasted until mid-day, which could be useful for some people, and the full-English was very good. I had a large bathroom with a very good shower cubicle. Lunch and dinner is available in the bar.

Great hotel and our room which is located outside hotel was lovely with own courtyard.

We had room 10 which is located out on street to the left of building as you look at it. Lovely room with sofa/lounge area, open plan. Lovely modern bathroom with walk in shower. Great little outdoor courtyard with table and chairs, very private. 5min walk into city centre. About 15min walk to train station. Hotel has nice bar area with lots of different seating and little rooms, quite unique.

Nothing it is disgusting there and the people don’t care!

The rooms are gross, and the stairs to get to them are dangerously steep. We went in the room it smells like mold. We told them my relative could not go up the stairs. And they would not do anything for us. I top of the room floors being uneven and smelly carpet, the bathroom has black mold. We did not stay there and they would not refund they basically stole money from us! Should have zero star rating!!

Beautiful stay couldn’t ask for more.

Beautiful building, location perfect, the staff where very attentive and polite. Very Relaxed feeling to the hotel. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious, very modern, lovely big comfy bed. Food was delicious and plentiful. Drinks a lot to chose from. Definitely be back.
